August 3rd, 2016 called John (owner) to look at a issue with water leaking from down pipe from kitchen and down into daylight basement where it then went into the slab concrete floor and out to the main. Initially we had called Bill the Fauceteer but that is another story altogether.
First John comes out August 4th, 2016 and he apparently snakes a restriction from the sink. Not sure how there could have been a restriction with the water leaking but we have no reason not take him at his word. Keep in mind we are out of state owners and the tenant just wants the water leaking stopped. So back to snaking the drain and clearing a restriction.
The tenant then mentions a leak in the upstairs bathroom sink (we were not aware and only became aware when plumber called). So John looks at it and puts a bucket under it and says to tenant that he will fix it on Monday August 8th.
So now plumber John calls me and he gives the information about the sink drain leak into the concrete that he cleared a restriction and it seems to have stopped the water from seeping out of the pipe where it goes into the concrete.
Then he explains that the sink in the upstairs bathroom is leaking but he has plans with his wife this weekend and can't come back to fix on Friday August 5th because he needs to get his vehicle down to the Emission Inspection station so they can get out of town. Said it was a special weekend. Stated via text he would be there between 4 & 6 on Monday. Ok, so I get that. Go have fun, I have water leaking into a bucket under the sink and still need to find a reliable plumber who can fix the sink drain that is leaking at the concrete.
So Monday rolls around and still a no show, no call, don't hear from him until the First of October. He says he wants us to pay him.
So in the Mean time I have hired a reliable plumber "River City Plumbing" and he was out there on Tuesday the 9th and by Wednesday the 10th all was fixed and repaired. Including the upstairs sink.
So we are honorable people and we pay our bills, so requested that he provide a invoice for the services. He was having difficulty emailing the invoice so we asked him to mail it. Now keep in mind we had provided all our contact info, email addresses, phone numbers, billing address, etc on August 4th. In all this time (two months) he waits, is a no show to ask us to pay a bill we don't even have yet?
We got the bill finally in the mail October 12th. I contacted John on October 13th and paid via credit card over the phone,
Was is a fair bill, Service call and trip charges to the tune of $105.00, it's what you would expect. Then again, if you call a plumber to do a job, you generally expect them to do a job.
So if you would like a dependable, reliable, fair plumber who can get the job done, well don't call this outfit. (ABC)
