This place used to be a pleasure to do business at.not anymore. The employee attitude at DMV counter is beyond piss poor. Walk up to the counter and they treat you like they treat their men.rude, unprofessional, knowing they got you by the juevos. As they walk to the printer, with their back toward the counter they make gestures with the others employees sitting there. You would think that as customers you pay their salaries. I came here to renew my DMV car registration. It has free parking in front of the office and a few are shaded parking . After you show your AAA membership card , there are chairs for you to sit and wait for an agent to help you . There are only one counter and one agent for the DMV car registration. It would take about 15 minutes waiting time . There are AC inside and the right side are tables for travel agents for AAA packages. It is a good and convenient way to get your stickers for car registration and do not need to go to DMV . read more

I want to write this review because I just started going to this location in Newark. I usually go to the one I Steven creek but I was lazy to drive there. So I instead want to try out the AAA office in Newark because it's closer to my house. Once I arrive in the office building I was greeted with a nice person in the front and asked me what kind of service for triple A you need and I said DMV for my registration. And she was kindly helping me. With so I waiting for 10 min to be called. And I got help with a DMV triple A member which it was worth waiting for 10 min. The person who helped me was so nice and cute. I think her name was Natalie was kind and we interact. She deserves a kudos and a raise. I love aaa, I'm personally still with aaa in SoCal. But my parents just recently came to renew their car insurance at this branch in NorCal and came out with a rate of $4000 for the new vehicle at full coverage for the year. They have discounts such as 20 year loyalty and have life insurance with aaa, but that bump in premiums over a 0 point on the drivers history (that they did traffic school for), jacked up the prices completely. Fine, I understand the risk assessment, but on the receipt aaa printed out was for a different customer name and also for a different address. Did my parents pay off someone else's car insurance like a saint? Was that the reason the premiums was so high because they saw someone else's driving history and was telling my parents wrong information or someone's else information!? Was that a break in confidential data?!! Now they are confused and have to go back to the same branch who has mishandled their data and probably someone else data read more

I love this location. The staff is super friendly. I have come in here to get DMV services and the staff is always patient and supportive. I once went in because I needed physical maps. The young lady listened to my needs and help me find the exact correct map for my project. The staff genuinely looks happy when they greet the people entering the location. AAA used to be top notch insurance company... the customer service in this branch is horrible ... anything you ask for oh it's all on line. No I don't want to go online and figure it out . It's why I came in to the branch for help. Not worth the cost of this coverage or membership anymore. Not good when you smile at the customer and say sorry sir it's all online. I've been here for DMV services a few times and they've been really helpful. There is usually a wait when I come in, but the line moves pretty quickly. The most recent time I went, the machine kept not accepting my debit card which was so weird because I know it works. There is a fee for using credit cards, so make sure you can pay with debit card or cash if you don't want to pay the fee. Unlike the actual DMV, they don't accept personal checks. read more

Call to set up my insurance and become a new member with AAA. UC answered the phone was really polite the first day until she made us an appointment for the following day to complete and add us on to become a member. Had us make an appointment for 3 PM on March 21 Friday afternoon. We got there at approximately 10 minutes prior to 3 PM who waited till 342 she looked at us twice and her and the front desk both made a suite and never attended to us. I got their handicap with home nursery waiting, and my son stood at home with his senior citizen grandfather we did not know it was gonna take this long just to not get service or end up leaving with car insurance at all. I love that there's a AAA office in the tri-city area. Parking is always easy and the service is top notch! I usually come in about 2x a year for various reasons. I'm always greeted and assisted by the kindest people! This last visit it was for an international drivers permit. HUGE SHOUTOUT to both Henrique and Will for their assistance. They guided me through the correct paperwork and ensured I had the correct documents. The whole process took only 30-mins. As I waited, I witnessed both assisting other customers in such a friendly and helpful manner. I was so impressed I knew I had to leave a review. My dad made an appointment for me to speak to someone about getting auto insurance. When I arrived, Sam greeted me and assisted me in the process. He even helped me by telling me I can cancel my other insurance that day and get a refund, which was great because I would be saving with AAA. I also apparently came in at a good time; they give a $100 Visa gift card when you sign up for auto insurance. It was icing on the cake! I really appreciated Sam's help and prompt service. I came twice in the last two days to have passport photos taken for my kids and my husband and I. I first came with my kids and the woman at the desk was triaging the line quickly and directing customers to the proper desks efficiently. She asked us to wait in the passport waiting area. Shortly after, another woman came and collected us to get the photos done. I wish I had gotten her name because she was so kind, friendly, and made it a quick and easy experience. Thank you so much! I returned today with my husband to get ours taken and they were having issues with the camera today so we couldn't do them. And though disappointing, Lanee was very courteous and explained the situation. She asked us to call or return in a week as the situation should be resolved. Today 10/1 at 5:30 pm pst I came after my busy shift and planning to submit my application for international driver license, however, the Asian lady with blonde dye hair and glasses at the reception was unwilling to help me. She said they ran out of applications but I had printed the application out online already yet she was unwilling to help me take my passport photo to submit the application. She told me to go to another location. Perhaps it was because she wanted to close shop early but I was there at 5:30 and they close 6pm. I called the Hayward property and explained this and they thought it was odd but told me to come in and they are able to do it for me. She obviously does not want to work and was extremely not helpful. What a waste of membership. read more

I usually come here for the DMV services they have so I usually just come here twice a year to pay my registration for 2 cars. It's nice and convenient, alot faster than actually going to the DMV. After paying, I get my sticker immediately. There's always a line and have to wait at least 15 minutes. I used to go to the Tracy location and hardly ever had to wait in line. Anything we can do at AAA vs the DMV is is always a plus! Everyone is so helpful at this branch. Definitely worth getting at least Roadside Assistance with AAA just to get all the perks of membership. They also handed me a brochure on the Home Security Services they provide.
