If paying cash, you have to order then go to checkout line and pay and then go back to deli counter with receipt to pick up order. I didn't know this and had to go to the checkout line after waiting for 10 mins at the deli line. This is for ABC store #47 on Honoapiilani road. The Deli is fabulous. Best deal on the island. Prime rib days 8 ounce with large serving of mash potatoes for $19. Poke bowl has a generous half pound of fish and was delicious. Breakfast is good too. When you're on the island on a budget, this place is a great option. The best out of all the ABC stores we visited in terms of food! My daughter saw the katsu masubi and wanted to try it, we all wanted to try it! We ended up loading up on food to take back to our room at the resort. We got 4 katsu masubi, a tray of shrimp cocktail, 2 orders of pancit noodles that came with soup, mandarin chicken salad, ube cheesecake, payayas, and bananas. The food were all delicious, and our favorite was the katsu masubi. We liked it so much that we stopped by to grab more on our last day so we would have something to munch on during our flight home. One regret was we didn't get more! The ube cheesecake was decadent. Surprisingly, it was not overly sweet, which was great! The papayas were sweet as expected, but what surprised me was how sweet the bananas were! They have a different taste than the bananas sold on the mainland. Definitely better than any organic bananas I've ever tasted! This ABC store doesn't have the largest selection of gifts, but it more than made up for it in the food category! As with all of the other ABC Stores, if you spend $100, you get a free gift. The receipts can be combined with other ABC Stores as long as they were not previously stamped. read more

Seems a little racist against white women. I came there at 10 minutes to when the grill was closing and they were about to serve me but when they looked up and seen that I was white it's like they changed their mind. EDIT TO REVIEW - Changing review from 1 star to 4 because of the way ABC handled my complaint. A SHOUT OUT TO ABC STORES BECAUSE THEY DO ACTUALLY CARE! I wrote the original review, (below) and was contacted the next day by customer service. They did their very best to make things right. ABC Customer Service put me in touch with the manager of this store, Cary. Cary refunded us and made things right as best he could. It was obvious that all employees were on their toes when he was present. When we returned to the store we were greeted several times with Aloha. Everyone was very nice that second visit. I stand by my original review regarding everything that occurred but I have to say ABC impressed me because they actually cared! And so.... we "might" try the food from the deli again. But before doing so I think I'll stand back and watch others served and see if the employee has a chip on their shoulder before I order, I never want a repeat of my experience below. We shop at this store every time we visit Maui. Original Review: This is a great spot for quick food, t-shirts and gifts. However, tonight we had a less than desirable experience. We thought we would try the prime rib dinners. We were going to have two individual dinners but when we were asked mashed potatoes or rice and then red potatoes or macaroni salad as only choices we had to double think that. Our plan was to take the dinner back to our condo and cook some green vegetables to make this an actual meal. The server was already a bit rude but repeated back to me what I ordered and I confirmed so I know she heard me correctly. At this point I went to the register to pay for the meal, we received it and left. As we were walking out my husband told me that he didn't want to make a scene but that she had gone out of her way to give us extra fat, really??? He further explained that she weighed the meat and it was a little over so she took some of the actual meat off but made a point of serving us an extra slab of fat which she tucked under the slice of beef. He is much too nice - if I would have seen this I would have said something. We went back to our condo, opened the box and found that she had deliberately given us mashed potatoes and red potatoes -- not what I had asked for. This person went out of her way it seemed to give us extra fat and not the sides we requested. She seemed to have a chip on her shoulder, kind of like we were tourists and needed to go home. With an attitude like this I don't know how this person keeps her job. We treated her with nothing but respect. i won't order food there again. I wish she had a name tag on because I'd love to provide it. In fact, I'm sure I'll be going in that store again and if she's there I will look for a name tag, come back and edit this review to include it. read more

This review is strictly just for the deli at this location. Wow what a great find. First ABC with a Real Chef and menu. I been to most of the ABC on all the islands and by far this deli serves the best brunch items. Haven't try lunch or dinner yet. We came by to pick up a quick bite to head out for a hike. We ended up getting big O purple Ube Pancakes, Cornbeef Hash, Bacon and Beef Bowl. The food was Awesome, the ube pancakes and Ube syrup was delicious. Corn-beef Hash and the eggs were cooked to perfection. Everything we ate was delicious! You can tell the chef takes pride in their work. My kids love the ABC stores. What is there not to like about it? I mean they sell everything you may need for your Hawai'i trip! Great stop to shop for souvenirs, clothes, sandals, purses, toys, food, snacks, and so much more. Even get gas on your way out. They also have a kitchen where hot local foods are offered for you to order. I had the Loco Moco which was so tasty. Very authentic Hawaiian style. Kids enjoyed their personal size pizzas and chicken tenders. Good portions for the price! Absolutely love their prices on alcohol selection! Always excellent deals when Mama is in need of shots or drinks! Save all of your receipts because depending on how much you spend, they give you free gifts! Reason why we love it so much! ABC stores are only available in Hawaii, Las Vegas, Guam, and Mariana Islands. Every single time we come across the store, our eyes suddenly wide opened with jaws dropped overly excited with joy. My review is mostly about the deli, although I did buy a few other items from the store. For the record, the delis in ABC Stores are called Island Deli (at least on Maui). If you are interested in the deli, there are also reviews under Island Deli. Before this trip, I'd only been to the deli in the Kapalua store. The location I'm writing about has a gas station (Kapalua doesn't) and not a ton of parking spaces, but it seemed to be fine because people came and went quickly. There is a lanai out front, with physically-distanced tables, but it doesn't seem to be used much. A lot of people eat at the Kapalua location, which is not a surprise given the beauty of the setting. Here, you get to stare at the front of the store, the walls of the stores next door, the parking lot, or the gas pumps / highway, depending upon the orientation of your chair. Not exactly appealing, but I appreciated the presence of an eating area. Too bad the trash can was overflowing and the tables hadn't been wiped in awhile. My guess is they were short-staffed. Each Island Deli appears to have the same menu and daily specials. I was drooling at the thought of prime rib, which is offered several times per week. I asked for toss salad instead of mashed potatoes. No other vegetables were available. My request seemed to confuse the gentleman who took my order, so one of the aunties who was also working there took over. My goodness I ended up with so much romaine that I think she must have chopped up an entire head. I got the double-cut of meat, which I couldn't finish then but had later. (I haven't yet adjusted to the fact that my stomach has shrunk so I can't eat as much as before.) You can get au jus but beware that you'll be charged extra. Problem is, the heat lamp wasn't too good, so the meat was warmish at best and cooled rapidly. Just a few minutes after purchase, the fat in the meat was beginning to congeal and started to taste disgusting. I could cut away the larger bits of fat, but that didn't work for where the meat was marbled. I bought some blueberries, which were fresh and surprisingly competitively priced. (Not so with the strawberries, where a pound was priced considerably higher than in a grocery store.) The beef jerky prices were also right in line with prices that you'd get even at a discount store. read more

Well, let me start by saying that I have been to several ABC stores throughout the state of Hawaii and this location near our timeshare on Maui is by far the best one we have visited. It is very clean, organized, stocked with great product for both tourists and locals, and the parking is even pretty good. The pricing is about average for what you would expect on Maui and they quality of some of the items are awesome. One example of the quality of products are the board shorts they sell. I was really impressed with the quality and the price was not bad either. The wife and I always visit here when we are on the island and I don't see that changing in the foreseeable future. Ok this is literally the best one stop shop in Maui. Close enough to walk to from my hotel. They have everything from souvenirs, clothes, coffee, jewelry and delicious food. They have spam mask I, a fresh made to order deli. Daily specials. For breakfast we ordered the Egg Sandwich with Potatoes and the Ube pancakes boy do you get a ton of food and it tastes amazing. The food here is great. There are tables and chairs to eat outside. Also a gas station. Gas prices here still cheaper then California price per gallon. read more

I love ABC Stores! It's your upgraded 7Eleven, I say this because they have all your convenience items but this location and other ABC locations have homestyle comfort food as well. We stopped at this location a multitude of times. We came here for snacks, souvenirs, alcohol, etc. Yeah, the Maui Brewing six pack was probably double the price but it was convenient! They also had great prices on some of their souvenirs that were less than even WalMart! This location had some dinners like prime rib( we didn't try), and lots of other comfort foods. If you're health conscious, they had a number of fresh made salads and sandwiches also. Plus, they have outdoor seating in case you want to sit somewhere besides your car and you're too hungry to drive to a park. read more

Some of the employees at this location are *extremely* rude and the vibe was off-putting. My mother innocently asked one of them if they carried pore strips. She said "no" to my mother's face, then turned to another employee, spoke in another language but obviously saying "pore strips" in the sentence, leaving the other employee smirking and eyeing us down. It was disgusting behavior, and when asked about the situation by my mother, she stated "no ma'am, we were discussing with each other how to serve you better, as we had just been briefed on customer service recently." A joke of a lie trying to cover up their obvious bilingual sh**-talking. Should have asked for their names, but if you're going to work in a tourist attraction and obviously talk sh** about tourists, you should rethink your decisions. The experience at this store in particular will only be good if you never have to ask the employees about anything -- we had far better experiences in Whalers Village and would quite literally make the drive for the more positive energy. read more

Pretty amazing that this ABC has a deli and offers prepared foods. A friend suggested we check it out and mentioned that Sundays & Thursdays were prime rib night special. Well, we had to check it out and it was surprisingly good. Got a nice 8 oz. thick slab (medium rare) with a container of au jus and horseradish sauces, mashed potatoes & mixed veggies. I thought it was a good deal for $13.99. We also ordered the butter garlic shrimp (very garlicky)($11.99) and supreme loco moco ($7.99) and none of it was a disappointment. We were shocked at how good it tasted. It is definitely worth a try...don't go and expect it to taste like something from a high end steakhouse, just know that it has good flavor and satisfying. They also serve boba tea, something hard to find on this side of the island. The tea I thought tasted good, but still too sweet with 50% sugar, wish they could adjust it to 25%. However, the texture of the honey boba was very mushy and not firm as it should be. read more
