I reached out to Jim through Yelp about rebuilding the water heater platform in my garage. He wrote…read moreback fast, and the honest answer was that it wasn't his to take -- a plumber has to pull the water heater first and set it back afterward, and he wasn't going to pretend otherwise just to get a job on the calendar. That could have been the end of it. Instead he stayed on with me. I'm a first-time homebuyer and I don't know much of anything about how houses actually work. I asked him a hundred questions that had nothing to do with drywall, and he answered every one of them -- patiently, in plain language, knowing full well I wasn't going to be a paying customer. He pointed out a few things I hadn't thought to look at. Not once did he make me feel small for not knowing. You could tell he wasn't doing it for the job. He was doing it because that's who he is, and because he could tell I was a little over my head. In my experience that's rare anywhere, and rarer in the trades, where it's easy to take advantage of someone who doesn't know what they're looking at. Jim did the opposite. I haven't hired him yet -- the work I needed just wasn't his scope. But the moment I have drywall to do, Peña Drywall is the only call I'm making, and I'll be sending people his way in the meantime. Thank you, Jim!

We were able to schedule the work quickly, which I really appreciated. The work was done in 3 days, new drywall, texturing, then priming and painting. Jim's team is friendly, professional, and very efficient at their work. I am very pleased with the repair and paint job. The cost of the work was very fair compared to a couple of other quotes I received from other companies.

Several other drywall repair services that I contacted thru Yelp didn't reply or ghosted me once I shared more details. Business must be great or perhaps my repair need was too small, and the other drywall services only want bigger ($$$$) jobs? At any rate, Ronnie got back to me right away, gave me straightforward quote, and had my bathroom looking like new within days of my original request for quote. On the day of service: - Ronnie and his helper sent me a heads-up text when they were on their way. - They brought protective booties to wear indoors. - They did a fantastic job replacing the drywall, taking care to ensure the repair was seamless with the existing drywall. - They cleaned up when they left. They also sent a really nice, handwritten note thanking me for my business after the appointment. That's the first time that's ever happened, and it's just one more reason why I highly recommend this business. Great work + great people + fair price = happy, satisfied customer. :-)

Ronnie is honest, kind and knowledgeable - he told us we likely had an issue with water leaking through the shower door track. He recommended a handyman when we asked who could help replace our shower door. Once we addressed the source of the leak, Ronnie came back. Had a small hole cut in the wall to confirm the surrounding wood & drywall didn't have mold or extensive damage, which was a huge relief. He showed us pictures as well. Hole was patched up within hours. He and Diego let us know when everything would be dry and ready for prime and paint (which we did ourselves). He even sent us a thank you note in the mail afterward :) If you're looking for an honest professional, then highly recommend Hole in the Wall. Thanks Ronnie!

Two years later, we still received the same high level of professionalism, care, and respect from Partida Drywall. Oftentimes for whatever reason, home projects don't go as planned. But that was not the case with our project. It was completed on schedule and seamlessly. Javier was upfront and transparent with us, providing a timeline that was realistic and clear, and updates throughout the project. Ruben was the main person who worked on our project. He is a master craftsman who always showed up early, is polite and friendly. My first review for Partida Drywall still holds true and is affirmed by the excellent work we received with our latest project. Thank you, Partida Drywall.

They worked continuously for five months, applying level 5 smooth finish to numerous walls and ceilings. While there were a few missteps and revisions to the initial estimate, I'm ultimately satisfied with the final result. Due to time constraints, my own painters had to address a few texture imperfections, but overall, the process was smooth enough that I would recommend Javier for large, multi-month renovation projects.

But I was impressed enough that I wanted to write something now, and he's almost certainly who we're going with. He actually listened. He let me describe what the inspector found, asked questions back, and explained what the work really involves in language I could follow. I'm not handy and I had a hundred questions, and not one of them annoyed him. Then he offered to come out on a Sunday -- his day off -- to look at it in person so he could give me a real number instead of a ballpark. Being a first-time homeowner means walking into every one of these conversations with no way to tell if you're being taken for a ride. Jimmy made that feeling go away as soon as he spoke. I'll update this once the work is done, but I already know who I'm calling for anything drywall from here on. Thank you, Jimmy -- you made a stressful week a lot easier.

Jimmy came out twice to give us an estimate and was very honest about the situation -- he ultimately declined the job because the previous contractor had installed the drywall incorrectly and the work was in poor condition. He never charged us for his time and was simply trying to help. That level of honesty and willingness to help is rare. Thanks again Jimmy!

All our required inspections passed without a hitch due to his crews' diligent and knowledgeable installations. Scott was very flexible, and even went above and beyond to help us when we had a major setback in our schedule (not caused by him!). He provided advice on how to recover quickly and effectively even though this setback was not caused by him or his workers. I have no hesitations recommending Pacific Drywall & Painting to anyone who is in need of insulation, drywall, or painting services.
