I'm so disappointed to see Forked River getting so little love here on Yelp as they were truly my introduction to local craft beer all the way back in the fall of 2012 and my love affair with it remains to this day. Their sincere enthusiasm and passion for quality local beer was contagious and they continue to not only make great suds - but really engage and promote the local community. Forked River is of course a nod to our beloved Thames and many of the offerings also nod to local history. While likely best known for their Capital Blonde and and Riptide Rye - they have plenty of other, some seasonal, with name like Run & Gunn and Lord Simcoe's Revenge with alcohol percentages that can near or top 10%. While not my normal 'cup of tea' these beers are too good to resist. Well, sometimes the next morning ... but I digress. Sure, you can enjoy them not at the LCBO and plenty of local bars but consider at least one trip to get it straight from the source. They have a store and sample room which often stocks creations that can only be found there. Every time that I have been they have about a dozen different beere available for purchase and range from anywhere from $3-$10 a bottle. Of course, they are larger bottles - and they also have growlers, which are even larger. As the brewery is out near Clarke & Dundas, I have to admit that I don't often make the trip myself but am always happy when I do. The guys, all proud Londoners, are super friendly and quick to offer a suggestion or a joke. Even better? You can often see them out and about at community events and it is my sincere hope that Londoners will support them as much as they support us - cheers!

Best beer in town. Thumbs up for the Delta sour beer. Loved their amazingly refreshing session beers.

I was a regular at Block 3 when I lived in Waterloo. Well, if I'm honest, I was there all the time…read moreand they should have charged me rent. You might think beer was my primary motivation, and in the beginning it was. Block 3 is a small batch craft brewery that delivers on tasty beer. They generally have ten to twelve beers on tap ranging from lagers, ales, sours and sometimes a stout. They are all delicious in their own right although drinking barrel aged fruited sours is an acquired taste in my book, but trust me try them and you may learn to love them. But why else should you go? There is limited food (it's a brewery not a restaurant), no TV's to watch the game, a steady stream of classic rock playing in the background, kids running around and a few dogs to greet you on the way in. To make matters worse the cell reception is awful, my wife always had a hard time reaching me. Hmm, maybe that's not all bad... What kind of place is this, anyway? It's a modern twist on an old fashioned FAMILY oriented brewery, that's what! There are plenty of board games to play, the local regulars are always happy to share some stories, and the staff are the coolest people around. They have a great Mug Club and if you are lucky you get your own hand-thrown pottery mug with your name on it! Very cool... As I mentioned in one of my check-ins, Block 3 is a benchmark craft brewery experience. I can't recommend this place highly enough,

Great addition to the area. Walk in and go downstairs…read more Nice selections, plus games available.

A most pleasant weekday afternoon was spent here, enjoying a couple of beers. The American Lager…read more"Keets" was light and crisp, perfect for sipping as I wrote a few reviews from a very nice table against the wall. Power and wifi worked well and it was quiet here today. Storm Stayed has a large seating area with mostly communal tables but some at the bar. I'd call it "Scandinavian" style with light wood colors and not a lot of decoration. Over in the kitchen, a few options that pair well with the beers such as hot dogs and pretzels. Outside seating is also available but too hot today for that! The beer list is constantly changing as they make new ones. Many/most of their beers are available to go. A great option for chilling and I'm glad I landed here for a while! I'm SO happy to have a craft brewery in my neighborhood. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Just a short walk from my house, I can now enjoy a craft beer in a unique environment. Storm Stayed has lots of their own beers plus lots of guest brews to choose from. I had two types, their Daybreak (blonde ale), and their Bad Math. Both were very refreshing and SO delicious. Having been to a few small craft brewers here in town, I'd say that Storm Stayed had the best taste hands down! In addition to great beer, they have lots of seating and lots of games you can pick up and play. I love that they push a 'sit anywhere' policy. I'm sure on busy evenings, this would be a great way to meet people! Storm Stayed gets a half a mark off for overall atmosphere. If you are looking for something cozy and intimate, this may not work for you. With its tall, bare, white walls, large spaces between tables, and echo-y acoustics, it can feel kind of cold and cavernous. The top 40 music being played from the tiny speaker in the corner didn't really fit in either. These things, however, will not keep me away. I'm excited to stop in for more brews that Storm Stayed cooks up! They are always adding unique flavors and guest taps. They also host small events like bike workshops. I need to come back to try their small selection of locally made food. The pretzels sounded amazing.

Willibald Farm Distillery & Brewery is a great spot for a "get together and hangout for hours" sort…read moreof place. Their location is out on a working farm and distillery so it is out of the way via a country road. Their restaurant is great with indoor and outdoor patio seating. Would recommend indoor due to flies and weather. Their drinks are very good and their food surprisingly excellent for a place that's mainly a distillery. We were here as a group of 6 and ordered a bit of everything. Our order: - Caesar Salad (decently sized, everyone got some) - Mushroom Pappardelle (excellent sauce and very silky, every pasta noodle had loads of sauce, the best part of the meal) - Bee Sting (great pizza, comparable with places that just focus on pizza) - Cheese Monger (all the cheese pizza) - Truffle Funghi (not too strong of truffle, just enough and it all came together nicely) - Ontario Burratini (a great bread + dip with peaches, second best part of the meal) Drinks: - Gin Mule (basically a Moscow mule but with Gin) - Spritz (cherry) The service was amazing, food started coming out around 10 mins after ordering. Ordering did take a while as they were quite busy. The attached store sold their brand of drinks, some of which you only could get there. Lots of customers came and went with cases of drinks. We got some gin to bring home as well. They have a drinks stall at St. Jacob's if you are in the area (no restaurant though). For a distillery, not only do they have great drinks, but all their food seems well thought out and a great choice all on its own. The only con is that they are pretty out of the way, but worth the day trip. They have ample parking and you can hangout on the lawn for as long as you like. They have an outdoor bar as well as corn hole and tables for you to hangout at. Board games and picnic blankets encouraged.

I had a wonderful time and I'm looking forward to coming back for the amazing food and beautiful farm!
