I had not backed up my computer in a few months which I normally do then all of a sudden I got corrupted files on the hard drive and long story short they were able to put in a new drive reinstall windows. The hard drive had to go out to secondary recovery and they actually recovered every single file and it's original format and state and I was absolutely impressed. I have to tell you the geek squad at the Best Buy in Rockaway Mall is just Superb and I actually got the technician was so good. The good folks who work here fix the hardest working tool in our house - our vacuum cleaners. We have 2 dogs and two hairy cats with wall to wall carpeting so you know we need a good, reliable vacuum to keep things under control. We actually have several vacuums because our house has two floors, a full basement, 3 car garage and lots of cars to keep clean. Plus we have a beach house that we rent and it has to be cleaned every Saturday in the narrow window between the time renters leave and new ones come in. Even the best vacuums have to be maintained, whether it's new vacuum cleaner bags or rubber belts for the rug cleaning brushes - heavy use requires regular maintenance. We have counted on the folks here to keep our vacuums running perfectly ever since we moved to Denville, many years ago. My favorite story is that once we brought in a bag less vacuum that we needed attention. The owner of the shop called and said that the vacuum was un repairable - parts not available from the manufacturer! Victoria was on vacation and I spoke to another sales associate who was now caught in between a rock and a hard place. I was given the option of waiting a week for a repair for the tub or two weeks to get a new one. I asked for a reasonable good-faith offer to cut the cost of the tub if we got it repaired, since I was now going to have bought a refurbished tub. The manager never got on the phone with me, which was a red light right away, but made the other sales associate shuttle back and forth between us. His offer? $100 off. It was insulting. The tub was $1000 and I was still going to have to wait. He couldn't be bothered to negotiate...not even so much as an offer of store credit. So we ordered a new tub. It took 3 weeks, not 2. They did nothing to expedite any of the process. I don't blame the sales associate, she was not the person who should have dealt with that. The bad business practice lies firmly with the manager who did not have the decency to pick up the phone and make a customer who had just given them several thousand dollars happy. Victoria, when she returned had to clean up the mess, and the new tub (and old one) arrived without a drain assembly. The plumber had to drive out to pick one up.
