The newer staff loses a star because they put little to no effort in the pre-brushing off of the car (and this is for the past couple years now). Sometimes they barely swipe the brush past the vehicle. This is not going to help with dried bird poop. I pay like $15 or $16 for the wash, tip a few bucks to the pre-brush crew, and a few more to the towel-dry guys at the end (who get an extra star), so over $20. I wish it was 5 stars! You can do it guys!!!!

Hands down my favorite place to take my car. I love that they hand wash and dry it, so you don't…read morehave to worry about a brush or machine scratching the car. They do such a great job on both the interior and the exterior. They have different packages that focus on different needs. (seats, carpets, etc) This was my first time getting #7, the carpet shampooing package. My kid dropped a large sugary beverage and it spilled all over. I cleaned it the best I could, but the next day my car still had an awful overwhelmingly sweet smell. I felt like I had a brand new car after they were done with it! I've been coming to this car wash for 4 years and they never disappoint. They are pretty fast and efficient. They pay attention to detail and even vacuum my car seats- which I appreciate. I recommend coming early during the week because they get very busy. There's an outdoor seating area while you wait. I usually pick up food nearby and eat. (On Queen St, there's so many food options: Fancy Bagels, Starbucks, Dunkin, Ellie's Farmhouse - our favorite brunch spot... etc. Jersey Mike's, Chipotle, Moe's, Buffalo Wild Wings, iHop, a ton of fast food restaurants, etc. depending on the time of day!) I tell everyone about this place. They are wonderful! It's relatively inexpensive, especially considering that they have consistently done a great job every time. I've never paid more than $70 before tip. Tip is completely optional and they've never asked/ they aren't pushy or expectant about it. You can give a tip directly to them or discretely put it in one of their secure tip boxes. The cost of a wash without any special package is $20-something I think. (I forgot to take a photo of the sign.) They have a punch card for loyalty - and they do a free wash on your birthday! ****The prices in the sign photo attached to my previous review are old, from 2022. Prices have increased since then but they are still very reasonable!***

Regardless I will rarely go anywhere else. Any option in Waterbury that is cheaper (Walmart, Monroe, Meineke) usually requires an appt or has a 2-3 hr wait especially when these places run THEIR specials (I know from many bad experiences). No thank you. I'm done with that. Platinum Car Wash does a solid job. They don't sell me on an air filter or wipers and I'm usually in/out within 20 minutes or less. Plus they will give me a free car wash which makes up for some of the price difference anyways. Highly recommend Platinum Car Wash for your next oil change.

I usually leave reviews for restaurants on Yelp but today I wanted to share my experience with Eric…read more, he's truly a gem , a hardworking humble and kind soul . He makes going to the car wash a pleasure , easy drive through and always has towels , sprays and even tire shine as well as good running vacuums ( all this offered even to non members ) Now that's so considerate because most places don't do that He also runs specials and allows you to join and never limits you like some places to only "new customers" Today I had to ask him to refund a car wash because I bought a membership a day or two after and with out hesitation he helped and told me no problem. To me that's the place you want to go for all your car needs , you are treated like a Vip and next door there's a oil change and a nice lounge area with coffee while you wait , can't beat that !! Thanks Eric if you see this and thanks so much to all the guys there they are so helpful as well ...Seriously the Best no doubt

As for the management and staff who scan the cars, they need a serious revamp. Not the best customer service. Also, monthly plans for cleaning the car have gotten ridiculously high. Some customers were not informed and then surprised how high the cost went up. You'd have to come 5 times a month to get your monies worth. This establishment used to be great when they first opened up years ago and has gone downhill in the past year. Do better... I had to add that I agree with the prior comment that the staff is snarky. Also had to add since I was just there again... (I know I'm a glutton for punishment)...Went to get the full cleaning and had to again vacuum my car in self service, wipe down everything again and notice that there were parts that they didn't even touch.
