I'm spoiled and even though it was my fault for procrastinating and not keeping up with my bizness...I STILL WANT WHAT I WANT, WHEN I WANT IT!) LOL! So anyway....I find Bixby Health & Safety, and it was workin with my schedule. I paid and reserved my spot online (cuz I was in NO mood to be talkin on the phone right about then). Lol. And after I got off work Saturday morning and came home to shower, I was all up in that piece at the designated time. Kobby (the instructor) had me looking sideways at him for a second. Super tall brotha, with loooooong dreads. But to my amazement, he was entertaining, professional, practical, and cool with his teaching. There were 3 newbies in the group, and 3 of us getting re-certed. The class was decent. Very informative (there were changes since my last re-cert). The only thing I have a complaint about (which is why it only got 4 stars instead of 5) is that I felt it should have gone faster, smoother, for the recerts. After all, it wasn't our first time at the rodeo.....if ya know what I'm saying. Lol. Yeah, yeah, I'm impatient. So what. It goes down like that over here. Anyway, I breezed through the exam, in like 2 seconds flat. Got my new card and got the *BLEEP* on. Not in an attitudish way, but I felt like the newbies were the reason why I wasn't back at home already and in bed asleep cuz I had to work that night too. Long, (but ENTERAINING) story short.....if you need your BLS (CPR card) for work, school, or personal reasons.....go to this spot. Kobby is mad cool, and will even throw you a bottle of cold water because huffin and puffin in those masks gets you out of breath. (Especially if you smoke Kools like it's going out of style). Lol. Replied no I do not, the counter lady asked the manager or someone if they could take me? Nope sorry appointment is required, INTERESTING.... They call me to get my blood and playlets. Was kind of put off with this. Guess I will go to another place. Or just go and sell my plasma! Great organization, doing a great job for those in need. This email came inconveniently after the class ended but at least they provided us an update and options. About 10 of us made a reservation for the hybrid cpr class on Sunday and had all arrived 10 minutes in advance. The instructor sent emails out to us saying we should we there on time otherwise we are not allowed to take the class, but he has not arrived within an hour of the scheduled time slot (12 pm to 2:15pm). We are beyond upset about this unprofessional behavior from this organization (aka Frontline Alliance Health and ran by Lui Tortuya).
