You can never go wrong with Hudson House! I love coming here for a girls night or for happy hour…read more Everything is always phenomenal, from the service to the food. I've had the burger, side lobster mac and cheese, and the Hudson salad here, both of which were delicious. Their cocktails are always a hit, too. I love their French 75 and Lemon Drop martini. Huge plus that their martinis are half off during happy hour. The last time I visited, I arrived around 45 minutes after the rest of the party. Our server immediately noticed and greeted me, showing how attentive they are. The food also came out pretty quickly. The first time I came here though, they were a bit stingy to seat us at a booth during happy hour, but asides from that one experience, I have no complaints about this location. There's a decently sized parking lot available (though it can fill up), along with street parking. Overall, I highly recommend visiting Hudson House, especially at the FW location!

The parking situation can get a little dicey, but I have lucked up both times. As for the staff and service, they are just ok. Not a standout experience, but not necessarily bad either. The food is good, and I see why the lobster rolls are one of their most popular items. The restaurant itself is very clean and a great spot for a brunch date or happy hour. If you're looking for a solid place to grab a meal with friends or family, Hudson House is a good place to start.

Because of other reviews, I went ahead and got on their website and made reservation when we were on our way. I wasn't asked if we had reservation and unsure how important it was but better safe than sorry. They did get busier as it got later of course. The bar was full with many drinking martinis already. They serve brunch on weekends and have adjoining cocktail menu. Several tables had the beignets (4 for $7) which were so puffy and looked delicious. I got the breakfast toastie which was really big & delicious. We could have split one! The hashbrowns were heavy seasoned to my preference but were very good, My Mom got the Corned Beef Hash with poached eggs, hash browns, & a biscuit. The corned beef mixture was extremely salty but good when mixed together with hashbrowns & eggs. The biscuit was delicious! Will not order again We saw others enjoying toasties, cheesey grits, and massive crawfish pie. We look forward to going back!

The oldest sub shop in Texas is not a title you stumble into, and one visit makes it clear they've earned it. First, the parking situation, because someone has to say it. The spots up front are scarce and competitive. Don't give up, there's additional parking in the back with its own entrance. File that away before you go, or you'll spend ten minutes circling a strip that has not gotten larger since the 1970s. And speaking of the 1970s, the interior leans fully into its vintage identity. Small, dark, and unapologetically retro, it feels like a sub shop that missed the memo on modern restaurant design and decided it didn't care. Honestly, respect. Now, the subs. Galligaskin's cuts their own meat and cheese in house and bakes their rolls fresh daily, which is the kind of thing that sounds like marketing until you take a bite and realize it actually matters. The roast beef and cheese, loaded with toppings, is a proper sandwich. The house-made Galli Oil and pickled pepper finish that goes on every sub is the secret weapon - not spicy, just deeply flavorful, the thing that makes each bite a little better than the last. We also tried the burger, which came as a genuine surprise. A sub shop doing a burger well feels like it shouldn't work, but here we are, soft bun, flavorful patty, no notes. For sides, the Tater Tots are the undisputed champion of the table. Crispy shell, fluffy interior, the ideal tot. The fried okra was a strong runner-up, well breaded and served with ranch. The French fries, however, were a swing and a miss. They looked the part, golden, fresh cut, promising - and then arrived soggy. A limp fry is a tragedy in any zip code, and these were no exception. No one wants a sad potato. Order the tots. Skip the fries. You've been warned. Galligaskin's in the real deal, a Fort Worth original that's still earning its reputation one fresh-baked roll at a time. One last night: they're closed on Sundays, so plan accordingly. A cruel fact to discover in the parking lot.

This pains me.... I…read morehave been going to GN for quite some time. And for the majority of that time....great staff...great service....great energy. tonight really irritated me in a way that I can firmly say, I won't be going back. Now what I'm about to say is not about ego or entitlement . I know me. I know what I do for my bar staff. My tips are generous! Unquestioned. Not because I'm a big spender but I know the struggle and hard times bartenders and wait staff go through during a shift of drunks. The first incident was standing at the bar about to order and a person from behind shouts out his order and the bartender makes it while seeing I'm standing there waiting to order. My options are to (A) be a jerk and yell "hey!! I was here first!!!" or "just take it and move on"... I did the last one. So when it's closing time and I tell the bartender, I like one more and close, then you confirm with me "Glenn you want 1 more and close?" I say "yes" and you tab me out and immediately start dealing with your other customers and not making my drink.... So I say after 5mins of being ignored " did you get my drink on that tab out?" You tell me you didn't and try to charge me for another drink.... I'm quite certain you charged me for that drink on my tab-out but just forgot and started serving your other customers forgetting about me. It's easier to just avoid the argument to not look like an ass over a drink so I left. Horny Toads....Dirty Water Saloon...even Star Light Lounge have never treated me like this. So instead of causing a scene and asking for my bill to be checked, it's easier to talk my hard earned dollars elsewhere to be appreciated. Peace.....

It's a breakfast spot with…read morea loyal following, a small footprint, and a wait that will test your commitment to eggs. Spoiler: it's worth it, with a few asterisks. First, the logistics. The space is cozy, which is a polite way of saying it is not built for large groups or people who like personal space. The wait can be substantial, and the indoor holding area is limited, if the weather is doing something dramatic, you'll want to know that before you commit. The real secret, which I discovered the hard way, is that you can join the waitlist online before you even leave the house. Life-changing information that arrived too late for us. Learn from my mistakes. Once seated, the coffee is hot, the iced tea is fresh, a surprisingly rare achievement at breakfast hours, and the menu has enough options to cause genuine decision paralysis. We ordered two Traditional Breakfasts, both over easy eggs, both crispy bacon. One arrived cooked to absolute perfection, eggs exactly as requested, bacon doing exactly what bacon is supposed to do. The other arrived with eggs cooked firmly over hard. Same table, same order, same server. How does this happen? It is one of breakfast's great unsolved mysteries. The breakfast potatoes, meanwhile, showed promise, well seasoned and flavorful, but arrived in a mixed state of doneness that required careful excavation to find the fully cooked ones. It was less of a side dish and more of an archaeological dig. The third order, the Tri-Fecta, came with a multigrain pancake the size of a small continent, which almost made up for the potato situation. And then there was the Million Dollar Bacon. We didn't order it. The table next to us did. I watched it arrive and I am still not over it. Order the Million Dollar Bacon. Do not make my mistake. Do not be me. First Watch is a solid breakfast spot with real upside, get on the waitlist before you leave home, order the bacon, and maybe double-check your eggs before your server walks away.

She took our drink orders, two unsweetened iced teas, and asked if we had any questions about the menu. We told her no, we were regulars. While Alice was still at our table, we went ahead and ordered. Today, we'd be sharing an order of chicken fajitas with all the fixin's. Fajitas sounded really good. After a short wait, Alice was back with our sizzling fajitas. When I saw the platter, I knew I'd enjoy them; there were lots and lots of caramelized onions. The fajitas were really good.
