I was told there was a small hole in my vent hose that could be replaced ($60 for a $20 hose + install fee) or likely small enough that it could be covered with aluminum tape. Well since they didn't reconnect the hose to the dryer and were sloppy (possible out of not getting the egregious upsell) in covering the hole on the unconnected hose, my entire laundry closet was soaking wet the next time I used the dryer from all of the heat being released in the closet. I booked an appointment with Dryer Vent Tech. They told me they had an opening in the 12:00 to 4:00 window the same day, and that a technician could be at my house in the next hour. I booked the appointment, and I left work early to meet the technician. Because it was an emergency situation, I had a different appointment booked for the following day with another company so I called them to cancel that. I gave the company I cancelled on 24 hours notice which is a courtesy that is foreign to Dryer Vent Tech. A little over an hour after confirming my appointment, after I had left work and gotten home, they called to cancel and would not provide me with another technician until two days later. We knew the vent was clogged as our dryer was no longer working. We didn't trust the company who installed the new vent to clean it, so we contacted Dryer Vent Tech and Justin and his helper were excellent! Justin discovered the company that installed the new vent just a few years earlier left a screen on the cover; talk about fire hazard! Justin removed the screen, cleaned and inspected the vent. I highly recommend Dryer Vent Tech. My son just bought a house in Nashville and I have been helping him move. His dryer vent had no cover and I noticed birds going in it. Coming from a second floor laundry room we did not have a ladder high enough to reach it and replace the cover. I contacted Dryer Vent Tech and they were available to come in a few days. John and his assistant showed up during the appointment time and contacted me when they were on the way. They were professional and friendly. They inspected the vent and did not find any nests or lint build up which saved me money on a vent cleaning. They replaced the vent cover with a galvanized steel cover that has a magnetic flap which keeps birds out and opens when the dryer is on. It has no screen to cause lint build up. So much better than the plastic ones and worth the money. John did a great job installing it making sure it was straight and caulking around it. First and foremost Jacob M, is a complete professional and runs his business with the utmost integrity. I located Dryer Vent Tech Nashville through Google and Yelp reviews which lead to my call for the service. My call was answered on the first attempt and I had an appointment setup for a 7:00 AM service instantly. I received a text from Jacob about 45 minutes before his arrival and he was right on time. Jacob did an immediate inspection of the dryer vent in a laundry room and outside at the exit vent. He then turned on the dryer and put a mile per hour meter on the air flow at the outside exit vent. It showed an airflow rate of 7 mph and Jacob smiled and stated you are going to be pleased with the service results. 20 minutes later, 18 mph!!!
