This place has a nice vibe and the owners are really dedicated from what I could see. They are opening a patio with a larger menu and getting a liquor license, hopefully by summer. Tucked away on the first floor of the Fountain Square plaza, we enjoyed the friendly clientele and the reasonably priced wine and beer. House wines for only $6 per glass, but we noticed a few couples purchasing bottles to save a few bucks. They are off to a good start! Just the Sampler was all fried (which we knew) and was served with no plastic cutlery and only one napkin for 2 people, no salt and pepper until requested. The cold cheese dip was good but could have been warmed and more plentiful. Maybe a salsa side would have worked too. Ranch, anyone? Everything was nicely cooked and served hot. The beef empanada was seasoned really nicely and the filling seemed to have peppers and onions. The chicken one seemed to be all breast meat as the filling. Better than all fillers, but some more seasoning would have been good. The yucca fries were nicely done and there were 3 types. One was a cheese bite that could have been crispier but had a nice flavor. We will come back, probably when the patio opens and the menu expands. After all, what is a speakeasy without a highball?

We immediately fell in love with the name of it and decided this was where we were going to try. It was a little bit awkward to find since it's kind of tucked into another building. But once you were inside it was very intimate and cozy. There is limited seating so during busy times I could see how you might have to wait for a little bit. But they do have high tops and bar seating available. They have a few games that you can borrow while you're there stacked along the windows and on a shelf. The drink menu is available by QR code, or you can look up at the screen on the far wall. I would recommend trying a flight if you're debating between a few options. That's a great way to try a few things without settling on a large glass of something you may not fall in love with. Overall: A+ When we're back in the area we'll definitely stop in here again. Be sure to try a flight so you can experience multiple different flavors. Give one of the fun games ago to keep yourselves entertained.

Some heavier set guy with glasses had told us he needed to see all of our I.Ds at sale. Quite annoying when we obviously know where we are and seen the I.D policy sign. We finally got asked ARE WE SURE? Mind you everyone else was grabbing alcohol peacefully, others not like us?? So we literally left everything we had and decided to go support another liquor store that isn't up their ass about someone's skin color. I was totally taken back by the fact, particularly since it is located just down the street from the seedy, infamous, dive-y Shark Lounge. It's basically a beer bar, but more than that, an actual honest to goodness Irish beer bar with an unusually large, varied and well thought out selection of imported, domestic as well as custom crafter brews, some of which are available on tap. It also has a unique, laid back, ambiance with a typical Irish pub décor of heavy dark wood, giving it the true flavor of a real pub; which it is. Better yet, on certain evenings live entertainment is offered, however, it is the overall friendliness of the owner and staff that add to the magic as well as the enjoyment of the place.
