I visited Perlman's Carmel Mountain Ranch clinic in hopes that they would correct the prescription…read moredrug medication refills that were screwed-up by Perlman's Del Mar clinic. After multiple MyChart messages as well as telephone calls lasting almost two hours with personnel at the Del Mar clinic, I had very little confidence in Perlman correcting this situation - SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY WERE COMPLETELY UNWILLING TO DO SO. Essentially, the Del Mar clinic personnel were useless, uncooperative, incompetent, arrogant and dishonest - lying to me multiple times. Furthermore, the Del Mar clinic support staff sadly have no concept whatsoever of how to provide an acceptable level of "customer service". To make matters worse, Brissa A. specifically wouldn't enable me to escalate matters to the person in charge of the Del Mar clinic for resolution and provided me with excuse after excuse of why she wouldn't help me, instead of telling me how she could help me. If Perlman's Del Mar clinic can't get something as simple as prescription drug medication refills correct, why would anyone trust them to get more critical matters correct? Fortunately, right from the start, my experience with Perlman's Carmel Mountain Ranch clinic personnel was AWESOME! I had a much more favorable customer experience with the Carmel Mountain Ranch clinic than what I had to endure with the Del Mar clinic. Everyone at Perlman's Carmel Mountain Ranch clinic were helpful, caring, honest and competent. The personnel in the Carmel Mountain Ranch clinic are the embodiment of "customer service". They were able to successfully correct the issues with my prescription drug medication refills almost immediately. I highly recommend Perlman's Carmel Mountain Ranch clinic and discourage anyone from interacting with Perlman's Del Mar clinic. In addition, I would like to specifically acknowledge the extraordinary efforts of Nurse Practitioner Jackie Labonte with the Carmel Mountain Ranch clinic. Conversely, Brissa A. of the Del Mar clinic should be fired and seek a different vocation that does not encompass customer interaction, since she is severely lacking that skillset.

We came in for a well visit for our daughter and discussed a few items with our doctor one of which was stomach issues which she was having for a few weeks to that point. Since this was a large concern of ours we asked for a CAT scan just to make sure everything is okay. Again this may be overboard possibly but we just want to make sure nothing major is going on. The doctor deterred our concern and said it will likely go away and the CAT scan isn't necessary. Well it's been over a month since that visit and our daughter is still complaining about her stomach. I call in to the office to get a referral at this point and what does the doctor say. We need to come in for another appointment and not only that but the representative said the stomach issues weren't even noted in her medical records. Im a business owner myself and to me this seems like a bit of a cash grab considering they're requiring another visit to discuss something we've already talked about (though apparently we didn't?? Hmm). One other cash grab item that disturbed me last visit was a cholesterol scan they 'recommended' but no one told us the results until we asked?? Again I just don't like the professionalism and not sure i understand the motives. Is it actually my kids health or is it what's best to benefit the corporation?

I'd sit there like a dummy, twiddling my thumbs. During my last visit, after another hour of waiting, I decided to open the door and step out to look for anyone who could give me an update. When I did, I ran into Dr. Hodgkin. I told him that I went to look for somebody since I was left for an hour in the room, and his response was, why would you do that? No apology for the delay. He then said annoyingly for me to go back into the room so that he could exam me. The quality and attitude of care is lacking. Maybe it depends on the day, but I don't have another hour to throw away to find out.
