The scope of the project grew as we realized that we needed more things done in the house before we could move in, which included: installing several interior and exterior doors, removing and reinstalling a built-in set of drawers, installing and fixing flooring, removing a built-in wet bar in the basement, doing some work in a bathroom so we could put in a new vanity and bathtub, removing a wall between two rooms so one could be turned into a walk-in closet, making a small alcove into a closet, stripping down a door to be refinished, making shelf supports for our long pantry shelves so they don't bow from the weight, and helping fix a basement leak that was due to the prior owner not properly fastening his deck to the foundation. I am sure there some things I am forgetting, but the bottom line is that Patrick and Chris were always up to doing what we needed done. They were on time, professional, friendly and easy to work with. Patrick was great about providing quotes for all of the work, and had very reasonable prices. In addition, when I needed a contractor for something that he couldn't do, he knew someone in the area he could recommend, and those recommendations (of which there were several for: roofing, plumbing and tile work) worked out great. Do not trust Rod. We paid for the permit, but he did not complete the permit requirements until…read moreweeks after the job, and we had to appear at the county, and WE were fined $190. He showed us a stair on a former customer's wall, we agreed we wanted the stair, but the stair was not installed. When asked, Rod said 'I didn't charge you for the stair', another lie. His equipment broke the bark on a swamp oak and a maple tree. The worst of it was that he ruined two lawns. There is a 15' X 40' patch on TWO yards where the grass was destroyed. He dumped dirt and grass seed on both as a remedy, but now they are huge weed patches because he mashed down the underlying ground. We had to pay more than $2,000 for another contractor for more dirt and seed. Do not trust Rod with your property. No scruples. The attached shows what our lawn looks like two months after Rod ruined it. This was all solid grass like the areas on either side.

Worked without permit, County almost red tagged home. Permit was for topcoat, which you would think if a professional contracter offered it to you, he would tell you a permit was needed and it would be in the price for that additional service. 9 months later, the seawall blew out from 11 inches to 4 feet. Called him out to see what happened and told me he could fix it for 170% of the original repair he did that failed in that short time.
