The installation technician was courteous, friendly and wasted no time completing the installation and then thoroughly explained how to maintain and operate the Vivint system. An awesome experience! The monthly price, which pays for the equipment and the monitoring fee, was slightly higher than other systems ( I compared it to ADT ) but some of the selling features were 1) The Vivint system works over cellular so a loss of power does not effect it like losing WiFi would and 2) the system included "panic" pendants in case one of us was unable to communicate a medical emergency such as can occur if we have a stroke. Both of us have suffered strokes in the past couple of years and this was a BIG consideration when purchasing a monitoring system and finally, 3) the price that we pay each month is locked in for 60 months, as compared with 36 months with ADT.

Oh, and they forced me to purchase the more expensive console despite them knowing it wouldn't ring when the doorbell is pressed, without them disclosing that issue. Complete and utter incompetence, joke of a company. Furthermore, they also have a nasty reputation of treating their third party companies who actually install their crappy products with zero care or appreciation. Just read their reviews..nightmare situations of their third party installers nearly dying because of the way their systems are set up, and they refuse to cover any medical bills or provide insurance, and will not pay for home damage/repair bills because of faults within their systems - just a downright evil company to work with.
