I've been here to get my passport photos before (a decade ago), and was satisfied with the service, but after this (last) time, I'll take my money elsewhere. The owner needs to either retrain or fire the young man who takes the photos. He seems to be very unhappy working here and it shows in his words and actions. He never smiled, and maintained an "I hate this place, my job, and you" expression on his face from first sight to ignoring my "Thank you" when I headed out. The advertised selling point of this place is that they'll re-take your photo until you're satisfied (he points and clicks, then shows you the photo on the computer screen, and if you don't like how it turned out, you can ask him to take another). After the first shot, I asked him to take another, instead of just doing so, said guy deadpans, "It looks good" with the attitude of a challenge. Well, thank you for your opinion, but it's my right to ask for a retake if I want one (it's not like I've asked for too many - this was my first request). When I repeated my request, he reluctantly complied. That done, he muttered for me to wait, and ignored my question about whether credit cards are accepted (yes). Another young man was in charge of taking payment, and he was just as robotic as the first (no thanks from him either). I left thinking it's sad to see twenty-something-year-old Scrooge types, and this place has two of them. Updated: I added a star because, after reading my review, the owner contacted me to apologize and said he would re-train his employees. Do NOT go here. My aunt sent me here to get a picture of my mother printed for her tombstone. I discussed with Alvin that I needed a 8x10 as we have had these printed in the past. I would have not gone here if my aunt did not suggest him. We trusted him to print an important piece for us and to print it quickly. He showed me a 4x6 and I told him no an 8x10. He said "okay yes for tombstones. I know." He then charged me $15. After that, I was handed a 4x6 photo. I asked for a refund and told him this is not what I paid for. He said, "yes we agreed on a 4x6." He refused to give me my money back and then ignored me. He charged me $15 for a LOW quality 4x6. I could get these for 20 cents printed anywhere else with better quality. He was rude from the moment I walked into the store and I should have not done business with him. I got my 8x10 printed at walmart for $3 within an hour. DO NOT GO HERE. He scammed me of my money. read more

My mom heard about them on the radio or TV or something and said we should go here. I'm like "Jeez, not this again." But I gave them a shot to please her. And yeah, it was one of those "Jeez, not this again" situations where my mom trusts everything she hears on the radio or TV for no other reason than that alone. She doesn't get the idea behind advertising IMHO. Not great experience with customer service and what they said made me feel off - either it's that I'm not confident in their knowledge or not confident in their desire to share it. Or even that they seem kind of lazy. Not sure which, but it was extremely off-putting. It felt like one of those situations where they advertise to get you in the door and will keep trying to sale you their services. Honestly, I couldn't place why I instantly hated them, but I did. I don't really need to know why or try to label them, I just needed to get away from them. I don't recommend these people from my experience. They probably can get things done (or not - I really don't know since I didn't use them). I travel a lot for work and have done many applications myself before I decided I would rather spend money to save time. These processes are usually pretty clear if you proofread your application to make sure everything required is filled. I did not feel comfortable being here at all and I actually went in wanting to pay money for things I know I could do myself to save time. Needless to say, I just filled the application myself and mailed it in. And it went perfectly. However, they made my mom doubt me and I had to calm her down. I was like 'Mom, calm down, I traveled 75% of last year to many countries, and most of the time, it was on last minute notice. If I got to Russia with their strict laws with the time I had to get that visa done, I can get a simple passport renewal with two months time.' And I did. read more

Poor customer service. There was one worker at the time I came in who didn't even bother to greet customers. When approached, answered questions about how much things costed to a minimum without elaborating, which was confusing. I asked clarifying questions (total of 3 questions) before being told to just go to staples haha. I'm pretty generous with stars in my rating, but this place doesn't deserve even one. Only giving this place a 1 star because you can not give 0 stars. Went into the store with my dad in order to get my passport done and the person working there spoke very rudely. My dad asked questions kindly, but was given ill-mannered responses as if he did not want to provide help. My dad only went here because he heard about this place through the radio, but we are never going back. After leaving the store, I went to yelp to see if others experienced the same things I did and surely enough they have. Overall, this place is overpriced and poorly managed, I recommend finding elsewhere. :) read more

Avoid this place. I would give it a zero if I could. The service is horrible and the price is outrageous. I needed to laminate some photocopy paper and they wanted to charge me $6 for each page. I took them to UPS and it's only $1.69 each. A friend of mine went there for their "expedite passport service". For 4 passport pictures and filling out the application form, they charged her $150, then gave her the address to go applying herself. This place has been around for a long time and they know how to get the job done. However, I knocked off 3 stars for very rude service. If they can't do your paperwork because of something out of their control such as an error on federal document, they won't even want to talk to you knowning they cant make money from you. My family has been going here for a long time but I reccomend to take your business elsewhere where the customer is respected. read more

Terrible customer service provided by the owner Alvin. My mother re-applied for a passport after realizing a mixed up of her first and middle name. She paid $50 for one picture and a simple form filled out. Not sure why she didn't ask me beforehand, but what's done is done so I was okay with that. I took her to the post office and we were told that it wasn't needed after all. We went back to him just to ask for the cashier check refund (he made a cashier check of $110 for my mother to pay for the passport fees). The guy managed to raise his voice at my mother and demanded her to return to the post office. Dude! She paid you a service fees and that's how you talk to my saintly mother? I wasn't having it so I had to step in. I was furious at his tone of voice. Don't know how he stays in business with that attitude. Don't go there for passport services. Came in to renew my passport and they charged an extra $25 processing fee. How do I know it's extra? I went to city hall and they saw the company name and told me not to come again because they UNNECESSARILY charge a $25 "processing fee." What is this "processing fee" for? Charges 15$ to take picture for passport when the actual government office charges 10$. Their deal is they'll do all the paperwork for 50$ but the actual paperwork takes like 10minuted to do. They refer you to a super crowded slow post office to do your passport because that would convince some people who hate waiting to just let them handle it for 50$ when you can just go to a city hall which is empty and do the paperwork in 10 minutes. They prey on people who do not know how much everything really cost and don't speak English. They do a deal for 200$ for passport and card when the civic center only charges 110$ for passport and 30$ for card. I know most people that go here won't use Yelp because they are usually old and trust these shady businesses so this review means nothing but I did it anyways cause this place is sooo shady read more

They are lucky to get 1 star! I was inline after a girl taking picture for passport services and I am supposed the next customer to help . But the guy call the next customer to sit down to take picture and she just waked in He seems lee ignoring me ... and talked very impolite . Overpriced and service isn't that great. Went to get a photo restored and they charged an arm and a leg for it. Didn't know where else to go, so we just went with them. The picture doesn't look good at all and is now sitting in a drawer untouched. Wasted over $100 on that single picture, and ended up going to Asia to get it done instead. Got a beautiful picture for less than $30. Costco picture restoration is a fraction of the cost as well, and looks great. read more

I would give them 0 star if I could. My mom gave me the phone number to this place because they are reliable (according to her), and I can avoid the line at a passport agency. They told me over the phone that they can take care of expedited passport for my baby and I for $40/person plus government fee. And he told me specifically all I have to do is to go pick it up at the LA agency once it is ready. Well...guess what? He asked me to pay before the process, took pictures, filled out the forms, handed me the envelopes and told me to go to Buena Park Library, where they have the authority to witness my oath & signature. So I thought okay, that's not what you told me earlier, but if you needed me to go drop it off for you then fine.Nooooo!!! It turned out I have to pay the government fee, and another $25/passport for the witness fee over there. On top of that, the library told me that I got ripped off because I could of gone straight to them and have everything done, and could of saved me $80. I have never felt so cheated! I was beyond furious, please take my words and stay away from this place. They have wasted my time and money, btw I ended up paying almost $500 for an adult and child passport. I was desperately looking for a place that could do CANADIAN passport photos. I spent 3 hours making calls, driving around, and none of the regular places could do them for Canadian specs. ABC Copy was just about to close, and Alvin HAPPILY greeted me and said he would help me. He not only took quick, easy and GOOD photos, but he successfully made them to the Canadian dimensions and had my photos ready in under 30 minutes! The photos were a bit on the expensive side, but I didn't care, as Alvin was a delight, gave great customer service and saved the day! :) read more
