I must give credit where credit is due. After my previous review, a principal of Maxwell Septic Mr. Austin Gunn called me to apologize and offered to make things right. We talked for a while on the phone and then he drove over to my house to look things over. After talking it through, he came to realize that the employee that I had dealt with had gone rogue and had actually stolen part of the cash I had paid him. Having been in business for myself for many years I understood this situation. As an owner it is difficult to know exactly what an employee is up to out in the field. The employee is now gone. Austin wished to come back and place a riser on one end of the tank. (I had already placed one riser). With two risers I will never have to dig up the tank again. Also, since the employee had padded the price a bit, Austin wanted to refund that padded amount to me. I have owned many businesses over the years and have spent many hours coaching employees on how to handle a situation gone wrong. Mr. Austin Gunn did exactly what I would have counseled my employees to do. The conclusion is that he and I came to an agreement which was, I believe, fair and equitable for us both. As far as how many stars to give... I can't simply pretend that the problem didn't arise, yet when made aware, Austin stepped to the plate and hit it out out of the park. I understand that things sometimes go wrong... that's a given. More important to me, however, is what happens after the fact. So, Thank you Austin! Given today's definition of customer service, I am happy to know that Maxwell Septic Pumping believes in old fashioned and "Real Customer Service". Thanks again Austin. And... 5-stars. As someone who had ongoing septic issues, I had dealt with many septic companies. None of which provided clear guidance or much of a plan of action - much less ever follow through to start the process of solving my issues. The Maxwell folks changed all of that and were a breath of fresh air (pun intended). Maxwell was by far the most competent and organized of all of the septic companies I dealt with. For emergency pumping, they were 'johnny on the spot'. For the broader repair, they performed competent diagnosis and developed a plan of action and a schedule to complete it. Then (most importantly), followed through with both the plan and the schedule. At all times, they were punctual and professional. This is the second time we have used Maxwell Septic Pumping and again, we were very impressed with how quickly they were able to respond. We had recently discovered that our cleaning service had been flushing scrubbing pads down our toilets which would inevitably cause major issues down the road. Within an hour of requesting a pumping of our system on their website, their receptionist contacted us and had us scheduled for the very next morning. The service technician, James, arrived on time and was very receptive to the situation. He located several of those scrub pads and took photographs for us so we could show the cleaning service we used. Initially came to pump our septic tank in September in conjunction with plumbers who replaced our effluent pump. When pump was not pumping out the sewage, Greg made appointment to return on Oct. 12 to repair field lines which were presumed to be blocked. Greg and his helper arrived early on Oct. 12, and started in of field lines, and found no blockage as expected, so they checked back at the effluent tank and found defective check valve which had been incorrectly installed outside the tank, and missed by the plumbers who installed the pump. They replaced the check valve inside the tank where it should have been in the first place. They completed the work with minimal digging and were finished before noon. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

She verified the appointment the day before, and Greg called me on his way to my house. He was on time and courteous. Greg was also very professional, he educated me on my septic tank health, gave me recommendations, and even dug the ground up to get to the tanks access hatch. I called Maxwell Septic Service last week and was pleasantly surprised to hear they could come the same day. James, the employee, called ahead of time and told me when he would be there and arrived just as he said. He was so courteous and polite and even offered to help me fill in the opening. I told him I could handle it but was pleased that he mentioned it. He was also going to go just down the street to my son's home and once finished, he drove back past my place and honked and waved. This is the second time Maxwell has pumped a tank for me this week RonDale came out and pumped my primary house He was on time and did a fantastic job . Even though he had to work around my RV that was in the way and left the property looking like he had never been there The Rodney came to a rental property and was also on time. He located the tank quickly as this is a new property to me. And explained the system since it pumps up to the back of the property. He also installed a riser. Our technician, Rodney, called us around 30 minutes before arriving to let us know he was on the way. He showed up on time, and got right to work. We didn't know exactly where our tank was located, and after probing around for a good 15-20 minutes we decided to use the tracking device. Well worth it, because it allowed him to locate it accurately and immediately. He only had to dig around a 2 x 2' hole to pop the lid off, pump it out, replace lid and cover it back up. Our yard isn't torn up, and while the service emptied our septic tank, it did not empty our wallets! We highly recommend Maxwell Septic and Rodney. read more

Johnny and James called before arriving at the scheduled time. They worked quickly and were very effective in fixing my gurgling toilet. I was so glad their rapid response prevented any sewage flowing into our home. They also texted and called to make sure we were happy and answer any questions. The enzymes they sell and super inexpensive, and I don't have to remember to pick up RidX at the store. A years worth is in one container. I needed a non-urgent septic inspection and pump-out. Three hours after I called it in, Dylan arrived and took care of everything. Great communication before and during, answered questions and was professional in every way. Dylan was a great company representative!! Now, Maxwell is not the least expensive service, but they let you know the costs and up-charges in advance. It would be impossible to say enough nice things about Maxwell Septic. They are courteous, professional, and very efficient--Michelle and Greg were the two employees who helped me, and both were wonderful. They took time to answer all of my questions (of which there were many because I had no idea about anything septic-related), and did so in a way that was both kind and patient. We have used Maxwell three times. One time to add risers and twice to check and pump our system. They have always been super reliable with great communication. The technicians are knowledgeable and take pride in their work. Adding the risers included a lot of dig out and re-sloping and the technician took his time, and left the job site clean. Comparatively, their cost is at or slightly below other companies. Really appreciate having a reliable and professional septic service that comes up up north to our farm. read more

At six this morning our septic tank alarm went off. I called Maxwell Septic around 7:30 and they were able to work us into today's schedule. At eleven David arrived as promised. He drained both tanks and tested the pump. Found that it had at last given out. A new pump is order and a crew will be out Thursday noontime to install it.
