Our transmission job was handled quickly and and affordably from quote to finish, they even diagnosed and fixed a separate issue free of labor! I started having bad car trouble so while looking around to see where to take my car I seen that aamco was under new management and seen they where doing free check engine light service so gave it a shot. When I walked in I was greeted by the manager Gary he was very friendly and knowlegable so within a few minutes knew I made the right choice. I didn't have much money so he was willing to go above and beyond to help me out with whatever he could at the moment. To me it said a lot about this company considering I've never been here. I felt more like family than a regular customer now I'm happy car is fixed and they have gained a customer for life but without a doubt will reccomend these guys to all my friends and family thanks again Gary and all the guys at aamco for turning a bad car trouble experience into a great one read more

Got my oil change done for the first time at AAmco. Most of the time I worry about going to a new mechanic but this company was very friendly and only recommended what I needed for my car. In no way did I feel like I was being manipulated or tricked into getting something done on my car that was unnecessary. That is a feeling you rarely get anywhere. 5 stars for AAMCO!! read more

Ron and his associates will over charge you while providing horrible workmanship. I had them simply inspect my transmission and when I got it home after I decided to do my own repairs since they wanted thousands of dollars over what the repairs would have cost at any other shop. I found loose bolts through out everything they touched! Do not go here!!! read more

I took my car in to AAMCO and had a great experience. As of Jan 1 2013 they are under new management, and I can really tell that their team is focusing on customer service. They worked with my budget, called me as soon as there was an update and were great to work with. I recommend avoiding this shop. They are incompetent working on Ford 4r100 transmissions. My truck had a non functioning coast clutch and no 2nd gear and they said nothing was wrong. Never, never again. They changed the trans fluid and sent me on my way. Unbelievable! read more

If I could write a review without providing stars, I would. All members here have no integrity. From owner Gary to Johanna at the front desk. This Aamco is a nightmare shop and is the worst ever. I took my car for a transmission repair and they lost my keys after giving me the run around for nearly 2 weeks. I was told it would take 3 days to repair my car at most. A week and half later, still no car. Was told I would be supplied a rental car, didn't happen. 12 days later I received a call saying my car was ready. When I went to pick up my car, my keys were missing. Long story short, my car stayed in the shop an extra 3 days because they couldn't find the keys and eventually had to get them replaced. I returned my car for the same repair issue because it wasn't fixed the first time and I arrived at 8am and was told I'll have my car back before 12pm. Didn't happen. Kept calling and then 4:45pm was told it wouldn't be ready until the following day. My car was in the shop 27 hours just for the transmission pan. When I contacted the owner, he stated that he wasn't there so pretty much just go with what Johanna said and he wouldn't provide transportation. This is a horrible business. They are not honest and do not work in a timely fashion. I am stuck having to go back to them because my warranty is under them. I am currently looking into ways to notify the public about this horrible Aamco and their employees. The owner doesn't seem to care about its customers either. Just avoid this place. read more

Not only is AAMCO well known in the Antelope Valley for their Transmission, they also provide service that goes above and beyond. Terrible service! They Tried to sell me on a remanufactured transmission as the only option. $5000 + I asked if there were any other options of which they said they'd look into it. They did not call me back the following day as promised and when I did speak with them they made excuses and tried to sell me on a used transmission that was almost as much as the previous offers, just as old as my current one and with no warranty. Clearly Aamco makes a living off the backs of unsuspecting hard working customers. I will never, ever consider using them again. I went to Leon's Transmission in Reseda. I've been to this location multiple times from just a simple oil change to a transmission problem. They gave me fare quotes and got my car run smoothly in a timely manner. Shop around before you commit to the repair order. They are not the cheapest but also not the most expensive one out there. read more

Horrible Shop!!!! SCAM ALERT!!!!! Buyer BEWARE!!!!! My Car has been there for Service since August 2016!!! Shop has been unable to repair. Gary the New Manager is easy guy to talk to and seems empathetic however he and Current Owners blame the Previous owners for faulty service. I paid $3300 dollars for repairs (financed through AAMCO) I had to take them to court. Court agreed with me and Said refund the money and give back the car!!! They agreed to honor previous owners repair( What good is the AAMCO Warranty?) I guess car needs to be fixed first before warranty can be invoked!! AAmco customer relations representative Mike Pecola suggested they refund my money since they are unable to complete repair. They now want to Appeal the Courts verdict!! Meanwhile I'm still without my car or my $3300 dollars!!! Just refund my money and return my car so that I can get a reputable shop to repair it. This place is awesome!! Worth every penny. Read below if you want a testimony to how great this place is. Customer Service was 100% amazing. I first contacted AAMCO and inquired about some pricing over the phone. Jackie (who answered) was very informative and kind. Her professionalism combined with the yelp reviews are what made me take a trip to down to their shop. Once I arrived I was greeted by none other than.... Jackie! She was once again nothing but professional, and the shop was very nice on the interior as well as the exterior. That's when I had the pleasure of talking with Joanne the Service Advisor. Have you ever been to a repair or service center that has tried to up sale, up sale, up sale? Or how about one that tries to cram 1,000's of dollar worth of repairs down your throat? Let me tell you I have, and AAMCO is not one of them. Joanne recommended some minor additional work be done to my vehicle but let me stress, RECOMMENDED! She was not pushy by any means. If you have ever had a place service your vehicle in the AV you will understand what I'm talking about. I returned later to pick up my vehicle after getting a phone call from Joanne letting me know it was time. That is when I met Ben the owner. What a nice guy! When the owner is out and about talking with customers it's always a good sign. All in all this place made me feel like family. Just an all around good experience was had with the whole team over at Ben's AAMCO. Additionally, I want to thank the techs that did the labor on my car, I didn't get a chance to meet them but I am positive they are just as great. I was very disappointed. I went there as they are a AAA rated repair shop. We had to leave the car all day, was told they would call us - they never did. We called them just before closing and went to pick up the car only to be told they didn't have any idea what the issue was and that they would have to take the transmission apart to find out! $700 - very hard sell to get this done. No thanks! We went somewhere else to find out all it needed was a trans flush! Less than $200 - be careful of these guys! read more

Wow lets start off by saying these guys are the best by far. They make you feel like family and not just another walking dollar sign. I tried going to wayne and daves and felt like i was being taken advantage on the spot. They provided a complimetary ride home and back and kept me posted every step of the way. They are under new management the manager their Gary is amazing very trustworthy and honest hes the type to only fix what is needed and not the type to jerk my chain and trick me to fixing somthing i diddnt need to be fixed. He provided a free check engine visual inspection and test drive service. He made me feel not obligated to get the work done their on the spot like other places would. So solely based on the customer service and great attitude i decided to fix my car their so it was done in a fast and timely manner i bet wayne and daves are kicking themselves in the butt now.lol please guys give them a shot check them out you wont regret it. Brought a friends car in for check engine light. Was first told $55 to pull the codes. When codes came in I was told it would be $310 in order to further isolate the 3 codes. I was then told by the owner I would have to spend the $365 ($55 + $310) and then they would tell me the "final" price for the repairs. I paid the $55 dollars and got the heck out of there for a second opinion. Another very reputable local car repair charged me $118 to diagnose which included up to 2 hours labor if I agreed with the total repair price and had them perform the repairs. AAMCO manager was very nice and this AAMCO probably does great work but they are clearly taking advantage of gullible customers and are overcharging for labor. Auto repair shops have a book which places time limits on labor for a certain job. It appears, instead of actual, this AAMCO is automatically charging for the full time limit. Very dissatisfied with the service provided. Ben is very personable, but has little knowledge or practical experience with Honda Civics (although he talks like he does). Brought the car in for an oil leak, he repaired it improperly; after getting it checked out, it turned out that he had also misdiagnosed the problem in the first place. (Details provided below.) Long story short, we now have to get another repair on an area behind the first repair, paying twice for something that should have been taken care of the first time. Mechanic at the dealership was very understanding; he said that it would be an easy thing to mix up "if you didn't know what you were looking at." The details: Went in for an oil leak, we were told after the diagnostic that the oil pan needed a gasket. The car came from the manufacturer with sealant, not a gasket, but we deferred to Ben as the "expert" (mistake). Picked up the car, paid a bill larger than our rent, thought all was well. Took the car to the dealership for a routine maintenance check less than two weeks later, they informed us there was oil leaking from the pan, most likely because of the gasket. Took it back to Aamco, informed Ben of the problem, asked whether we should put UV dye in the engine oil, as recommended by the dealership, to determine where the leak was coming from, Ben said no, he didn't need to do that (mistake). Ben took me back to visually inspect the leak (at his insistence) and even to my untrained eye, there was oil all over the edge of the pan (and gasket). He finished repairing his repair, I take it into the dealer the next day to be inspected, and there is STILL an oil leak. It's not from the oil pan, they tell me, it's from the oil pump, above it. Apparently it's easy to mistake one for the other **if you don't know what to look for.** The repair that actually needs to happen will require the removal of the oil pan, negating all of the work Ben did on the car. Oh, and the dealership is charging us less-- for a more complicated job. Moral of the story, Aamco does not know what to do with Honda Civics. If you'd like to try your luck with a different make, well, it's your money. read more

Please do NOT patronize this business! I was very disappointed in this business. In Jan 2013, they had my car for a month and had to replace the transmission 3 times before they actually got it to run properly. The mechanic himself told me that the owner, Ben, wanted to replace bad parts in the car on the 3rd attempt and the mechanic told him not to. I asked for compensation and an extended warranty and the owner could NOT accommodate me. This only implies that he has no trust in the quality of his work. Also, after having a month to do more research, I found out that I was overcharged by at least $1000. I contacted the BBB and the BAR and both are investigating this shop. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I brought my car to get diagnosed and they said it would take 1-2 hours. I didn't receive a call so I decided to call after three hours and they said they would let me know in 10 minutes. I called back after waiting thirty minutes for them to return my call so I went in because it was already after 5 and that is there closing time. The guy then told me he wouldn't give me my car because it was "unsafe" and kept my car overnight. After all of this he still was unable to tell me what was wrong with my car. read more

The car never ran the way it should and it took another mechanic to fix and get my warranty to repair my car the right way. Had a very elusive braking problem with an old RV and I just couldn't afford the time or hassle to fix it myself. I took it to this shop and they were very courteous and helpful, they did a good investigation of the problem and fixed it in a timely manner.
