I just happened on this review while browsing and had to stop.
I am writing this review because I cannot sit by and watch a good doctor be slandered, even if I am currently in a regulatory difference of opinions with his facility's administration.
I am a patient at Azusa Dialysis. I am currently filing formal grievances against this facility for serious administrative failures and documentation errors. I am his harshest critic when it comes to how the business is run.
But I am seeing reviews here attacking Dr. Jamal's medical skill, and those are simply not true.
I have been a chronic patient for 10 years. I have seen many doctors. Clinically, Dr. Jamal is in the top 1% of nephrologists. He is brilliant, attentive, and deeply caring at the bedside. He has gone further for me when other doctors gave up. He is a good man who genuinely cares for his patients.
There is a massive difference between the Administrator (who has endangered my transplant) and the Physician (who I trust with my life). The facility has major administrative problems that I am actively attempting to rectify for my own safety. But do not confuse a broken front office with an incompetent doctor. Dr. Jamal the physician is one of the best.
Even if I view administrative practices as dangerous, which they are to me, I cannot sit and watch him slandered in a way I know untrue even if it would benefit me.
In essence: Dr. Jamal is a complicated man with many strengths and faults. But he is a good man, a great doctor and a hard worker. I just wish that translated to the administration front. read more
