What is it with these home improvement stores that have apps that don't fully work. We ordered 11…read moreforty pounds of pellets for the pellet stove. That is 440 pounds! I selected the free curbside pickup. Until pickup, everything went smoothly. After describing my car and its color, I punched repeatedly "I'm here" on the app only to get an error message saying something was wrong on their end. We tried several more times before giving up and calling the store. No one answered the phone. So hubby headed into the store, waited in line, until a cart was wheeled out with 11 bags of pellets. Oh no. I specifically asked for curbside pickup because we are older and that is alot of weight. I did not want him wheeling this cart that had a mind of its own. I certainly was hoping curbside pickup with this weight meant that you'd get help. I myself am useless lifting that much weight. So 5 stars for ordering but 1 star for pickup averages to 3 stars. That is probably overly generous because Ontario Home Depot failed on everything they specifically had control over.

Arrived at 2:50 and they rented it to the man in front of me in line. I explained who I was and that I was there to pick up and rent the tiller and they said they thought the other guy was me, didn't check his name (even though he has to sign a contract with his name and provide an ID), and had already signed the contact and couldn't void it. Manager came over and apologized and offered to have them hold it for me when the man returned it, which could be tomorrow morning or the day after, but that they would call me. Ironic that they asked me to trust them to do a more complicated task then "don't rent this to anyone else until 3 except this person" when they miserably failed at that one. Needless to say I left and won't be returning. I have a Pro account with HD and have spent $10k+ in the last 12 months. No more. Sad that HD is sinking to this level of customer service and cannot provide basic, simple services to their customers without failing.

These rebates are a major reason I've continued to do business with Menards, and having them denied is extremely concerning. What's worse is the lack of support from store management. The Assistant General Manager I spoke with was dismissive, appeared to laugh off the situation, and refused to offer any help or attempt to resolve the issue. Customer beware: if you are relying on Menards rebates, understand that they may not be honored. I will be reconsidering where I spend both my personal and business money moving forward.

Now I am not the type of buyer that only buys for price. I also compare shipping time, where it's coming from and if available, past reviews. Eric's Outdoor Furniture had not only good reviews but also an easy website to navigate and just so happens they had the best pricing as well. I ordered the glider and received it within a quicker than expected timeframe. The assembly was easy and only took about 25 minutes. When I ordered the glider I added an optional cup holder. Although given only an option to buy one cup holder for a 2 person glider I assumed the reason was that only one would fit. So the only issue was the mounts for the cup holder came through black and not the antique mahogany that i ordered for the glider. I also found that I could have had 2 cup holders. No big deal, I went back on the website and ordered another one. I also contacted Eric's Outdoor Furniture to find out if the mounts were supposed to be black and to inquire about the price of the additional cup holder costing more than the bundled one. Now this is why I like to see prior reviews. Eric's Outdoor Furniture replied that the mounts were supposed to be the same color as the glider and that because there website did not allow for a second cup holder to be purchased that they credited my purchase of the 2nd cup holder to reflect the price of the first one. They will also be sending out the correct colored mounts for the first one. There was no hesitation on there part and I didn't even ask for the credit. Overall I got a great product at a great price with even greater customer service. I could not have asked for more.
