The tables lined the perimeter of our pool and the perfect depth for single seating, facing the pool and each other. They were pretty rough looking but not a big deal once you have your fabric tablecloths over them. For the seating we rented 36 white, wooden chairs with padding, last year. They looked great. This year, we rented the white vinyl folding chairs and they were nice (just a little dirty) but the padded ones were a better choice, imo. The delivery and communication were smooth and no problems. We would definitely recommend this company for party rentals!

However, what really sold me were two things: (1) the customer service of the staff and (2) the arcade's strive for innovation and progression in enhancing the VR experience. The staff where very kind and accommodating, even with our large party of 7. They did their best to provide a wide range of games for us to play. In addition, after our time was up, my friends and I got to beta test their first multiplayer VR backpacks. Imagine being able to physically move around and play with your friends in an open space - awesome, right? This is a but a glimpse of what Escape VR at Oxford, MI can provide to the public. I'm only in Michigan for vacation this weekend, but this visit was the most memorable. As an engineer, I appreciate their innovation and profession in VR, and I hope the next time I visit MIchigan, I get to see how much this place has grown.

However, it's located in a plaza where there are plenty of restaurants to dine in before or after you come. There is a nice, large waiting area where you can buy drinks when arrive or before you leave. They just explain how it all work before you enter the room and you're divided into 2 teams. You have a host and another person who helps with the games/computer stuff... Get here sooner than soon. You'll love it, especially if you have an outgoing personality. They could sing very well, and were super nice to the kids. They did the best to keep them engaged and participating. The tea party was marketed to be for 2 hours, from 5pm to 7pm. I was quite surprised to to hear the announcement at 6:24 (i checked) that the party was over. Not even an hour and a half of the promised time?? That's quite a disappointment. The short tea party time, with the "dinner " that should have been advertised as hors d'oeuvres was very disappointing. If I'd paid about half the price I wouldn't complain, but over $65 for what I got was way way too much. I'd not recommend this to anyone unless the price is slashed.

The party started with all the girls getting their hair done with a tiara and fairy dust . The girls were then sent to the large closet to pick out their gown they wanted to wear to the ballroom. My husband overheard that they have over 400 dresses! The girls were then announces into the "ballroom" and seated at the beautifully set table. The girls did some fun dances, twirled around, had a mini etiquette lesson, drank their lemonade " tea " and refreshments, and then had a fashion show with their dresses! The party ended with opening of the presents and some more dancing. Before the party ended, my daughter ran up to me and said she wanted a birthday party there. This is the perfect party for a girl who wants an intimate setting with just her friends. I wish there was one closer to my house. I will keep checking their website, they said they have an Easter bunny brunch and some summer camps. It is the perfect place for a mommy-daughter outing. I loved seeing how happy my daughter was!

I mentioned how familiar all the props seemed from when I used to visit a little magic shop in Ferndale in the 1970s owned by Romeg the Magician and then Poof! As if by magic they pointed to a photo behind the counter and told me that this store was in fact the second reincarnation of that very magical place from my childhood, transported to Clawson 40 years later. What an amazing coincidence that I should take my nephews to buy tricks at the same place that made me fall in love with prestidigitation all those years ago.
