He looked around and dug a few holes (by hand), and said everything was in working order, gave us a report, and left without opening the tank or pumping it. He charged $225 for this "inspection". We lost the sale of our house because of it. We ended up having to call a second septic service, who actually found the tank (in a different place than Josh said it was) and opened it. It turns out we had roots causing water to back up into the main line (I have a video of it), and we were past due for a pump. The second service was able to pump it, remove the roots, and clearly mark and document everything for our future buyers.
