But did a horrible job installing the sink in my bathroom. The sick arrived broken. They said they would replace it but bright the same one back and installed it broken. It was installed not flush to the floor either. So there was a huge gap and stuff got stuck under it. They restored some patchwork, as a kind gesture but it looked worse than before, I wish they would have never roughed it. When we finally got our things from storage, things were missing, things that were brand new in boxes taken out of the new box and placed in one of their boxes, lot of brand new items came back broken. We didn't call to complain about anything else but the missing stuff. Between my husband and I, we called an upward of 20 times, sent emails and text and no one would return our calls, emails, or text. It's sad because they were really kind but this is horrible business. Please take your business elsewhere if your insurance company refers you to them.

I had a flood in my home from a burst pipe. I found Altec Construction online and requested a…read morequote. Jeff was the adjuster that came out to my home. He was so busy all the time with his other cases and would often forget what was going on with mine. He promised a lot, but did not follow through. Then when it came to the reconstruction to be done Altec tried to get out of replacing the floor boards even though it was on the estimate. I had to bring it up to the foreman Shawn's attention. He asked if it was on the estimate? The previous floor boards being replaced were stained, so I wanted them the same. Instead Shawn tried to talk me into having them painted. The workers were not even happy about staining them and did a substandard job. If you are going to do the job, make sure you have someone knowledgeable to do the work. At the end of the claim there were a lot of things on the estimate that were never done, yet the insurance was being charged for them. Like removing furniture from the home, yet they never provided the service. Over $3,000 dollars worth of overage on the estimate. Which also took weeks to resolve with them. I'm glad I made sure to go over my estimate carefully. I would personally not recommend this company.

I contacted Altec Design & Construction to see if they could fabricate a maple trim piece to match the existing kitchen cabinets and fill the gap. Bruno came to my house with a sample piece of maple trim to match the color of the existing microwave cabinet. He took measurements and listened to me describe the desired appearance of the finished trim piece. About 10 days later later he returned with a piece of maple trim that matched the existing cabinet and installed the trim. Beautiful job! His price? ...just one hour of shop labor. Thank you, Bruno!

I emailed him the approved plans, permit, and engineering (I already had completed) the day he came out and was told it would be about a week before he could get me a quote. After 2 weeks not hearing from him, I emailed him for an update and didn't hear back from him for nearly another 2 weeks. So, after about a MONTH I finally received an estimate that was about 5x my other quotes from highly recommended, licensed and insured contractors. My suggestion is to not bother providing "free estimates" if you do not have the bandwidth to follow through.
