Trying a new Leinenkugel flavor
Michelle D.

ABC Liquor has anything adult beverage wise you could possibly imagine. I know they carry everything because they have my Leinenkugel grapefruit Shandy! Right before hurricane Irma hit ABC emailed a coupon for $10 off a $50 purchase. I had not been to ABC in a while but this prompted me to go. Don't forget to sign up for their rewards program. It does pay off. In addition to the Leinenkugel grapefruit Shandy I also picked up there 12 pack Leinenkugel Shandy mix. This included orange, pomegranate, grapefruit, and lemon berry Shandy. They also sell cigars, cups, glasses, wine and liquor. The staff are always very helpful if you're unable to find what you're looking for ask someone. And they will carry your order out to your car if you need help. If ABC doesn't carry it you don't need it LOL.

ABC always seems empty when I walk in. As soon as I turn to go to the register there's a flood of people? Way to many items seems to be located behind the register instead of on the floor. And for some reason only the back wall is labeled. So I was doing donuts trying to find the rum section. But couldn't go to a beach party empty handed. All the clerks are old. Like Golden Girls old but not as funny. So I'm a little hurt when the lady that resembled Sophia (my favorite) lied to us and said that blue crap was gonna be good with Cognac.

Well, stocked always friendly. Plenty of help they never have a long line. But I sure do miss the drive-through.

Great selection and the staff really knew their bourbon lingo. They have a few store picks that are great and reasonably priced.

I finally made it to Ink Factory Brewing, a ten minute walk from Jax Beach. I've been eyeing this…read moreplace for a while.  I usually spend a good amount of time in coffee shops working on my laptop, and I'll admit I almost skipped this place based on the google photos, because it looked like it might have limited seating and no power outlets. While I wouldn't call this a go-to "work from a coffee shop all day" sort of spot. After asking around I found out this place has two floors the top floor has a space for daily office rentals. I am here on a Saturday and had no problem finding a place to work from on the first floor.  I asked Katie who was walking by and was super helpful about why it is called Ink Factory Brewing. This place used to be where Void Magazine was written and published hence "Ink Factory".  I was pleasantly surprised. The space is large enough that I found a quiet corner and even managed to snag a power outlet. The staff didn't seem bothered at all by me settling in with my laptop. That said, Ink Factory feels more like a place to hang out try the coffee, grab some food, maybe have a beer rather than a dedicated work spot. The space immediately gives off a relaxed beach vibe white walls, local artwork, surfboards, and beach apparel everywhere. It feels equal parts coffee shop, hangout spot, and beach town brewery. My coffee was spot on. Emily was awesome and helped me build a custom drink: an iced coffee with a shot of espresso, mocha syrup, topped with cold foam. Not only did it taste great, but she made it look so good that people sitting at the bar asked what I ordered. This kind of care and presentation really stood out.  If they're really busy, finding an outlet could be tough. Parking is also a bit limited for such a large space, but that's pretty typical for the beach area. Not the place I'd camp out every weekday, but definitely somewhere I'd come back to.

I'll definitely come back another day to try some coffee and matcha. As soon as I walked in I felt like I was transported to vacation beach spot in Key West. They have a couple rooms off to the right as you walk in. In one room they sale clothing a freaking vinyl records. In the room right next that one they have more seating and a couple of games and seating area. The vibe was super fresh and super surfy. I walked in and as I was looking at the coffee bar the bartender eventually came over to tell that the coffee bar was closed. He did offer me some Cold Brew! I'll definitely BE BACK.

WELL, we found a great place that ticked most of those boxes, just a different view than sun and sand but that was OK! The drinks were very tasty, a mango slushy and a citrusy sour. Our "snack" was a great wood fired oven pizza called Burrata Diavola. Great vibes, great music. Fun time!!

This is probably the best pizza I've had in a very long time!…read more Reve Brewing is located in a strip mall right off Mayport Rd, just a couple minute off the naval base. The brewery has a really cool vibe to it, and they also have plenty of TVs where they were playing sports. I know they are a brewery and probably really good at it, but I came here for the pizza. Their selection is small but mighty. When we asked the staff what he recommended, he said all of them (not making it easy buddy). Since they are on the smaller size, we decided to get three and planning to take home some leftovers. My favorite by far was the Pancetta Garlic pizza. At the beginning I was a little overwhelmed by the amount of garlic, but damn was I wrong. The garlic was cooked to perfection and literally melted in your mouth. I don't think I've ever seen a similar pizza anywhere else, and made it even more surprising. Frankly the other two we had were also very delicious, but I truly give it the top spot to the prosciutto garlic. Last but not least, I like that they had THC on the menu. As someone who no longer drinks alcohol, it is nice to see other options available on the menu.

I forget the gentleman's name, but the waiter/bartender was friendly and provided great recommendations. I had the bison-wagyu burger and their seasoned fries, then washed the meal down with the bourbon smash. The burger and fries were excellent, and the tab was very reasonable (~$40 for everything.) The only drag is the rooftop wasn't open, so couldn't enjoy the weather. I'll have to return so I can check that out!

Offer various options with their own beer and alcohol. Pretty empty when we went on a weekday night, food came out quickly. Fried pickles and jalapenos app- good, smaller chunks though and quite pricey at $15. Broiled oysters very good, but somewhat heavy on the breading. Power bowl- great combination of flavors and textures. Fish was cooked slightly less than the medium well asked for, but still super yummy. Smash burger, Grilled chx sandwich, wedge salad- good and flavorful. Fish and chips- ok. Fish was pretty overdone. Consensus on fries were a negative on flavor- somewhat bitter. Overall a good experience, great vibe, Will be back to try other items.

Since it was a Tuesday morning, it was pretty quiet in the area and we had a private class with Chris. Chris was very thorough, starting with candle and fire safety. He took his time showing my daughter the process, from pouring, mixing, balancing the smells and everything in between. He knew a lot about scents and what goes well together. The shop itself was really nice and tidy. Bonus points on the "secret" room that had some gaming stuff like pool table, mini arcade area and some board games. I say secret because the connecting door is hidden as one of the shelves. He let us take our time in the room that is actually an adjoining room to his shop that has its own entrance/exit door. We could have also bought food from next door and the shop offers drinks. They have different events every month.
