Just finished an evening class with Jay Allyn as our instructor. The class provided all of the necessary content for me to get started in bartending. Jay made the class fun while still educational. I am now confident to go out there and get a great bartending gig. Thank you ABC and thank you Jay!! read more

This was one of the best choices I have made. I graduated yesterday from the Los Al school. Both Kim and Janice were fantastic teachers, and I learned so much. If you're on the fence, or even just considering getting this training, go for it. With ABC, there was so much hands on time, I learned a lot of the drinks by muscle memory. Kim and Janice really care about the success of their students, and they will drill the information into your head. I couldn't be happier with my experience. read more

I was always interested in taking a class in bartending. Decided to give it a go so spoke to a few schools and was impressed with how organized ABC. Combination of Kim's business acumen, being flexible to my schedule, and the very knowledgeable instructor J.T. has made my training a real pleasure. Anyone looking to take class I would give this school a go. read more

I wanted to take the course because my friend kept running her mouth of drinks, cocktails, liqueurs and spirits like an expert. I was impressed, what was more impressing is the money that can be made in Bartending. So I called and Kim made it very easy to get into the earliest class they could offer. We had 3 instructors in the morning class Ryan, Janice and Kim. All three instructors are amazing with different types of teaching styles and personalities, which is a big plus because these are the personalities you are going to see and need to prosper in the spirit serving industry. Janice is great at teaching at a fast paced "drill sergent" style. She is fun, out-going and have a New-York Attitude to her. She is very good at teaching speed and what the right kind of attitude and personality is required behind the bar. Kim is a sweetheart. She is very nice and patient and will answer every question you have. She is very good at teaching the business side of things like tips, calculations, preparing multiple drinks at once, and bar terms. Ryan acts more like a guru of bartending. He came from a long line of bartenders in his family so his stories and side tracks are very valuable lessons to take home with you. His teaching style is more laid back then the rest of the instructors but still learned plenty from mixing drinks and cocktails. I highly recommend ABC Bartending to anyone who wants to learn to be a good host in a party, to get a second job or a primary one for that matter, and to have a really good time, I know I did. read more

Today marks the day I got certified at ABC Bartending School and I couldn't be more Happier and proud of myself. This was such a great experience mainly because of Janice the Instructor; She is very funny, outgoing, and very knowledgeable about drinks. Again I'm so glad I took this course and having Janice as my instructor makes me more confident to get out there and start Bartending. read more

First and foremost if you are looking to be a bartender at any level whether it be at your local bar, 5 star restaurant or a private party bartender you need to attend ABC Bartending School, especially this one!! A very easy sign up process, walk in Kim or Janice (instructors) will greet you there. They will tell you how they run the classes and decide whether you would like a morning or night class and you can start right away. The school is an actual bar set up! Almost every liquor in every bar they have so you can practice handling, pour counts, getting used to the different glasses that are used in every bar and most of all music will be played while making drinks. Class is not mandatory but I strongly encourage to go to everyone because isn't that what you paid for? U learn about 10 drinks a day and the classes are only 4 days a week for about 3 hours a day and those hours go by fast because your are constantly moving or working, pretty much the same thing you will be doing once you start working anywhere. My instructor was Janice during my two weeks and let me tell you... She does not play when it comes to having all of your drinks spot on, which you absolutely want because once you start working, that practice in class will help make better drinks which means better tips! She will challenge you and will pound how to make the drinks in your head to the point where you start to think about the ingredients of drinks when you are not even in class. She is full of fun and has a ton of stories about multiple alcohols she's encountered. All in all I'm glad I chose this particular ABC Bartending school because it's the closest you get to a actual bar setting, Janice and Kim are awesome instructors that push you to be the best bartender, that will ultimately set you up to make a ton of money. Once you pay for the class you can come back forever. A lifetime warranty at this school and your certificate here can be used all over America because ABC is nationwide. Definitely a great choice to get tour bartending career started. read more

I had the pleasure of having Raven as an instructor. She was awesome! She taught us so much about not only making drinks, but the ins and outs of a bar. I love how awesome Janice is! (She didn't pay me to say that.. lol) always have a great time learning from her, she is patient, may be intimidating at first, but she is really good/nice and knows how to drill these popular drinks we learn in class by her hilarious methods. If you want to learn bartending, this is 100% the place to be at. #1 - you get your certificate in a timely manner, basically two weeks (mon-thurs) or two weekends in a row, #2 - you learn how to sharpen your mind through memorization, #3 - it is so good to have on your resume as far as new experiences/certifications, even if you don't decide to be a full-time bartender. Ask if they have specials going on and your money never expires. You can come in and review your material at any time before and after you have your certificate! I love this place, give it a shot!!! read more

A buddy of mine decided to take bartending classes. After looking around I found abc bartending here on katella where I went and actually sat in on a class. That's when I met the one and only Janice!!!!!! Lol Janice is one of the instructors other than Kim. Janice is really cool down to earth and very helpful. The classes are fast and up tempo. Really hands on and you're making drinks like 95% of the time. I would definitely recommend taking this class. Not to mention the price is very reasonable too. read more

I purchased a class for my friend since she has always wanted to get her bartender certificate. She had to be absent two days due to illness and when she contacted the person giving the training she was reassured her that she would be able to finish it with another group. My friend has been calling and trying to find the person that told her that she would be able to make up the days, without sucess. Her multiple messages via voice mail, texts and in person have been ignored. At this point I feel that my gift had no value and my friend's time and interest disregarded. Kim is the person that told my friend that it would be ok. Her inability to stand by her word and deliver what she promised do not speak highly of the school's respect of others. read more

Jay was an awesome instructor. Had a lot of fun here and was surprised how much I learned. There's a lot of resources here. Definitely recommend read more

I wenr to this school to see what it was about and to see if i was able to become a bartender without any experience. I have never had any more fun in a classroom in my life. In abc bartending school, you get the full experience being at a bar ! Not only do you learn the most popular cocktails but you get to make them during this course as well. It isnt real alcohol but the bottles they have are filled with water and food coloring. I had instuctors Ryan and Kim, they are extremely informative with important details and have amazing stories to share to the class. If anyone is looking to become a bartender this class is something you definitely would have to try out. Youll learn to make mixed drinks with speed, build your awareness as a bartender and become very knowlegdable of all kinds of liquors, liqueurs, beers and wines. read more

I signed up for a class, not really sure what to expect. After talking to fellow coworkers and other people in the industry, I was told it is the biggest waste of time and money to do this class. The first day really proved to me that everyone else's opinions were completely wrong. The class and the people were amazing. We all got along great and I've never had so much fun in a school, haha. I'm glad to say that I had the best instructor, JT. She's extremely outgoing and makes the class fun. Kim also taught on one of the days and I was amazed at how similar both of their teaching styles were. It was very easy to understand and they made it so easy to memorize all the drinks. I definitely recommend this school and both teachers. I went in not knowing anything about mixology and came out at the end so confident about what I've learned. They also have job leads posted every week, which is very helpful. I can't wait to get behind a bar and show everybody what I've learned!! read more
