I managed to limp the car off an exit ramp leading to the Belt Line. Fortunately, I managed to get my car out of the way of other people who were exiting. But, it was clear to me that I needed a tow truck. I have AAA. And I called AAA. But, all it did was to lead me through a series of frustrating prompts to a website that didn't take my information. It kept showing that there was an error of some kind. I tried this five or six times and gave up. Finally, I checked Yelp to see if I could find a nearby towing service. The first business that came up was Road Warrior Roadside Service. I called. Nate answered. And he was there shortly afterwards to take care of everything! Nate took me and my car to an auto repair shop close to my house. I left a key drop for the mechanics there who I know will be working on it soon. We do not recommend this Towing company to anyone, especially someone who needs help with a flat…read moretire. My daughter had a flat back in June and Rockford Towing came out to fix the flat for her. When the tech put the new tire on, they did not make sure it was flush with the hub. It was screwed on, but not properly. A few days later my daughter was driving on the highway and the tire came loose and completely fell off while she was driving. She could have been seriously injured or even worse. We took the tire that fell off to 3 tire experts. All three after inspecting the tire verified the rim was shredded on the inside indicating it was not torqued properly and flush with the hub. One expert said it's just a simple extra step that Rockford Towing did not take. What angers us even more is that Rockford Towing took zero responsibility for this. In fact they blamed it on my daughter that she probably "hit something" in the road and so the tire fell off or she may have road on rumble strips for miles and it came loose. These two excuses are absurd. The tire came off because it was not installed correctly, plain and simple. Rockford towing refused to copeortae after multiple attempts on our part to ask them to. They ignored phone calls, lied about the owner being out of town, never called back after tons of messages and when the owner finally did talk to us he took no repsonsibilty. So, we reported them to AAA. We provided overwhelming proof this was Rockford Towing and AAA agreed. Our next step is to report Rockford Towing to the BBB. We understand that mistakes can happen, but this was a big mistake. My daughter could have been killed. We dont want this to happen to anyone else. And the fact Rockford Towing just ran and hid does not make them a very reputable company in our honest opinion.
