It is so bad that I now drive to Austin for my Volvo service needs which is really inconvenient. They really should train the ladies who answer the phones. They have an I don't care attitude and your needs are really of no concern to them. And good luck ever getting a phone call back when you leave a message. It's a shame because I live my Volvo and would probably want to but another one when it's time to trade this one in - but the service department is so bad that I probably will not purchase a Volvo again just because driving to Austin for service is not very convenient. Maybe they should go to Austin Volvo to see how a service department should run.

Part of the service was a tire rebalance, rotation and a 4-wheel alignment. Upon leaving the service department's parking lot my car was pulling severely hard to the left and was immediately undriveable!! By the time I had turned around and returned to Garlyn Shelton Volkswagen/ Volvo of Temple they had already closed as I had picked up the car at the end of the day. I had to drive the car with 4-way flashers on to another shop for repair. The other shop identified and repaired the issue. Garlyn Shelton Volkswagen/ Volvo of Temple simply never test drove the car after performing service and ultimately gave me a car that was unsafe to even drive out of their parking lot. I am filing this review because I believe Mac Haik has failed to stand behind the vehicle they sold…read moreme and has provided little assistance in resolving ongoing mechanical issues despite my purchase of an extended warranty. I purchased a 2013 Toyota Camry on November 28, 2025. Since then, I have experienced multiple repairs, unexpected expenses, and extended periods without my vehicle. On February 23, 2026, the battery and ABS warning lights came on, the steering became difficult to operate, and the vehicle had to be towed to the dealership. Mac Haik diagnosed a failed alternator and belt. Even with an extended warranty, I paid $318.33 out of pocket. On May 12, 2026, I returned because the A/C was not blowing cold air while idling. The dealership found the system low on refrigerant, replaced a leaking Schrader valve, recharged the system, and later determined the flow sensor in the A/C compressor was not actuating properly. I paid another $343.68 for this repair. Unfortunately, the A/C issue was not resolved. I have since been told that additional repairs are needed, but those repairs are not covered under my extended warranty. I now am expected to pay more than $200 out of pocket. My vehicle has also been at the dealership since June 3, 2026, for over a month. During that time, I contacted both the service and sales departments for assistance with a loaner vehicle, but neither was even pretended to help with that request. I expected more support resolving these concerns. I have lost confidence in both the dealership and the value of the warranty I purchased.
