We liked the beer so much we even took a growler home ($18). We liked the saison best, but the porter was also nice. Pumpkin beer was not my favorite, but it never is... Only down side was that there were no prices posted or on the menu (one of my pet peeves). But dogs are also welcome inside, which puts them back in the 5 star territory (and they have a bathroom unlike the Ten O Six restaurant at the other end of the strip owned by the same people).

Boy, am I glad i did!!!!! It was actually quite adorable and inviting inside. Our host, Duncan and his wife, were so friendly!!!! For most of my visit.....I was the only one in the winery. He stood with me and gave me a story about each of the wines. I did a tasting....which included 6 wines and a souvenir wine glass. The wine soooo good!!!! I am typically a white wine gal....but I even tried a few reds here and they were delish!!!! I left with three bottles to bring home to share with my friends!!!!!! I 100% recommend visiting the OBX Winery when in the area!!!!! When back in the area.....I will DEFINITELY be back!!!!!

Got the French dip and it might be the best sandwich I've had on the whole trip -- the bread actually holds up to the dip instead of turning into mush halfway through, and the meat was piled high, not the sad three slices you get at some of these tourist spots charging beach prices. Staff was genuinely friendly, not the "I'm stuck here for the summer" kind of friendly, actual nice. Grabbed a bottle of wine to bring back to the rental too and the guy behind the counter actually knew what he was talking about instead of just pointing at the shelf. Little pricey but so is everything else in Corolla, and this one's actually worth it. Already told our neighbors at the rental to go check it out. Will be back next time we're on the OBX.

Prices are all the same, wherever you go in North Carolina. I ended up buying a nice little amaretto set for less than $20 and it was a nice gift for myself. The trucks come regularly and the staff is friendly.
