do not buy a car or truck from this place. we bought both a car and truck at the same time within a month the car needed a new transmission there was no evidence of an issue during the test drive. the truck needed an entire engine repair which by the way was not covered under the warranty we pay for with the loop holes they have only certain peicies are covered repais over $1,100 please save ur time and money and do not buy from this location!! only picked 1 star bc you have to!!! read more

The experience was sub par. They did get my parents into a car but a big red flag that I saw was this: I was checking the oil in all the vehicles my parents wanted to test drive and I smelled the oil in a WHITE 2018 HONDA CRV and smelled a strong odor of gasoline. When I told the salesman about it his reply was "well I'm not a mechanic" and he just put it back on the lot. Didn't do anything to get it pulled from inventory or repaired. That is a bad sign of oil dilution and it's essentially a grenade. I hope no one buys the WHITE2018 HONDA CRV at the temple drive time. The other issue I had was the salesman input my mother SSN incorrectly. I mean she gave him the number twice and the fact he input it wrong caused a huge delay that made the whole process take about 5-6 hours when it could of been done in two and a half. The interest rates are very high expect to put a down payment even if they tell you you won't need one. But my main point I want to make is DO NOT BUY THE WHITE 2018 HONDA CRV. It's going to be a money pit and probably leave you in a worse place than where you started. I just want to save someone time, money, and headaches. If my parents weren't in such a bind to get a vehicle I would've walked out after I saw how they neglected to do anything about the ticking time bomb on their lot. This has got to be the worst dealership around. We were LIED to about the history on a vehicle, we asked if there was any reports of collisions and the "GM" told us "no reports no accidents, it's a good report" only to get there and find out it's been reported twice for accidents and a third wreck on the entire drivers side of the car. I understand there used vehicles but to lie just to get someone in the door is absolutely deplorable. Very bad business to say the least. The "gm" called and basically harassed and bullied us because we called corporate about THERE policy not the branch policy but drive times policy and somehow he took it as we complained against him and he proceeded to harass and bully my wife and I. Its all on video proof as well. This manager doesn't maintain his inventory the cars are absolutely filthy, they can't even do a simple rinse off before showing a vehicle. Basically they use the dirt to cover up and hide things on vehicles. They showed me the vehicle in a low dimly lit area and had to use my cell phone light to do a walk around. I had my dodge caliber for over 10 years it was a car bought for me after high school. So when it finally came time for a new car I tried to give this place a try. Apparently if you are on any maternity leave or coming back to work from maternity leave you can't get a car here. So don't even bother. I wasted so much of my time with this place. I make over $2,000 a month as a pharmacy technician with a 630 credit score with $1,100 cash in my pocket for them and for some reason they couldn't approve my paystubs? It took them 3 hours to tell me this on the first day there. I was told what my downpayment and chose my car and everything. At first they wanted proof I wasn't on maternity leave anymore and proof that I had returned to work. So the next day day 2 I had to drive to work and get my clock in and clock out paperwork. I brought that to DriveTime at 10:00am and was there until like 3:00pm to be told I couldn't get the car. That they needed to make sure I was full time even though my MANAGER spoke with them and confirmed my hours. They made my first time buying a car experience a NIGHTMARE! I'll never go to a DriveTime again was my first and last time. So I went to a Honda Dealership and the process was super smooth. Literally was there for 3 hours and drove off with a new car. Which is how the process should be. Mind you I HAD BROUGHT ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTATION WITH ME. read more

I purchased a vehicle on November 4, 2021 less than 2 weeks later I started having transmission problems took it to the repair shop and they noticed major water damage and the warranty company is saying the repairs are to high. Cars are way over priced. I'm paying 18k for a car worth less than half of that. But for someone like me who has bad credit and a low down its a decent way to raise my credit a or enough to fix things and I have a car. So it's a price I have to pay. Ok so as a consumer, I wanted to be the first to tell the truth about my Drivetime experience. My advise to you as a fellow consumer is to stay far away from this dealership, specifically Temple, Texas. Like you all have probably done so far is apply for approval. Once you do that, they give you an awesome down payment of around $500.00. THIS MY FRIENDS is complete false advertising. Next, you will receive a call from Arizona where they pull you in (Please visit the dealership and start test driving as you are approved). I asked are you positive on the down payment? They said yes we stand behind what down you were told. I was at this point so excited. But like you I checked the reviews, and said to myself maybe I don't need to waste my time actually going to the dealership just yet. I had a GUT FEELING, there was a catch. SO the catch is if you want a piece of junk car you can probably get one with the quoted down. However, if it considered a drive time select car, you will pay get this over $5000.00 down. This is what I was quoted after talking to the dealership. $5000.00 down on a used over 30,000 mile car. Outrageous? You bet it is. SO don't fall for the down payment and the TV advertisement. That my friends is a farce and is only they propaganda to get you to the door. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED STAY FAR FAR AWAY. If you what to put $5000.00 down on a car go get a new one with 0 miles. No one likes to waste their time so i called first and asked some questions. I was wondering how my income would be calculated if i work for uber and lyft because i get a lot of cash tips. He said the bank needs to see a paper trail of all income so i said i deposit my tips into my bank account so would that work he said yes. So i had my appt today at 10. Took 45 mins to get their and 45 mins to do the paperwork. He said with my uber and lyft earnings it was not enough i said you did not include my tip deposits he said the bank wont look at that because i cant prove where it came from. So if i get cash tips i cant attach a source it just shows up as a cash deposit. Most ridiculous thing i ever heard of. So a waitress cant claim her tips even if she does make 3.00dollars an hour?? Because she cant prove where it came from. Come on really? I am just upset i wasted a couple hours of my day when the guy on the phone could of just told me that my tips could not be added as income then i would not of made the drive for nothing.
