Wow. I have officially peaked. Me and my good pal have been driving since the crack of dawn. We were hankerin for some grub and so naturally we looked for food near us and let me tell ya Abby was callin my name. We knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that this was the place for us. We get in and these two grand women were slavin away in the kitchen. The worker shortage has been hittin hard and man Abby's was no exception but after patiently waiting Melissa came like an angel straight from heaven to take our order. We got a pizza, salad, and garlic knots and she gave us FREE sodas for the wait and thanked us for our patience. What. A. Gal! Despite the lack of staff the food came out promptly. All in all the food... BUSSIN. Service.... SLAPS. All around ambience.... GOES HARD. Abby came in clutch today. I will never forget this legendary experience in this legendary town. Me and my friend decided to stop by on our way to Idaho. Boy oh boy were we hungry and ready to feast on some legendary pizza!! General manager Melissa greeted us with a smile, saying that she would help us in a few. We were happy to wait, especially seeing that only two people were working! As a few people roamed in, she greeted them by name!!! How awesome that she knows her customers by name! I just love that. We ordered a small (10 inch) ultimate meat pizza, garlic knots, and a caesar salad. Once we ordered, she gave us complimentary sodas for waiting even though we didn't even wait for that long!!! How sweet of her!!!!!!!! Just the service alone is enough to come back over and over. She brought the salad over to our table in just minutes and man I cannot even begin to describe the excitement and joy that ran through my veins once i took that first bite. So much cheese. Perfect dressing to salad ratio. It also helps that the bowl is gorgeous! So good that we sword fought with our forks for the last crouton (I won.) Just a few minutes later, to our pleasant surprise, Melissa came with our garlic knots. These looked AMAZING!!!!! Before I say what I am about to say, I want to let you know that I NEVER lie. I am an honest woman! So with that in mind, let me tell you: these were by far the best garlic knots I have ever had (and I've had a lot of garlic knots.) While eating these I took a second to look around the restaurant and really take everything in. The decor, carpet, and color scheme, are so comforting and homey. I felt welcomed and like I was finally in the safe space I have been so long seeking. And then, BAM. Pizza!!! Woohooo!!! The pizza looked absolutely scrumptious. When I took my first bite I thought I was being ascended into heaven but when I looked up all I saw was the ceiling of this beautiful restaurant. I have never been happier with an experience. Great place. The woman behind the counter encouraged my husband to try all the beers on tap he was unfamiliar with. We ordered a gluten free pizza about 20 min outside town. It was ready when we got there. Very good gluten free crust. As gluten free goes the less toppings the better, the crust has a better chance of cooking all the way through. Clean facilities. It is always amazing to me how many of the same type of place can be sustained in such a small town. Think Hermiston and Mexican restaurants. Here it seems to be pizza and coffee. Does Pendleton really need that many drive thru coffee spots? Hey, I'm new here... Maybe they do. As it is with pizza, too. There are a LOT of pizza places in Pendleton. Abby's is an Oregon chain, but they don't have these in Arizona, so it's new and novel to me. I was a little queasy from being in the sun all day and didn't know how I'd feel about pizza but decided to give it a try. SO glad I did! Abby's has GREAT pizza - you can get it in thin crust or deep dish. This time we tried thin and we loved the crust. The Philly Cheese Steak pizza is awesome and filled to the brim with toppings. Pepperoni is tasty and covering the pizza, not just one little slice here and there. Nice salad bar, too. Looking forward to trying the deep dish next time. They have laminated ads on the table that have trivia to pass the time. Actually a neat marketing idea... Study the ads for local businesses and see how many of the questions you can answer. They have a game room at the back to entertain the kiddies, too. A/C works a bit better in the main dining room than in the back, just so you know. read more

Well, here is a five star rating for Abbys Pizza. The pizza came out but was way too dry, I asked for some extra sauce, the manager on shift offered to remake the pizza, but I said no you don't have to do that. She heated up some sauce for us, but it still only kinda helped, so she again offered to remake the pizza. I didn't want to be too finicky so I said no, but she insisted and made us a new pizza. She wouldn't take a so-so experience for an answer and went above and beyond to take care if us. Great job Chris! Thank you! read more

In pendleton on business again. Arrived back in my room and decided to order a pizza. This time i chose Abby's pizza, back in Portland they have good pizza. ...same recipe should be good here. Wrong. The pizza was so greasy i had to use napkins to blot it off so i could eat it. Attached picture is opening up the box within 2 minutes of it getting in my room. Okay - my reviews can get a bit 'wordy' - so if you are hungry for a great pizza, stop reading and order from this place or go in and eat away!!!! I used to live in California and there is a chain there called Round Table that is my favorite 'chain' pizza. I moved to Idaho about 10 years ago and have been searching for anything even remotely comparable to Round Table ever since... While traveling through Pendleton, I was snug in my hotel room and decided to ask the front desk if there were any decent pizza places that delivered. She recommended Abby's, and that is how my love affair started. I travel about 80 days a year for work, so I get my fair share of delivery pizza in different cities throughout the United States. OMG OMG OMG - this place needs to spread out cause this is some good stuff! I had a Medium thin crust with Sausage, Pepperoni, Mushrooms and Black Olives. I was a bit shocked that my total was about $26, but other Yelp reviews said it was a good value. I am used to paying $30 for a large Pizza at Round Table, but heck I can get 2 pizza from the other chain joints for that price. Anywho - once the pizza got here, I realized that $26 was a really, really good deal. I typically can easily put away 1/2 of a large pizza on a bad night. Two big guys split this medium pizza and we both were stuffed and had 3 or 4 slices left over when we were finished. Round Table Pizza used to have the slogan 'One of the Last Honest Pizzas'. Well now I have finally found the other 'one'. Great stuff going on here - don't hesitate to try! Maybe I'll have to start looking for a new home and make Oregon my next place of residence - it was that good! read more

My husband I ordered a 1/2 and 1/2 with Abby's Legendary and Ultimate Meat.... all on a white creamy sauce. It was awesome :) All the toppings fresh cut, no canned veggies in sight. The crust was noce and crispy. I also won $40 in their mini-casino slot area. Prices reasonable and they also have a special reduced priced pizza. The staff was super friendly and the Assistant Manager on duty was friendly! We will definately eat here again, when we are in the area :) read more

Doesn't look like much when you pass by, but it was a cool drop for us as we were driving. We got the cheese pizza, garlic bread, and salad. We like thinner crust pizzas and the entire pizza was covered with cheese. Rolled that bad boy with park and peppers, called in good. Garlic bread was recommended so we had to give it a try. This place is a joke! I just ordered a $33.00 pizza of which they messed up on and refused to make another pizza for me. Even though I have a receipt that has the correct order on it, general manager Melissa gave me lip and said that I would have to order another pizza. We were on a road trip from Seattle to Boise looking for a quick place to grab dinner. This was great- we were in and out fairly quickly. The staff was so nice and friendly- treated us like regulars. The pizza was decent and hardy. We split a 10 inch between the two of us and were pretty full. About $15 for pepperoni and some veggies. I would recommend. These gals are great! My first job was working at Abbeys Pizza in WW in the early 80's. They had a pizza no one makes. The Bavarian! I haven't had one in years. Saw there was still an Abbeys in Pendleton on my way south to Idaho. I stopped in and didn't see the Bavarian on the menu. I asked if they were familiar with it and they were. They made it special order and it was fantastic. After a few pieces before hitting the road I took it home to the family and they couldn't believe it. Excellent service, great quality of what I remember Abbeys for and willing to go the extra mile. They will be on my itinerary each time I pass through from no on. Overpriced, rude cashier, average pizza and like 4 crappy arcade games. It's edible and everything but not completely worth it. Some of the employees were good, nice and helpful but the oldest one in the building tonight, Thursday, was rushing me and my daughter and seemed annoyed we were there. They need to change the name for real. I expected way more from the name. I'm not from here but this leaves me thinking that the standards of the locals may be extremely low. Pendleton, OR: This place deserves at least four stars. We got two of the $7 lunch specials with a personal size pizza and all you can drink soda on our way to Portland last week. The pizzas came out hot, fresh, quickly, and LOADED with toppings. There were olives EVERYWHERE on my Vegetarian's Garden (thank you!) and my folks loved their Fajita Chicken pizza. The crust struck a great balance between soft and crispy and we got more bang for our buck than expected. What more could you want from a small town pizza place? read more

We recently had Abby's pizza at our staff meeting. The pizza was burnt, the sauce had a strange tinge to it, the dough wasn't cooked through. We had lunch there a week ago and it wasn't very good, the veggie Greek was burnt as well, we've always loved Abby's in the past. The staff is wonderful! The pizza just is not the same. The girls also ordered bread sticks and boneless chicken wings, they as well weren't very good either. I hope if they are having a change in the pizza crust or the ovens aren't working as well that they change them! It's disappointing and expensive! read more

I have discovered that the only time we will go to this Abby's Pizza for the salad bar is when Christina is working. My parents were visiting from out of town on Wednesday, August 8th. We were going to go to your restaurant and have the salad bar. I went in to the restaurant and looked at the salad bar. The lettuce looked terrible (old), the items were not properly filled, and the salad bar looked all around messy. We decided not to waste our money on your salad bar. Every time that Christina is working, the salad bar is clean, the food is fresh, and the area around it is clean. I only wish that the rest of your employees took the same amount of pride in your salad bar as Christina does.
