In the rear of the store unloading a truck was a gentleman who asked if he could help. I showed him a photo of what I was looking for and he assisted in my search. Unfortunately there was nothing that matched. He introduced himself as Sean, a partner/owner and we talked about both being from Charlotte and how it's changed so much. He gave me some suggestions for other stores to check so that was very helpful. If you are looking for furniture, I would highly recommend you check this place out. They have a massive amount of floor space and a wide selection with excellent price points.

I was there 2 days ago for a $1000 purchase with a friend. Less than a week later here I am bringing someone else to your store.....you're welcome! Here's how they operate lots of tape measures laying around for you to figure things out yourself. You just come in pick out your stuff, and do not disturb the employees until you're ready to pay.... Sounds great right.... They have a nice selection but the service really sucks..

Everything here is basically handmade or painted, so it's unique and you won't walk into your neighbors house and find the same setup as the chain retail furniture places. I wasn't sure if I could haggle so I just found something sighing my price range. This place is so cozy it's like each section is a part of your home and you could totally see every single piece in your House. That's amazing. I've lived two minutes a way for 13 years and never took to patronizing the shops on Main more than once. Mainly because I assumed it was out of my price range. But guess what...it isn't and you get what you pay for. And quality costs and here I wouldn't mind. Definitely will return for more goodies. Oh and the sales lady was nice and inviting and very help

There were a couple of ladies circled in the back of the store engaged in conversation. Aside from this intimate circle, no one else was in the store. Also, it is a small store, so you absolutely can see when someone comes in. The cold shoulder led me to leave the store, and visit Kiki's Kottage (which is only a few doors down) where I was promptly and warmly greeted. Kiki's has beautiful pieces, and I purchased a gorgeous buffet there. I had a stellar customer service experience from start to finish at Kiki's. I was prepared to purchase items at Madison's, but too bad no one cared to acknowledge me as a customer whatsoever.

And so here's Flippin Jays who manages to get a truckload of chest freezers in an assortment of sizes. I wanted one and they wanted to sell one. The purchase process could have been smoother but I'm very forgiving here. Six feet of "social distancing" doesn't work well when you have a bunch of folks who want something that's in short supply. They did as well as they could under the circumstances and everyone who was there at the store when it opened got their purchase, though maybe not in the order they had originally queued up. That's a minor ding. And speaking of minor ding, this is "scratch and dent." My chest freezer was clearly used but it's operational, guaranteed for 90 days and I'm sure some "goo gone" will get rid of the marks on it. The folks did not want to be dealing with the public today. Definitely not a bunch of people who were about a minute away from an actual riot. But they did pretty well keeping things as organized as they could and selling what people wanted to buy They loaded it into my vehicle for me, which was awesome service. Hands down - has been the worst experience and I will NEVER do business with Queen City again…read more As a business owner myself, my husband and I chose to forgo the big box stores to purchase all new appliances and try to support a local CLT retailer. We planned to FULLY renovate our kitchen at the end of October, so consciously placed our appliance order with Queen City in July for all major appliances (fridge, cooktop, microwave, double ovens, and more). In October (the week our demo started) the store informed us that the warehouse in CLT dropped our cooktop and it would need to be re-ordered. There was never an apology or remorse for their own mistake. We are SIX WEEKS PAST that phone call and no appliance has ever been delivered. I have been extremely patient, but every week when I call for an update to this DAY there has never been an apology, or accountability for THEIR mistake. I have to chase someone down every week for any sort of information that they "might be able to find" in the system. My entire renovation is paused 'midway' ... they act as if this happens all the time and WE ARE BOTHERING THEM following up on the order we placed in July. Just abysmal customer service. Again, as a business owner myself I am completely disappointed with our experience and would NOT recommend them to anyone.

Told Robbie exactly what I was looking for and price point. Also gave him dimensions for the areas of the appliances. They had exactly what I needed in stock and was able to deliver the following business day. Visited the store on a Friday and appliances were delivered on Monday. I have the privilege of Charlie and Devin delivering and installing my appliances. They were very careful and precise on bringing in the appliances to the home. They installed the appliances and showed me how they worked. They also cleaned up after themselves, which was a bonus. Even offer to haul away my old washer/dryer for me even though it was not on the paperwork. I would refer Queen City Home Store if you are looking for appliances. They also have furniture that I will be looking at next my next time in the store. If you visit for appliances as for Robbie and if possible ask for Charlie and Devin to deliver your items!
