I love to shop at Nahina! Everytime I'm near one I'll always make it a point to stop in. They have many cute adorable clothes! I recently went here the last time I was at Whalers Village which was yesterday! It seems I'm in Kaanapali once a month! Even though I live on the other side of the Island about an hours plus drive! I love coming here because not only do they have cute clothing that is my age appealing but they have kind and friendly service. They also have nice jewelry! The workers are nice. I loved this boutique for unique clothes and something that feels more local in exchange for the typical touristy style fabrics you might see in the area. The staff were incredibly friendly and helped me pick out the perfect casual dinner dress. This was our first visit to a Mahina store. I've walked past the one in Kahala Mall, but never went in. What drew me and my daughter in was the sale rack outside. We found three pieces to try on and the salesgirl was really nice and friendly and started a room for us. I found two more pieces inside and the prices were not as bad as I thought they would be. This encouraged me to visit the other store nearby at Whalers Village a couple of days later, but the vibe wasn't the same. No one greeted us in the store or asked us if we had any questions, basically ignored us the entire time we were in the store. Like another reviewer mentioned, the Lahaina location is the friendliest and has a nice selection. I can't wait to visit the Kahala location when I get home. read more

I rode the bus here from our resort (awesome option by the way! $4 round trip, vs a $70ish R/T Uber!) It was super simple and clean!! Took me right to Cannery Mall, and this boutique is pretty much right across the street! I was a little stressed when I went in. Was looking for a simple dress for family beach photos, and this was the one day my husband let me ditch the family at the pool for shopping! Didn't think this stuff was quite my style (I never dress up really), but pulled every feasible option in my size from the racks, figuring I HAD to find something, even if just for pics. To my surprise, I ended up leaving with not one, but FIVE dresses! They are all amazing, and I can wear any one of the for my beach photos, or anywhere else! Also found some lingerie accessories that I forgot to consider when packing! Wouldn't have been possible (or such a great experience) without the ladies working! I visited the Mahina store located in the Whaler Mall on 9/5/2022. They do carry some cute clothing so I decide to check it out. When I walked in the sales person was busy singer and didn't acknowledge that we (another customer and I) were in the store looking through the clothing. She continued singing loudly and doing her own thing. There was no customer service at all...very disappointing because I would have bought something. read more

I discovered Mahina an hour after moving to Maui. I've been a loyal shopper and the store in Lahaina is one of the first stops I take visitors. However, my experience hasn't been great at all locations. Kihei: the selection is small because the store is small. I did find that the customer service wasn't incredible, I almost felt as if I was annoying the workers. However, after killing with kindness I did feel that they warmed up to me. Wailea: this was not only my worse experience at a Mahina store but at any store overall. The girl behind the counter was beyond rude. I had purchased a dress at another store and ruined it the night before so I was going around to the different locations to track down another. I told her the story and asked if they had it in a small. She said no and went back behind the counter....then I noticed the dress I was looking for behind the counter in my size and when I asked her she seemed annoyed and proceeded to ring me up. But that wasn't my only experience with this girl as I had previous negative encounters with her at that store. Lahaina: this is my favorite location. The girls are always so nice and helpful. I've always been greeted and assisted immediately. I do find that I spend more money at this location because of the excellent service and the selection is consistently good. The earring selection is amazing, I always leave with at least one pair. Paia: this is the busiest of the stores, that I noticed. And it is much larger. I don't think the service is poor, you can just tell that they are busy. I've learned it's the hardest location if you need a size small! Don't get me wrong, this store is great. My experiences have just led me to focus on the location in Lahaina since that's where I receive the best customer service and selection. read more

I fell in love with this boutique when I first visited Maui and now that I live here I can't stop shopping at Mahina! For a boutique with the style of clothing they sell, the pricing is pretty affordable. They get new shipments in every week (I heard Tuesdays are usually when they receive new clothing) and they often sell out of the small sizes if you go later on in the week. I was shopping for a wedding I'm attending and adored this blue dress on the rack - but they only had it in large :( I bought the large but Amanda at the register offered to call the other shops (they have shops in Paia, Wailea, and Kihei as well) and helped place a hold for me. Amanda was so helpful, and most of the girls who work there usually are super nice and helpful too! They offer kama'aina discount too, always a perk :) read more

I am a long term customer of Mahina and recently went through a situation that made me more appreciative than ever. I bought a gift card at the store to give to a friend in her birthday. My friend lost the card and I decided to go back to store in the attempt of finding a solution. The manager heard me out and after some days she contacted me saying they were able to void the old gift card and place a new one for me. I know how hard that must have been and the time that must have taken because there wasn't any kind of code number linking my purchase to a specific gift card. I consider to be so important to go above and beyond for clients since that's exactly what I do whenever my clients have any issue, so I'm very happy with the customer service I received and just made me more loyal to this store. Of course on the top of all reasons it's their amazing selection of clothes and accessories, but a bad customer service would have made me look elsewhere! Thanks a lot!! read more

THERE ARE NO REFUNDS AT MAHINA!! STORE CREDIT ONLY!! So make sure you really love what you're buying. Once you hand over your $$ to them, it's gone. They basically said it's my fault because their policy is written on the receipt. With all due respect, the least they could've done is notify their customers prior to us making a purchase. My guess is most of their customers are tourists like myself. Our focus is on fun, not some store's return policy. The girl at the counter said she told me about the return policy which is absolutely untrue. My sister was with me and neither of us recall her saying anything to that effect. I was iffy about the item I bought but figured no big deal. I can always return it and get a refund. One star for its shitty no refund policy and overall poor quality. It's basically Forever 21 clothing, except 2 to 3X the price. Shop somewhere else. read more

I love this little boutique in Maui. I come everytime I'm here on vacation and I've been here two times in the last 4 days.. in addition to stopping by once at the Paia location yesterday. Some might say I'm crazy..I prefer to call myself dedicated haha. Mahina has the cutest jewelry and clothes for reasonable prices. I've bought necklaces, dresses, and shirts from here and I haven't been disappointed yet. Some clothes are made of thinner fabric and may not be top notch material but you're not paying for designer labels. Everything is trendy and it's so hard not to buy everything in the store.
