Serious Customer Service Complaint…read more I visited La Luna Downtown to order a falafel sandwich, but unfortunately had a very uncomfortable experience. The employee asked me several times what I wanted, served the customer behind me first, and made me feel dismissed and unwelcome. After my order was finally taken, I was standing near the Wi-Fi sign when the employee accused me of looking at another customer. I explained that I was looking at the Wi-Fi sign and had not approached or bothered anyone. I am asking the owner/manager to review the security-camera footage, identify the employee involved, and investigate what happened. Customers deserve to be treated with basic courtesy, professionalism, and respect. I hope management takes this complaint seriously and addresses the situation appropriately. Very disappointing experience -- 1/5 stars.

It had a great blend of vegetables, herbs and spices including: peppers, tomato, lemon juice, mint, oregano, sumac, and a fantastic tangy salad dressing. I added the shish tawook kabok onto the salad to add extra protein and I really enjoyed the lemon flavour. The entire salad was bursting with flavour and a dish I would travel back to Hamilton to purchase. Would I go back? Absolutely!

Desert items were not good either, gulab jamuns were the hardest that we had. Area does not look that either, i saw lots of homeless folks hanging around the block.

Environment: standard for an Indian restaurant. It is a relatively small restaurant. Service: food came out within 15 minutes. Staff were friendly and allowed us to change our order without any trounle after we changed our mind about an item 5 minutes after we ordered it. They also provided a small complimentary appetizer at the beginning. Food: we ordered off the menu (not buffet) and the food overall was quite good. Good portion sizes as well. Two of the meat dishes were more than enough for 4 individuals. See pictures. The food also isn't as oily as in other restaurants. Overall I would recommend items off the menu at this restaurant and would likely come back with my family.

Our biggest concern was the inability to vary the spice level of the food, which most Indian restaurants do. I was told the food is not "child friendly", and was specifically told the spice level is "medium". Of course the butter chicken was mild but the aloo ghobi was far from medium. I can handle medium-hot, and this was almost too spicy for me. On top of this, the chana masala was watery, with a lot of filler ( we don't even know what was in it). We also got malai tikka-for $16 we barely got 2 chicken breasts (maybe 1 1/2). Finally, all the butter naan was burnt (and we ordered 6). When I called about the spice level, the employee kept reiterating that he had told me the food is not for children. There are many better places than this and the only reason I gave two stars was the food was ready at pickup time and it was hot (temperature wise!). I simply cannot recommend this place.

It did not live up to our expectations, however. I believe our mistake was choosing the Bombay royal platter (paired with garlic naan). Despite the restaurant serving just two tables at the time, the wait time for the dish was about 40 minutes. We were informed that the platter takes more time than other dishes, so our expectations were quite high. When it arrived, we found the meats to be dry, even with the addition of sauces and chutney. The seekh kebabs were particularly underwhelming. For $39 it was definitely not worth the price. I think that's on us. I should've gotten paneer instead. You live and learn, I guess.

The malai kofta on the other hand was a container FULL of sauce and 3 small pieces. Sad to say that we may have to look for another indian restaurant in the area. They also have raised their prices and no longer include naan or rice with entrees, which they always used to do Please return to the way you used to be!
