Had a problem with a stove and was very disappointed with the service and lack of professionalism. For the duration of the service call, that proved to be completely unhelpful in diagnosing or repairing the issue, we were subjected to aggressive political views. Had an oven problem and called and gave error code and oven and self diagnosis. Said they had to come out and look at it but $130 service call would be applied to repair amount. Did nothing but look at error code that I had given him. Several days later women called and said repair would be $395 dollars. When technition came to make repair he said that it was caulked in and he didn't do caulk and then tried to manhandle unit out without cutting caulk. Told me units aren't normally caulked in but having been a builder for 43 years I knew this was a false statement. Being he did not have proper tool I then got knife and cut caulk. When repair was finished without cleaning up after himself he demanded another $395 without $130 service call credit as originally agreed. BE WARNED: This company cannot be found on the Better Business Bureau website. There is no way to leave a review or issue a formal complaint with the BBB about them. Aayers Appliance Repair has some of the worst customer service and communication I have ever encountered. I highly recommend that you give this company a pass, and look elsewhere when needing any sort of appliance repair. Our experience: We noticed our dishwasher had a leak, and my partner decided to give them a call to have it repaired. The technician that came out "diagnosed" the issue (charging over $100 to do so), by pulling the dishwasher out and informing us that a rat had chewed the drain line. We were told we needed a new drain line, and it'd have to be ordered, so we paid $50 to have it ordered. Around 2 weeks later, we hadn't heard anything yet, so gave a call to check up on the status of the part. They did not answer, but when they called back the lady was unfriendly and informed my partner that the part is on back order. She said if we wanted to cancel our order, we could get a refund for the part but only if it hadn't shipped yet. A couple weeks passed and I asked my partner to check up again to see if they had any new info. He left a message, and they did not return our call. Fast forward to nearly 8 weeks after our original service call... I decide to give a call to check in, and I cannot stress enough how awful these people are. When speaking to the woman in the office, she said that she'd take my information and give me a call back when she could check on the part. I mentioned that my partner had left a message a couple weeks prior and never heard back. At this point the woman became rude and combative, and I expressed that I didn't appreciate the sassy attitude she had and that they seem to have poor customer service. Her husband then gets on the line and is also rude and borderline yelling at me. Now, I understand that because of COVID and the pandemic, there are many things that are taking longer than normal to ship. I special order product every single day at my job, and I have to inform customers of delayed or changing timelines constantly. But I NEVER fault a customer for calling and wanting to check up on their order and I happily (and politely!) give them the information. Additionally, every company I work with will provide me with some sort of ETA for when they anticipate the shipment to come in. They do explain that with backordered products, that date can fluctuate but can give some frame of reference between 1 month and 10 months ETA. But apparently Aayers Appliance Repair cannot/will not try to come by information from their vendors like this. I was told by the husband (and I assume Owner), that the part is on back order, they can't get information of an ETA from their vendor, that they'd call us when it came in, and that we needed to stop calling. I expressed to the owner that if they can't get an ETA, then what does it hurt for me to give a call once every couple of weeks to see if they had new information? He proceeded to yell at me that I have a "listening problem" and we needed to stop calling. Keep in mind this was only the third call we'd made in nearly two months! I told him that at this point I'd like my money back, and he said "No!" I repeated the information his wife told my partner 6 weeks prior, that we could get our money back if the part hadn't shipped. He then tried to claim that we hadn't paid $50 for the part, and I had to pull out our receipt and checkbook to prove that we had indeed paid for it. The owner finally agreed that they'd put a check in the mail the following day. We received the refund check for the part. They are returning $45 to us, despite the fact that the receipt says we paid $50 for this part. You've got to be kidding me! If you are reading this review, I truly encourage you to shop around and check out multiple different companies that offer appliance repair in the area. It is not worth the frustration to deal with these people. I'd give zero stars if I could. read more

We have used Aayres in the past and this time we were equally satisfied with their promptness and efficiency. He ascertained we had a leaking gasket in our washer, Jenn-air igniter needed replacing in our oven and the dishwasher was leaking in two places. Due to the age of dishwasher, he stated would be cheaper to buy a new one and tightened the freezer handle which was loose on the Jenn-air fridge. read more

Had a washer that just didn't want to play nice and the issue was way past my novice ability to fix it. After calling several places, we set up a next day appointment with Aayres. Craig came out and gave a good look at the washer, opening it up and thoroughly checking everything. His honest assessment of the washer was what I was hoping for, not trying to soak us for a ton of money but a realistic answer to our issue. I have a Kenmore Elite dryer that stopped heating. I sent a message through their website at around 8 pm. I got a call back in the morning around 9. The service tech was at my door at 10:30 the same day. He was very nice and pleasant to talk to. He found the problem pretty quickly and gave me an estimate on the spot. He showed me the broken part and how it failed. He replaced the part and was out of here at 11:30. I don't know how you can get better service than that! I was deeply impressed. Thanks read more

Called me when they said they would. Showed up when they said they would. Checked out the appliance, found the offending part. Gave me the option of having them replace it, or doing it myself (simple repair ) to save money. Aayres called, gave me the part number and I shopped the internet and found the part for 1/2 the price of ordering it directly from Maytag / Whirlpool. The owner (also the repair tech) was conversant, pleasant, and helpful. I'll be keeping his card very near for any future appliance repairs to be sure. read more

Name change to Bendover.com would be appropriate. 10% discount on $90 service call for paying cash. but didn't have the $19 change. Said it could be applied to the parts, said the Gal would call. No call. Called them 10 days later, Gal was frustrated by the call, said she never calls until all the parts are in. I asked if could get an appointment 5 days out. It's a 3 hour drive to our home and the husband is taking a day off work to be there. (I took a day off work to be there last time.) Nope! They are busy, she gave me 3 options (one for the next day) for days that she knew we couldn't make the 6 hour round trip as I had explained our situation. We will just go without the repair. Doubt the $19 finds its way back to us. Sadly, after your money is given, the customer service is lacking with this company. This wouldn't post on google, my mom tried. Avoid these guys!! I needed a repair on a high-end refrigerator and the first bad sign was he was late on a 3 hour time window. He quickly found the issue and explained that he would order the part and be back in a week. After two weeks I called the office and the receptionist (wife) seemed clueless to my request. After 3 weeks the part arrived and an appointment to install was made. Again, late on the 3 hour window but I was excited to finally have this repaired. The minute he opened the box with the part in it I knew it was incorrect. That unleashed excuse after excuse as to why he couldn't inspect every shipment he received as he was busy (this coming from what I understood to be an owner in the company as his last name was Ayers). At this point I contacted the manufacturer myself and had the correct part shipped here in 2 days. I never received any follow up from Ayers but with charging $85 just to show up gives them the profit margin they're comfortable with. These folks do service for Home Depot appliance warranties, and they were sent by my warranty provider to look at my washer. They didn't show up within the 3 hour window for the repair so we called and apparently the tech didn't get the order and came late. After running a load the tech left us with dripping wet clothes, a diagnosis of an off balanced load and an invoice that said all was working well. I tried to wash another load and the same thing happened, (washer not draining or spinning) so I contacted Aayre's again and one week later I received a phone call saying my washer part had come in. What part? I thought everything was working well according to them?! I asked Janelle the scheduler these questions and was told if I was going to question their service and be "suspicious" then she was going to refuse service! This was the worst experience I have ever had with a repair company, I am counting on Home Depot to make things right. Please stay away. read more

We had an Aayres repair man come out to look at our dryer and stove. To make a long story short , he suggested repairs that weren't really needed . We wound up paying $108 for the service call , and were given an estimate of $570 for repairs . We thought that was a bit much so we dug into the problems ourselves . Come to find out , the stove vent only had a cleaning scrubber stuck in it , and the dryer part was a simple fix totaling $34. Its ridiculous that they bid such a simple job so high for parts and labor. Will not be using their service again !!! read more

I had an issue with the ice maker in my fridge which was under warranty. I explained the exact problem (the flap that regulates ice flow was intermittently getting stuck). Shane came to the first appointment with a bag full of parts but none were the correct part. He said he needed to order a different part, which he did and came back for a second try. Still not the right part but after looking at the mechanism more closely, Shane determined that he could make a manual adjustment and all would be fine. So he did. It was not. He had emptied all the ice into the sink so he couldn't test the ice maker before he left but confidently told me my problem was fixed as he walked away. I called Aayers back the next day to let them know the problem was still unresolved and was told they would need to order another part. Finally the part arrived and Shane came back a 3rd time. Turns out, all he had ordered was a new receptacle (not a new flap, or motor or whatever controls the flap). He literally took out the old receptacle, popped in the new one (without rinsing it out which left bits of styrofoam to come out with the ice into my glass) and was gone in 5 minutes with another assurance that my problem was solved. It was not. When I called back within the hour to let him know I still had an issue, I received their voice mail and left a message. I waited a few days but no return call. Called again and left another message. No return call. Called again and spoke to a receptionist who assured me she would pass the message on. No return call. That was 3 weeks ago. I'm not sure if they don't know how to fix the problem or if they simply don't want to. Either way, it's extremely poor customer service. I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

Like the cable company they give you a three hour window when they could show up to look at washing machine, when asking if they could just give a one hour window to meet technician as it is extremely difficult to take three hours off work they suggested I seek someone else.
