If you're lucky enough to secure one of the handful of tables at the front, you'll enjoy a pleasant view of the lake. Everyone else gets more of a rumour that a lake exists somewhere beyond the diners in front of them. The food, meanwhile, achieves something quite unique: there is almost nothing remarkable about it. That's a difficult feat at these prices. The nachos were particularly memorable, although not for the right reasons. For £18, we were served what tasted like bagged tortilla chips that had long since lost any interest in being crisp, topped with a sparse drizzle of electric-yellow cheese. I've genuinely had better chips and salsa at Chili's. At a country fair I'd expect something similar and leave perfectly content. Here, it simply felt painful. Especially for the price. The salad's "raspberry" dressing was an extraordinary shade of fluorescent red, somewhere between 1970s sweet-and-sour sauce and something used to demonstrate acids and alkalis in a school science lesson. Its consistency was equally impressive. It didn't coat the lettuce so much as recoil from it, preferring instead to cling stubbornly to itself in glossy crimson blobs. I was left wondering whether it contained more stabilisers than raspberries. Nearly $400 for seven people is a bold ask for food this ordinary. It takes remarkable confidence to charge premium prices for meals that feel so resolutely average. The staff deserve genuine credit, although service was definitely slow They're doing their best. Unfortunately, they can only serve what's coming out of the kitchen. So not so much their fault. Overall way overpriced and super sub par quality of every single item we ordered.

My husband and I both had the ayce combo and added a cup of clam chowder soup. DELICIOUS! Serving size is large, and we're happily stuffed without additional servings. Definitely a no frills kind of place...kinda makes you feel like you're on a vacation! ALL the servers, bartenders and the host were super friendly and hard working, even when they were packed and pressured. Forgot to mention we drove 1 hour to get there, and an hour home in the pouring rain, but it was worth it. Loved Cullom Knoll, we will be back!

The reason for this is our last two visits, Judging my mother for what she ordered and gossiping with drunks at the bar loudly enough that we can hear is absurdly rude. Sorry its a slow night but maybe don't judge a vegetarian for not loving bacon and mocking them to other customers. Its just a bad showing. We come here often, so to be treated like that is heartbreaking. Now, my mom can't be certain they haven't been gossiping about her pretty simple order, a wrap with no meat, the entire time. Also just turn off the depressing news on the tv's its obnoxious when we are sitting down and just trying to have a good time. Put on a fun tv show, the game, something else.
