However, several of the employees are very rude and I always feel I need to brace myself before going in. Tonight I placed an order for an 8"x10" color copy laminated poster for a class I'm teaching in the morning... The service representative told me their policy had changed as of January 1st & he was not allowed to print it for me the same day. I would need to place my order (for ONE color copy) and return to pick it up tomorrow. And of course, they open after the start of my CLASS ~ As if I would return for one copy anyway! I told him I had just ordered the same thing one week ago (1/31) so I know this "policy change" he's describing is not accurate but he refused to serve me. Then he proceeded to stand there doing nothing but yell at me all the way out the door about how he is too busy to stop & print my order. I will not be back.

No deliver attempt was made, both my wife & I were in the house during the time this alleged delivery attempt was made and they are not telling the truth. We don't listen to loud radios or anything of that nature, no attempt was made or we would have heard it. It's my contention, they send these emails to customers to make them think it is the customers fault deliveries weren't made within their 2 day window, then the next delivery option is a week away. Instead of making these false claims of two day deliveries, why not just tell the truth and tell the customer the actual estimated delivery date. I'm fine with a 7-9 day delivery time, but I'm not fine with being deceived. The truth is, if they had indeed tried to deliver our order, they would have had success. We're two people (in our 60's) that work from home and (because of Covid-19) only go out of the house once or twice a month to buy groceries. the claim that they made a delivery attempt is completely false.

On the day of moving, I found out that my lease had been delayed and that I wasn't able to move into my new space. Embarrased, I called Chris to tell her that I would have to re-schedule and she cheerfully told me not to worry and that she would handle it. Unfortunatley, I had to call and reschedule 2 more times after that due to a complete screw up at my new office space. Through all of it, Chris was fantastic to work with and found a way to keep moving me around. On the day I finally moved, the movers were not only on time, they were early and did a great job of getting me into my new space. All Furniture, you have a wonderful employee in Chris Springer and you should be aware of what outstanding customer service that she provides. The Nomadic Press is a really cool studio with an equally cool owner. Kent is a super nice guy,…read moreand it's clear his work is his passion. I had the privilege of attending a studio tour of the facilites where he produces his art. Stationery, business cards, invitations, certificates...you name it and he can print it. Have him print an invoice; that too will end up looking like an artifact :) He took the time to walk us through the entire process and patiently answered all our (mostly my) questions. He even allowed us to print little booklets and sent up back with souvenirs. His website is a great intro to his work, but if you can setup some time with him to visit the studio, you will fall in love with this method of print. Oh, I should also mention that he even tooled his own equipment to make his own paper at some point. Interesting process, interesting work and an interesting guy behind it all who is willing answer any questions you have (regardless of your print experience). Don't just check out the studio, give him your business and support a true craftsman.

His choice to go into this business is tied to who he is as a person rather than what kind of career would make a lot of money. The quality and value of his work has provided for his family and a good life. Quality and value. That, really, is all that this review needs to say. There are now many more people experimenting with letter press in Minnesota, and some are pretty good. But I doubt that there are any who are in the same category as Nomadic Press in terms of quality and value. His dedication to traditional and time-honored methods of production and service alone puts Nomadic in a separate category, but he is also an artist with considerable taste and heart who can guide the customer to the best available result in the market. My business cards are not only read, but literally fondled by people I hand them to. They have weight, texture and they mean business. The Pantone colors specified by the designer were perfectly matched in the inks mixed by Kent.
