I have been a customer at this store for almost 20 years. I have rental properties and I usually buy at least one major appliance a year, often more. Today I was given a 10 am- 2 pm delivery window. I waited for the four hours, called the store for an update. On my first call the salesman told me he was too busy to check for my delivery status. On the second call, no one answered. The first salesman called back after about 25 min, told me that I need an time. He told me he would call me back again, and thought that he had hung up, but instead told a call worker that he had a belligerent woman on the phone. Belligerent because I have been asking for an update after my delivery window expired? I called back and asked to speak with a manager. I don't know if the person who took the line was a manager or not, but they tried to explain to me that it's not unusual to wait 6 hours, or more, for delivery, because the drivers encounter unexpected things. I explained that having a 4-hour delivery window that could expand up to six or seven hours, is not reasonable. Dispatchers, drivers, salespeople need to use customer time better. I used to send my clients to this store, my colleagues, but will no longer. Shop elsewhere, any "bargain" you might get is outweighed by the staff attitude. I wanted to share those because a lot of people don't share when there is a real issue and how the place they bought a product from handles it. I had an issue with the dryer that the manufacturer would not help with and was being an overwhelming pain in the ass. The team at ABC warehouse went above and beyond, and stepped up to make sure as a customer I was taken care of. That is real customer service. Two recent purchase made in 2023 resulted in poor customer service. Once your money is spend, you are on your own. I was shopping for a refrigerator. Stopped at Home Depot and Lowes. both stores had the model I was looking for. Decided to check ABC Warehouse. Spoke with the sales person that greeted me when I entered the store. He walked me back to the refrigerators and showed me the same model I had seen at Lowes and Home Depot and asked what I thought. I told him I liked the refrigerator but I had seen it for a hundred dollars less at the two other stores I had been at. The salesman asked where I had seen the lower prices and I told him. He said he would check it out but that he was certain I was wrong about the price and suggested I was lying about the price at the competitions stores. Not being accustomed to a sales person accusing me of being a liar I walked out of the store while he sarcastically thanked me for stopping in and in an equally sarcastic tone told me to have a good rest of my day. The worst customer service from Our salesman Munir, on hall rd, m59. He wanted to sell us a more expensive stove and we explained it was for a rental property. Bottom line he was angry about his commission and just kept arguing with me. The other employees could here him saying he needs to stop arguing. I am probably one if the best customers they have as we own 52 rental properties. My usual salesmen left which left me with this jerk. Will not be doing business with ABC in the future. read more

We purchased a new washer and dryer. The dryer caught fire on the first load. Maytag. They said to call Maytag to fix it. They wouldn't do anything about it even with the warranty I purchased. I talked with rude management who didn't properly look into our issue and assumed I'd had the brand new washer and dryer for months. I asked for a refund and they said that they couldn't take it back because it was now "used". My issue found it's way to regional management and they found me a new dryer. They delivered it today and what do you know.....it's also broken!!!! I will never deal, purchase, or recommend this place to anyone. My efforts when asked about any appliance will to broadcast this story with every ounce of enthusiasm I can about how terrible we've been treated. Now, our sales person was very nice and the fellas that delivered the dryer were also nice. No discredit to them. Management and the way we have been handled is wrong. We did our homework and found out that for a range, ABC Warehouse had the best prices. Of course we were talked into one that was more than we planned to spend but overall I felt like the price was fair. What I DON'T think is fair is that ABC Warehouse charges 39.99 for delivery when every other place I looked into offers free delivery. The savings were not as much when you factor in the cost of the delivery. Bonus tip: Kurt Bair was our salesperson and if you enjoy the freebies they usually give you (on one occasion we were given a nice roasting pan, another gift was a set of dishware and glasses and another time a very nice DVD collection) then choose a DIFFERENT salesperson. He gave us a set of plastic spoons with a value of $2.88. read more

We purchased a $3500 refrigerator from the Brighton store and fortunately got the extended warranty. This thing has been a total disappointment. The ice makers work infrequently, it was turning off and on at a whim, and the water stopped flowing. The coil has been replaced once, the seal and ice door were replaced once, and the main panel twice. The issue I have is that you cannot contact the store for issues directly and you must go thru their unfortunately named "customer care" line. I have emailed them 3 times for my latest issue and have had no response. I want this lemon replaced but the company insists on temporary patches. I truly regret this purchase. read more

I purchased a couch from ABC Warehouse in Farmington just over a year ago, was talked into purchasing an extended warranty by the salesman who stated everything would be covered no matter what. The recliner would not recline due to cable breaking and cheap metal frame was bending, they sent a company out and it took nearly 4 months to get them to come back to repair and during the repair they gouged my wood floor, 1 week later it broke again and now the recliner cannot be closed so the foot rest is sticking out, they send the same company out to repair which took another 4 weeks to get them out. they actually had the audacity to tell us I am sitting in it wrong (lol) and are not going to cover it, nor have I heard what they are going to do about my floor. This complaint is my first step of testing every avenue of pursuing nothing less than complete resolve. Next stop Better Business Bureau, District Attorney General and small claims. They will not be happy with my efforts and reviews on every site possible, not to mention a visit to the store where I can voice my displeasure in front of their customers, I absolutely hate getting screwed so get ready ABC I have no filters!!! read more

Update They delivered dented items and not even all the things I ordered. Never called and said they didnt have all the items. Found out when the delivery guys got to my house. Not sure I really like this place. The salesman was nice and knowledgeable. He was not the typical pushy slime-ball sales guy. They had a decent size selection of appliances. The prices on sale were good. Like someone else wrote they charge for delivery. I have seen things for the same price at both Home depot t and ABC. With Home Depot having free delivery it makes them cheaper. But I believe ABC has better sales and will negotiate on things. So I think ABC does have the best prices if you can get a sale. read more

My wife and I shop nowhere else for our appliance needs. There is a competitor across the street that truly is not the "best". The competitors' employees cannot even find the products listed in their flyer. Go to ABC in Brighton and see Kurt. He is knowledgeable, very courteous and goes out of his way to make a customer feel comfortable. We recently bought a large tv from Kurt. As with everything, we are happy with price and the product. We now have a dishwasher, stove, 2 refrigerators, 3 televisions and a microwave in our house that we bought at the Brighton location. The guy who works at the car audio department is strange and lacking social skills. When you take your car in to get anything done they will not be able to give a time for when it will be ready, and will refuse to estimate. They will also leave a huge mess in your car and may or may not mess up the wiring inside of your vehicle. Good luck using this place! read more

I never enjoy stores that have employees working on commission, but ABC warehouse is even worse than normal. I was sold a computer that come to find out was literally the worst of them all, but had the highest commission price for the salesman. They are very knowledgeable about their products, that is which ones make them the most money. I can understand wanting to make money, however, doesn't it bother you selling someone something that you know is garbage just so you can make an extra five bucks? I have been waiting 3 weeks for a fridge that was supposed to be delivered 4 days after ordering, which is 2.5 weeks from today's date and they keep telling me they have no idea when it will be in. Very misleading sales people. 5 years ago I bought my first home and needed all appliances. Dropped a ton of money to do so. When presented the warranties, they were for 5 years and the sales rep stated that if I didn't use the extended warranty that I get half of it back. So I made my trip to the store to get it back only to find out that the money back is a store credit. Not what I expected but ok, I can find something. Then I was told that I would need original receipts from day of purchase 5 years ago. I asked if they could reprint my receipt and while they could they said it wouldn't be accepted because it says "duplicate" on the receipt. With that said, I am actually looking to buy another house and I planned on using ABC again because of the great deal I got 5 years ago but I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere. Bought a stand-up freezer over a month ago, get it home and find the door was damaged. After weeks of runaround, finally got them to contact the service co. for a replacement. Original service co. handed it off to a 2nd co. 2nd co. ordered a door, 2 weeks later it comes in, damaged. Now they tell me I have to wait AT LEAST another 7-10 days for them to order another door. Well in the past I have bought a ton of stuff from ABC in Brighton from Bill including Mattresses, Refrigerators, Stove, Dishwashers, TV's, Stereos, Car Audio, Surround Sound Systems, etc. etc. etc.. Any issues I have had were dealt with fairly and quickly as they could. Well my wife bought me a dual recliner from ABC and about 5 weeks ago it broke. Both motors on the recliners failed and would not go down or up so they were stuck in the up position. Now I don't have Gordie money so my living room is small so this was a big inconvenience for my family. Anyways called them and they said it would take 3 weeks to get someone to look at it as Ashley only has a service person in the area once a month. Not happy but it is what it is. Came out last tuesday, could not fix anything but said he would order parts. Called STore Mgr. SHaun, he said he would call us back in 24-48 hours after he heard from the repair company, almost a week later, nothing. Call Shaun, he said case was closed and nothing was done. Nice, Shaun the store Mgr. in Brighton and Ed the District Manager for the area do not return phone calls or call back when they say they are going to. 5 weeks for a broken recliner is unacceptable and now I am back where I started it seems. So I have a broken piece of junk Ashley furniture in my living room that is just reclined taking up way too much room that I can't really sit in. No need to fix this piece of crap...Tomorrow morning it will be in front of your store and I will no longer shop at ABC. Bought a tv from them in march 2016 and the tv quit working in may 2016.I contacted them about it and all they said was not there problem call the manufacture .. The people of ABC could careless ..Very unhappy about this .yes it is covered by warranty if I pay for shipping to California $220 which is half of the cost of the TV.
