Tucked away on the first floor of the Fountain Square plaza, we enjoyed the friendly clientele and the reasonably priced wine and beer. House wines for only $6 per glass, but we noticed a few couples purchasing bottles to save a few bucks. They are off to a good start! Just the Sampler was all fried (which we knew) and was served with no plastic cutlery and only one napkin for 2 people, no salt and pepper until requested. The cold cheese dip was good but could have been warmed and more plentiful. Maybe a salsa side would have worked too. Ranch, anyone? Everything was nicely cooked and served hot. The beef empanada was seasoned really nicely and the filling seemed to have peppers and onions. The chicken one seemed to be all breast meat as the filling. Better than all fillers, but some more seasoning would have been good. The yucca fries were nicely done and there were 3 types. One was a cheese bite that could have been crispier but had a nice flavor. We will come back, probably when the patio opens and the menu expands. After all, what is a speakeasy without a highball?

But they do have high tops and bar seating available. They have a few games that you can borrow while you're there stacked along the windows and on a shelf. The drink menu is available by QR code, or you can look up at the screen on the far wall. I would recommend trying a flight if you're debating between a few options.
