CJ and Rachel were hospitable, competent, and patient with me transferring title and registration to my son. I highly recommend!!

Walked in to get set up with AAA car insurance in Virginia after moving here from California. There weren't any in-person agents available to see me, so the receptionist asked me to talk to an agent on the phone, gave me some scrap paper, and set me down in a random empty seat to talk to an agent on the phone. Unusual, but I went with it. I did end up getting a policy that was a decent price through Progressive (AAA partners with a number of other insurances in the area to give you the best deal), but my representative ended up adding my card to someone else's policy because she accidentally had their window open while taking my card information, which has ended up in $410.20 of excessive charges on my card, $167 of which has been refunded as soon as the OTHER customer realized the mistake, not the agent! The agent then insisted the issue is fixed, and then the rest hit me as re-occurring charges which is now supposedly fixed again but the refund is now stuck in limbo for a month while Progressive tries to send me a check via snail mail!... Totally unacceptable that they'd put my card info in someone else's account and then take so long to get the money back to me. Highly disappointed in my experience here. read more

Did you know AAA members can use the notary services! I've been a AAA member since 2009 and have rarely used my benefits as I'd considered it more like insurance for "when" I needed the car towed or "when" I leave the lights on and need a jumpstart. I'd never considered using there travel services until my husband suggested it as an alternative to going to the post office for a new passport photograph. I went into the AAA office with 4 tasks and a short timeline: - Get Passport Photos (the local post office stops photographs at 2PM) - Update my membership to my married name - Notarize a name change document - Get a TripTik for upcoming travel to the far reaches of British Columbia The best part about my experience is that I was able to have the same person help me with all the tasks. The second best part was I didn't have to wait long (less than 30min from arrival to out the door) for all tasks to be checked off my to-do list. Based on my experience, I'd be willing to consider using AAA for travel services more broadly. The one statement that proved to me AAA was no longer "my parents" AAA was when then said, "well, sometimes you find a better deal on lodging using AirBnB!" Can you imagine? The old diamond system still has some value, but it was a welcome sound to hear that AAA understood the direction of more technically savy travelers. read more

Have used this service for many years. So obtained their RV Roadside Service which covers ourselves as well as our vehicles and RV. But we were never told they do not provide battery replacement for our 2004 Cadillac DeVille; not a battery their supplier has on hand. Nor did the dispatcher tell us that when we called for service to replace the battery. What's more, they charge an additional $25 for jumping the battery because it is under the back seat; nor did the dispatcher tell us about that fee. {NOTE: I had removed the seat but they were going to charge me $25 anyway.} Fortunately, my Cadillac was at home when the battery died. RECOMMEND folks ask about what car/vehicle batteries they do not support before subscribing for their service. Also, ask about added (hidden) fees for servicing your particular vehicle (make, year, model). read more

I want to thank Elizabeth Pettenkofer in your travel department for the excellent job she did in preparing our short side trip to Normandy,France while we were staying in London. Elizabeth arranged the two train trips from London to France, the hotel in Bayeux,France, the all day Normandy tour, the pick ups, etc. etc. Everything worked out beautifully- no slip ups,and no problems. She did a wonderful job of finding the right hotel, all day tour, and train transfers. We are so thankful that she took over the entire project in accordance with our financial constraints and saved us the hassle of trying to organize this trip ourselves. Thank you again, Elizabeth! I love AAA TYSON'S Corner. Great Customer service. I worked with Sharon Henderson and not only was she knowledgeable and friendly she was funny and kept me laughing. I will definitely return to that location to work with Sharon. Loved her sense of humor and she asked if I was totally satisfied with the service and I was like more than totally satisfied. read more

Become AAA member and save. I am a AAA member for the past 3 years and I can not be happier. I have not used AAA roadside assistance so far, however I used my AAA card to buy discounted tickets, car rental, travels and hotels. It is just a no brainier, just become a member and you will save 10 times of your membership costs in discounts. As I said, so far I did not have any road emergency to rate AAA road emergency quality, but become member to save on almost anything related to traveling. read more

I have been a long, long-time AAA + member. They never fail to disappoint. True, there are times you might need to wait a little longer than we as busy people may want, but it's worth the security of having this service. They DO prioritize if you do not feel safe. I had the most amazing service today. Flat tire in Tysons Corner, near my office. Put the call in for a change to spare but then realized after speaking with my husband that I don't have one. So changed to a tow to my house which is in Clifton so not close. Steven my service representative that came to my rescue was fantastic!!! I hope Mr. Koch and management realize what a gem they have on their team. He was at the end of his shift and sure he wanted to get home to friends and family but he smiled the entire time as was extremely positive and customer oriented. I have experienced the same with non-AAA tows in their network as well. They do a good job at creating their network. Also, so cool to see how AAA takes care of their employees with travel discounts, planning and payroll deduction to prepay for a vacation with loved ones. Steven is very excited about his trip to Times Square with his girlfriend and I am sure some well deserved time off. Kudos to AAA! Love the service center in Fairfax too. I can pop in for an oil top up but do most of my travel planning online. read more

We went in to book a cruise, and later had to change the dates due to a change in schedules. We were told that our agent would get back to us within a day. 2 weeks later we are still waiting on our agent to get back to us. We've tried in vain to get a hold of our agent. So far we've called ( multiple times), gone in , emailed ( multiple times), and spoken to the office manager. Besides being patronizing, the office manager offered little in way of help/information. We asked that our booking be canceled as such horrendous customer service is beyond the pale. 72 hrs later we are still waiting on the office manager to do this simple task. Take your business elsewhere. You will only be left frustrated and without a vacation here. read more

Went in on a Saturday to get an international drivers license. Was so impressed! The process was efficient, and the office atmosphere very lively and positive. Everyone was genuinely happy and ready to help. I especially appreciated that Kathleen ( the agent who helped me) not only quickly processed my request, but also went out of her way to share ways I could reduce costs and stay safe during my travels! I also talked to Gibrila as part of a "get a quote on your car insurance and a free license pic" deal. Super informative and helpful! (And not salesy). He helped me understand my automobile coverage and pricing better and shared tips for how I can keep my premiums down. Kathleen later told me that he had saved someone 2100/month in an insurance bundle, same coverage. If I weren't moving, would definitely have talked more! read more
