We are forever grateful with Pete's professional and honest advice throughout the project. It is also worth mentioning that even our bank was impressed with Pete's responsiveness to their calls and queries. They said, "it's always a good sign when you can talk directly to the owner and not given the runaround". Our experience was a little unique since part of our build timeline was in the beginning of the pandemic, when everything shutdown except for the essential workers. Despite the challenges, Scholl construction was able to complete the project as scheduled without compromising the safety of the tradespeople. As a healthcare worker, I admired Pete's dedication to ensure everyone's health and safety. Besides Scholl construction's trustworthiness and reliability, their workmanship is topnotch! We were in the market to have our old and cracked tub replaced…read more We started off by contacting some of the places that are quick to pop up when you start googling search terms like "tub replacement". Quotes were so far out in left field that we thought we were just going to have to deal with the garbage, cracked tub we had or enlist some friends and hopefully pool together enough know-how to do it ourselves. Then, one night while in Menards, we just happened to see Joe's business as one of the recommended installers over by the plumbing/tub area. Boy, are we happy we did! For starters, Joe treats you like family. He listens to you, pays attention to what you can and can't afford and talks to you like a regular person. He communicates with you every step of the way and lets you know if something is changing. In the end, we basically wound up with a whole bathroom remodel for about the same (if not less) than what the other companies were quoting for JUST a tub replacement. Joe only uses the best of the best when he brings people in to your home to perform services. The flexibility and respect won't be soon forgotten. So many contractors out there talk to people as if they're just complete idiots. Joe educates, suggests and works to make you comfortable and confident in what you're doing. I kid you not, I felt like I was dealing with a family member throughout the entirety of the project. And let's not forget speed! Joe knew that we have a small 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom house and that we couldn't be without a working bathroom for days on end. He made sure that the amount of time without vital bathroom elements was kept to an absolute minimum. There's a reason why people like Joe have success in business for several decades like he has -- because they take pride in their work and base everything they do on honesty and integrity. For as long as he's in business, he'll be the first call we make when a project at our home crops up.

Dennis and Michelle's experience in kitchen remodeling was evident as they worked with us to design our dream kitchen. We were provided a detailed scope of work, a calendar that outlined when each piece of the project would be completed with corresponding payments due as the project progressed. The plumbers, carpenters, and electricians were all professional and respectful of our time and our home. Each cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day's work. The Amish handcrafted cabinetry allowed for custom cabinets that fit our space. No cookie cutter cabinets here! Shortly after the cabinets were installed, we noted a small nick on a drawer face which was quickly replaced. We have additional remodeling planned and will definitely use Boone Creek again.

Weather was an issue but what was more of an issue was that he worked alone and talked on his phone more than he seemed to work. Many people were commenting on how slow he was working. The rot under the siding was fixed well, the stairs were done in the back well, stairs in front my husband felt the support was suspect (means 4x4s were cut short - he made up some excuse that this was his intent) and door window was damaged and cracked. We have tried to contact him on multiple occasions, even going so far as forgetting all the support issues but wanted our door window repaired or replaced. He has ghosted us!! This is unacceptable. We paid him to do a job and didn't hold back any money (our mistake - now he has no reason to call us back). So now our only option is to hire a lawyer to get our door window repaired or replaced because at this point that's all we care about. We didn't pay all that money to have a door that doesn't function properly!
