The Tour of Naples is a full immersion experience!…read more It starts off with a toast and the restaurant folks are excellent hosts. We learned how to make the Negroni cocktail and they took time to teach the flaming orange. Including a lot of interesting history and information about the spirits. The instruction on making the pizza and cocktail was so thorough that we felt like we really did something, while we learned in action. Worth the time and money. *they did ask if anyone is dry, but not sure what they offer in lieu of the cocktails or wine.

We went on a food tour of downtown Roanoke. Our guide was Ned. I thought the whole tour was run…read morevery well (I've been on about 5 other food tours) and saw that Ned was in contact with the next restaurant each time so that they were ready for us. Ned provided us with great information about the history of the town, the railroad (although some of that was incorrect as he kept saying Raleigh instead of Norfolk as it pertained to the railroad and it kept saying that one of the railway companies "left" when in fact, they were merged. Maybe this wouldn't have mattered so much except someone in our group was very familiar with the railroad) But Ned was very personable and you could tell he loved history and as we do too we really enjoyed his tour. The food on the tour was fairly varied and unique to the town (a must!) and it was great to hear the back story of the ownership of the restaurants. (I was a little worried when at the first two restaurants we were served seafood dishes, a seafood bisque and shrimp and grits as one person in our group doesn't really like seafood and I think this is a risky choice for a tour. Also at Chocolate Paper we were given two mediocre Asher chocolates to try instead of some of their more expensive and more delicious Debrands chocolates.) One person in our group thought there wasn't enough food and thought another restaurant or two should be added. I tend to agree when compared to the cost of this tour against other tours I've taken. Had the cost been a little lower I think the amount of food would've been fine. All in all, a great tour though. Ned really was a great guide, I hope he leads more tours, I really learned a lot!

This is a tough mixed review. We used H & R to take a group of students to DC and then to NYC in…read moreJuly 2019. We started out with an amazing driver named Brodrick. He drove us from Boone NC to DC to NYC and then 80% of our return trip back to Boone NC. Due to federal regulations we had to get a relief driver to finish our trip. And that's where the concerns began. Phillip our relief driver was just plain dangerous and at times was driving more than 15 MPH over the posted speed limit. His driving was erratic and jerky. We mentioned to him several times that the police liked to patrol the area he was in and that since he was clearly speeding it wasn't going to have a good outcome. When we arrived at our final destination all of our participants had to remain seated and on the bus so he could go to the back and use the restroom. We all just wanted away from him! His actions were extremely dangerous for everyone aboard. He has no business driving a tour bus.

Katie was a wonderful hostess and the tour went to three wineries with the flights included at each location. Such a unique, non generic way to experience the area. HIGHLY Recommended. Visiting from California and the vibes were right the whole day, between the bus, host, and wine. We've done a good amount of tours in the past but I really enjoyed the inclusiveness of Tipsy's package. Usually you get dropped off and then have to go wait and pay at each place, but not so here. The price included the tastings (not tipping though, but why would it) which made it feel easier and just a smoother process overall. We had great conversations with the other guests, but also didn't feel like we had to hang out with them if we didn't want to. The host/owner was very entertaining and her attitude kept the vibes right the whole trip! Definitely would do some other wineries with this company again if ever back in VA!

The app is no more useful than what can be found on the internet. It does not have a place to purchase a fare card or a route calculator. If it does have these features, the app is not clearly organized. The main hub was filthy inside trying to figure out where to buy a ticket. The confusing routes and time tables, were paper taped to the wall. The employees were not quick to offer help, even when standing at the window talking about fares. Short they just assume someone knows what they are doing. The bus drivers are the same, if asked for clarity when getting off, if that would be the same place to get on the next hour. The stops do not have the bus routes on them and expected times. That would be helpful to have readily available, along with a map of the area at primary stops, for people who are new to the area. The signage on the bus is not clear of how much a fare is, thankfully we had single trip fares. The buses are prompt! They leave the main station on time and move through stops efficiently, while.
