Prior to coming here, I had only ever seen opthamologists, and admittedly, I was not sure if I would have the same level of comfort & confidence in an optometrist...Dr. Kasper has been phenomenal! She is incredibly thorough (even more so than prior MDs I have seen) and explains everything in plain English, which I appreciate as a patient. My last visit, Dr. Kasper covered the costs associated with getting pictures taken of my optic nerve, explaining that pandemic-induced mask-wearing leads to fogging and imperfect views when trying to view the nerve via dilation through a foggy microscope lens. Knowing she cared enough to make sure she was getting the best view possible of my optic nerve was awesome. She even showed me the pictures and walked me through everything on the screen.... so cool! The opticians can be slightly pushy about purchasing contact lenses and/or glasses through them following an appointment, but in my experience, they have left me alone once I made it clear I was not there to shop that day :) I have not gotten any contacts or glasses through Optique yet, but they seem to have a pretty extensive selection (pricier end).

She's incredibly knowledgeable and patient with me. The staff is incredibly helpful and patient. It is downtown but that doesn't bother me. I grew up in a big city and Denver traffic is fine by me. I can't speak for others but I've had nothing but good things to say. The rest of my family come downtown now as well. I was in again yesterday for another check. My eyes are incredibly sensitive to changes that cause migraines and I have been dealing with them for the last 3 months because of issues. It's me, not the doctor but I wanted to be 100% before I got computer glasses. Dr. Petrilla was nothing but patient even though I had just been there. My dog made my glasses crooked and the progressive line idea too high. This should fix everything!!

As a grateful patient, I can't recommend it enough! When I went in for an eye exam most recently, I was greeted warmly by Rae who performed the first parts of the examination. I was able to snag a cancellation, so this appointment was sooner than my routine timing. I am deeply grateful that Dr Kat could see me, because she ended up discovering in my eye health something that required urgent attention that I would not have otherwise known until much later, when it potentially could have progressed into vision loss! The next part of my appointment was much more fun! Lara attentively helped me figure out which pairs of frames would best suit me for regular vision glasses, and prescription sunnies. The…read moreoptometrist, Chet, can't be bothered to have a simple conversation outside of a paid appointment. I was given false information about a follow up I requested over the phone. I was told that I could come in for a quick follow up less than 24 hours after an appointment (without having to pay for a separate exam) because I wanted to request a change / have a conversation with Chet. When I showed up I was told that I was given the wrong information over the phone, they would need to bill insurance, Chet is unavailable for a phone call or to talk for 2 seconds and that "it wasn't me you talked to" when I told them that I confirmed this over the phone. So, my time was wasted, everyone had a bad experience (except Chet, I guess) and all that's left is this lousy review. Go somewhere else.
