This location tends to be quite active, and everything seems to be in good order. There is a nice selection of grab-and-go cold food items (no hot food here), and a large selection of cold drinks/adult libations. In addition, there's a small section of dry good groceries. It's on very corner in Waikiki and when you're tired of eating out at restaurants you can come here and grab a salad, poke or a sandwich to go ! This store helped make our vacation. It is just a general store. You will find liquor, gas station like food and general pharmacy items like Tylenol, lotion and other general over-the-counter products. they also have a few souvenirs and local candies. The store is rather compact, but the reason we gave it a five star is because it helped to make our vacation. Everywhere in Kanapali drinks are anywhere from $20-$30 and toothpaste is $10 for a travel sized tube. This location helped make it where you can get drinks that you might want to sip on during day for a reasonable price. We also gave it a five star review because it is walking distance from most major hotels in the area. I am all about dropping money and having a good time, but I like to do it when it is my decision and not something that is forced upon me. This store gave us a more economical option if one was wanted. read more

ABC stores cater to tourists. Part grocery store, part liquor store, part gift shop, part clothing store, if you need anything while away, they probably have it. We picked up some pre-made sandwiches for a picnic lunch. We passed on other things because the prices were a bit high. I did notice that cups of coffee from hot pots were inexpensive. The cashier was very friendly and informed us of the special promotion, spend a certain amount of money during your visit and get a free gift. Our sandwiches were are one and only purchase from ABC. ABC stores is a cool convenience store chain in Hawaii. This specific ABC store we found at Whalers Village on the island of Maui in Lahaina. We dropped by to purchase a couple of grocery items. They had what we were looking for albeit at a higher price than you would find at a grocery store. Hey, they are a convenience store so they should be more expensive. Browsed the shop a bit while Wifey shopped. The store was very busy. Business appeared good. The waiting time to be helped at the register was not too bad. I went to town at this ABC Store! I don't know how it happened, but I spent over $500 here! I fell into the Hello Kitty trap and filled up my shopping basket with HK plushies/keychains/tote bags and lots of Hawaiian dresses, sarongs, and beach towels! Most of what I wore during my trip consisted of a component from this store, mainly a different sarong to go with a bikini top for each day. This store had a very large selection of beautiful dresses and sarongs. I got an Aloha sun hat that I've been wanting and absolutely love it! I also purchased luau dresses for my daughter and me here. Out of all the ABC Stores that we visited (we went to quite a few), this one had the most selection of Sanrio products, so we spent over 2 hours here. I also picked up a bunch of local treats and snacks. If you're a Sanrio fan, you have to come to this ABC Store! read more

Generally, I like ABC Stores and always visit. At Whalers Village we stopped in for some water, two bottles, $6. No problem, cause we like ABC Stores. Then when leaving we asked to have our parking validated. "(All stores validate parking)". The gal said "No, you have to spend $15 dollars". This is ridiculous. ABC Stores do great business where ever they are. Does this store really need to be so petty? P.S. I have spent many hundreds of $$$ at ABC Stores over the years. Talk about ruining the Aloha vibe! I am staying right next door to Whaler's Village where this store is located. While making a meal I realized I needed a couple of eggs. I ran down to this store which is rather small but has sooo much stuff available. I was able to grab eggs and head back in a timely fashion. From food to alcohol to souvenirs, this store has whatever you are looking for in a convenient location. Be advised to bring your own shopping bags because they only provide reusable ones at the cost of 20 cents each. read more

Enjoyed this ABC store, located conveniently in the shopping plaza right next to Safeway. I came here wanting to buy the spam masubi for breakfast! They had a wide assortment, including regular spam masubi, Portuguese sausage with egg and furikake, and another one with just Portuguese sausage. They also had 1 loco moco ready to go too, all hot located conveniently next to the cash register! Service was very friendly here, and helpful. I also thought they were well staffed with 2 cashiers. There was a long line, but it went very quickly despite customers buying things for what seemed like Christmas presents for their entire family. The ambiance of the store itself seemed really new, like it was built not too long ago. All shelves were tidy, a positive shopping experience. A great ABC store!!! read more

They always greet you when you enter and thank you when you go. The best place to stop and grab that ONE thing you need and get on your way, or buy a bunch of stuff! Some things you might not want to buy there...I went to get a one gallon bottle of Crystal Geyser Water. In Sacramento, CA, that would be $1.25. In Safeway, its $3.59. In ABC next door to Safeway its $5.99 But it's a GREAT STORE nonetheless. I did see a few things that were a little more expensive than what we paid for at Walmart but other than that, they had a lot souvenirs, food, and baked goods... even had beer. My kids went crazy so our bill was a little over $300 but we got a lot of stuff. Staff was very friendly and even had us laughing while ringing up our things. Single can options make a great alternate for beach goers. I think we stopped here with every beach visit for the souvenirs, replacement sunglasses, beach snacks and quite a bit more. ABC carries things like hand sanitizer, toothbrushes, alcohol, towels, fresh fruit, deli meat, sunscreen, and various other sundry things you might need or have forgotten to pack for your vacation. There are also toiletries items for anything you may have forgotten at home. There are also food, grocery items, and alcohol as well. In fact, the cheapest to-go meal you can get at Whalers Village will be from ABC Store. The spam musubi are cheap and tasty at $1.99 each. This store also has a few other hot food items to choose from too. Keep an eye out for the half-priced food items towards the end of the night. ABC... It's easy as 1 2 3... If you are staying in one of the hotels along Ka'anapali beach ABC is a good place to get small souvenirs or to get any convenience store items. The selection is pretty varied and they have food, drinks, keychains, shirts, jewelry, magnets, etc. They also have a pretty good selection of sunblock and aloe. When you check out you'll get a Gold Card which you can redeem after a certain amount of purchases but you do have to keep all your receipts to be able to use the card to get your free gift. read more
