You learn the basics and everything you need to perform CPR with one or two people while taking turns. I would definitely recommend anyone who is looking for a professional place to learn and become certified, look no further. I had to get the CPR for BLS providers and they offer that. I'm spoiled and even though it was my fault for procrastinating and not keeping up with my bizness...I STILL WANT WHAT I WANT, WHEN I WANT IT!) LOL! So anyway....I find Bixby Health & Safety, and it was workin with my schedule. I paid and reserved my spot online (cuz I was in NO mood to be talkin on the phone right about then). Lol. And after I got off work Saturday morning and came home to shower, I was all up in that piece at the designated time. Kobby (the instructor) had me looking sideways at him for a second. Super tall brotha, with loooooong dreads. But to my amazement, he was entertaining, professional, practical, and cool with his teaching. There were 3 newbies in the group, and 3 of us getting re-certed. The class was decent. Very informative (there were changes since my last re-cert). The only thing I have a complaint about (which is why it only got 4 stars instead of 5) is that I felt it should have gone faster, smoother, for the recerts. After all, it wasn't our first time at the rodeo.....if ya know what I'm saying. Lol. Yeah, yeah, I'm impatient. So what. It goes down like that over here. Anyway, I breezed through the exam, in like 2 seconds flat. Got my new card and got the *BLEEP* on. Not in an attitudish way, but I felt like the newbies were the reason why I wasn't back at home already and in bed asleep cuz I had to work that night too. Long, (but ENTERAINING) story short.....if you need your BLS (CPR card) for work, school, or personal reasons.....go to this spot. Kobby is mad cool, and will even throw you a bottle of cold water because huffin and puffin in those masks gets you out of breath. (Especially if you smoke Kools like it's going out of style). Lol. My sister and I wanted to get recertification on our First Aid/CPR class since ours expired years…read moreago. Our instructor was Curtis. Right off the bat, you can tell he was going to be a cool and laid back teacher. Curtis is a professional and was professional in this course. He made sure that before we moved on, that we were confident in what we just learned. Any questions we had, he took his time on answering it. We never felt rushed. Curtis also had a great sense of humor because I was struggling on tying a certain knot. I didn't know the class was watching me struggle. As I tried my hardest to mimic Curtis' knot, Curtis jokingly said, "I'll be grading you on your knot." I would have failed. Great course! Highly recommend!

I have done CPR/FirstAid/AED training 2 times before (this was my third time) and I can honestly…read moresay that this was the best training I have ever done! Not only did I learn more in this training, but it was more enjoyable and a better use of my time (didn't drag on). The best part was that this was a hybrid course and I completed the majority of it online first - it is official Red Cross online training (you can even go back and access it later if you want as a refresher). The amazing part about it being online was the online training was very informative - it was very simulation based (like a video game) where you had to assess the situation and make different choices. I learned more this way than I ever did before because it was actually practical knowledge that I got to apply. Then by the time I attended in person we went over everything we learned online using the in person training aids (mannequins, AEDs, first aid bandages/wraps, etc.) and that was such a great reinforcement of what I learned online that this time the knowledge really sunk into my brain and I feel more confident knowing the skills than I ever have before. Also, in person the trainer, Brenden, was very entertaining and such a wealth of information. In addition to the training, he shared with us real life examples and stories to add to our knowledge which was very helpful. Because it is Covid, we wore our masks the entire time, sat 6 feet apart and had our own materials to work with (we didn't share and we didn't work with a partner). I felt super safe and I learned a lot! I highly recommend Key CPR to everyone! It is sooooo much better than other programs I learned in the past!

Trust me when I say you won't be able to find another spot that offers such low prices and is taught by someone who's genuinely passionate about teaching. Right off the bat, you could tell that it was going to be a fun class because of his energy. Even though it took me 4 - 5 hours to finish, the time flew by fast because he was so engaging and tailored his teaching to the group. The way he remembers some of the information was so creative, unique, and memorable. Some were also inspired by his daughter when she was 14, which shows just how easy he can make these classes. Overall, it was such a stress-free class. You can tell that he genuinely wants everyone to succeed and feel confident when saving lives.
