WORST customer service in the valley. Expect to be judged and overcharged. I brought in a coat to be tailored, and she looked me up and down before saying, 'Ugh, but why did you buy a big coat?' I wanted to try a different tailor nearby to line sleeves of four nicer dresses/tops. This place had good reviews. I was quoted prices ($35 for each item which was expensive) and a week for the alterations to be finished She did a good job. I will probably bring more items here. read more

I work in vintage and valuable designer clothing and I use Abby's Tailoring for EVERY job I have. I have come to Maxi with items completely falling apart and she has renewed them with a level of expert that I am not used to seeing on the finest garment. I have seen others reviews on her personality but I believe maybe these people have the expectation to be waited on hand and foot? I'm not sure but I come to Maxi for her artful eye and experience and treat her with respect and she treats me with equal respect. read more

We took our daughter there to alter her prom dress. The day we were to pick it up, we called in advance to make sure it was ready. Maxi had forgotten about the dress but said she could have it done soon. When it was ready, she did not allow her to try it on but rather rushed us out of the shop. All we needed was the hem and straps adjusted. After we got home, the dress did not fit at all. Some thing else had clearly been altered and when I called Maxi, she was rude, condescending and implied this was our fault. We have prom the next day and now need to go dress shopping tonight, and hope that we can find something that will work and not need alterations. I will NEVER go back to this shop. The lady who I worked with here was one of the most rude, condescending people I've ever encountered in a professional setting. From our first interaction she made it clear that she didn't have time for me, and I was an inconvenience for her. Absolutely terrible customer service. If you use Abby's Tailoring, you'd better hope they get it exactly right the first time, because they have absolutely no desire to listen to their customer or be accommodating in any way. She'll literally cut you off if you spend more than one or two sentences trying to tell her what you want your clothes to look like. I want to give 10 stars. I called everywhere to find a next day service. I found Abby's. She assured me my son's pants would be hemmed ontime for his last minute knowledge of his graduation ceremony. After explaining why I brought the pants in last minute, she was understanding and even congratulated my son, saying the pants would look better on him if they were tapered too. After leaving, I felt relieved but nervous about the time crunch. I received a call within two hours, telling me they were done because of our situation. He had the pants in time and they fit great! Maxi was very helpful in measuring me for a uniform that was in severe disarray due to another "tailor". I am very body concious (sp) and she made me feel comfortable in her decisions about how my pants should fit. They dont take credit cards, and you have to pay up front, that freaked me out a little, but she did a great job! i would recommend her to anyone needing some alterations. read more

Maxi was wonderful! My wedding dress needed a lot of alterations and she did them flawlessly! She was able to hem the bottom of the dress to my height, bring in the waist a couple inches, tighten the wide shoulder straps, and add a bustle in a matter of days.
