This place has sent me away FOUR times while trying to get my handicap plaque. They have reviewed paperwork multiple times and tell me "you need such and such" I do that and they STILL send me away. They needed my doctor to sign and stamp and they STILL sent me away! This is so frustrating. I've done this before and it was no problem and now I come here and they send me away every time and the doctor did sign and stamp the papers! I was in an accident in Floyd and Rose here in Modesto. Your client blew through the stop sign on Rose. She was speeding. I was proceeding to go across the Floyd after my complete stop slowly. She was in a hurry and I hit her on the passenger side door toward her right fender after her screeching halt. Without any officer coming because of no injuries I filled out a police report. I am deemed at fault because she sped through the stop sign and it was not my fault. I want my vehicle fixed. I have been a AAA customer roadside since the 80s. How I was treated by your claims adjuster is just short of slander. I have ins and me the victim and ur speed happy client exchanged info. She blatantly lied. I want my vehicle fixed. Even the towing young man when coming to aid me by Triple AAA said that just by looking at my vehicle it was not my fault and that particular area Rose has many speeders. Its also close to schools of which I am very careful about because I am a retired school employee. I expect for Triple A to fix my vehicle. Your client was at fault its too bad that you all do not do proper investigations and deem innocent people at fault. Shame on You. AAA Modesto Branch is located of of Coffee Rd. This AAA servicing branch does have DMV services at location. All times I have drop in for servicing at this ASA branch had been of scheduled online appointment only. I have traveled just of myself only not being accompanied of any other person, and had utilized my own personal transporation. AAA had car seat inspections which I had the 2nd inspection completed done at this location. First location AAA car seat inspections which had been completed at Moutian view, CA. Both inspectors had provided me certificates for safe completed installation into vehicle. I am a mother of 3 minor children which at all times children need to ride in safety child car seats. My vehicle is of a non smoking non drug usage vehicle. Interaction with staff is primarily spoken communicated in English. Sad I have to say that AAA had my families trust and referrals until.... we actually were in a no-fault accident and have been given the run around for over a month. Look them up on BBB website. They will be listed under CSAA Insurance Group in Walnut Creek (their headquarters). They will treat you rudely, will deny and delay every part of you claim. It is a maze of different " adjusters" in different departments, in different states. Yes - the office is nice now and they are VERY nice when they want your business. However, when your family really needs them to deliver on everything your monthly fee's are paying for - the fall very short. read more

AAA service is becoming the worst. Been a Aaa holder for over 20 years but hardly have to go in because of googlemaps. But when you want to take care of a dmv issues, you can't call to ask a question about what to bring because apparently they have no phones. Then when you show up, you are told you have to make an appointment even though no one is waiting. Then when you get called up, you are told they can't help you transfer your cars title and you have to go to dmv. Although I should have known AAA is failing, because when I tried to call, and couldn't talk to the dmv people, in the long que, you start hearing about buying home alarm systems. That ls how you know a company is failing, when they start panning off other services that really don't have to do with the core business of car insurance. I left this place for insurance years ago because of their pricing vs what they stand behind you for. I kept their road side card tho since I comes in handy and I've been with them for about 25 years. It used to be convenient for DMV Services, plus towing. But now I can do everything on a dmv kiosk anyway so what's the point if you never ever need a tow? I get discounts on attraction passes still? Idk let me tell you how that call went! I call the Modesto, CA branch, and go through their extra extra long automated prompts, to finally get through AAA travel and after 15 minutes on hold someone picks up. I go ahead and ask, "do you have sell tickets for CA Great America?" He asks are you looking no for travel? You called the corporate. No I didn't, your guys auto prompt sent me there when I called my local branch but ok. He said he'll transfer me to the correct place. 15 more minutes on hold and some lady answered next. I ask the same thing and she says "you need to call travel, I'll transfer you" yet again! 10 more minutes on hold and I get yet another person who I repeat for the 3rd time, do you have great America tickets" she responds with "we don't sell them over the phone, you have to look it up online" I explain I've been on hold for 30 minutes, and I literally want to know if you have them, then I can drive there to purchase them, and she said sorry, you have to go online! "Can you just tell me if you have them" once again refuses. AAA SUCKS ALL THE WAY AROUND! read more

So I had no idea that you could renew your registration at AAA. I was on the phone with DMV trying to get a appointment. They were not doing appointments and said I could be at DMV at 6am . They also asked me if I had AAA . I said I did so they told me that I could contact AAA and they will help me with my registration. So after calling AAA the lady told me to bring my ID , my mask, form of payment, and renewal form to local office. I went down to AAA the other day and there was a pretty long line outside. They were only taking a couple people at a time and letting them inside. There was a sign on the window stating that AAA members we're not able to use the restrooms due to COVID-19. That the restrooms were for employees only. They also had stickers on the ground that were 6 feet apart. They had a employee that would come out and check on us and see what we were there for. The line moved pretty quickly. Once inside another employee took my ID , and paperwork. She gave me a form to sign and took my payment. Whole process was super smooth. I was in and out . They remodeled the lobby since the last time I was there and I was impressed. You used to wait standing in a line for DMV services and now there are chairs, tables, and a restroom. What an improvement over the previous lobby. The member queue screens let you know when it's your turn. read more

I called AAA to get towed home after getting a flat on my bicycle in 105 degree weather. The lady that took my call told me that bicycles were not covered under my policy, then she hung up on me. I had to call back and lie to the next lady to get a tow truck out to help me. Once the tow truck got there he also proceeded to tell me that my services didn't include my bicycle. I was left stranded on the side of the road after being a member since 1990 that is 31 years of payments to be stranded in 105 weather!! I got home and decided to call in the next day to clarify my situation. I called the Modesto office this morning to be told in fact my policy does cover my bicycle and TOWING!!! I was told the manager would call me back, that was at 9:57 AM, it is now 11:46AM no call yet!! This is only getting better!! thanks for the service AAA .... WOW It's now 1:35pm and I have called the office twice!! I have left messages and still have not received a call back. read more

I love AAA, and the branch and folks there are top-notch. They are always smiling and very helpful. The services they offer are essential. Last visit was ruined by 3-4 loud old white guys talking about that garbage they heard on Faux Neuz or what TC said or something something Hillary. On the line, waiting like everyone else. Also, complaining loudly to a teller about "Liberals??" This made everyone on line extremely uncomfortable, and there were a lot of minorities and women with children there. It made me uncomfortable knowing there are crazy folks among us, some possibly armed. And I'm a large white dude. A friend told me I could get my Handicap Placard replaced at the 3AAA Office and YES YOU CAN. The procedure does not need your Drs. approval ..you just need the paperwork from your old one. I have no idea how we lost it? But we did and really missed having it, the times we were without it. Never was told that I need to have water in my above ground pool which is a $400 pool from Costco small pool but they need you to have pump in it year-round and have water in it round. They just canceled my homeowners insurance. I just signed up with them couple of weeks ago. Now I have to go look for other home insurance.This is bad business these people are crooks they don't tell you nothing when you are signing up with them and giving them all the money. Worst travel agent ever do not spend your money with Teresa. I've been calling this lady for the last month. She won't return my calls. I go into the office. They say she only sees people by appointment but won't call me back. After my To previous bad experiences with her. I decided to give her another shot anyways. Those first 2 experiences were I scheduled a trip to Jamaica right before the pandemic. The pandemic canceled my trip and they didn't want to give me my money back for the room. Just for the fight. I arrived about an hour after opening on a Friday. AAA had a very polite greeter that directed me where to go for my dmv service. I had to wait maybe ten minutes mostly because of the customers in front of me who apparently did not understand fundamentals of memberships and drivers licenses. One employee was extremely patient with a senior who didn't have his wife on his membership plan. He got testy and she stayed cool and professional. My transaction was polite and under two minutes. My only complaint is that the employee I had didn't ask me if there was any other way they could help me. But they were courteous and efficient. read more

Tis the season of careless drivers. My car was parked at the Vintage Faire Mall while I was doing my part to support the economy, aka Christmas shopping. Since my car is fairly new, I'm still super cautious about where I park in a parking lot. I always try to park far away from everyone else to hopefully avoid dings and dents from careless drivers. When I returned to my car I noticed some scrapes and different color paint on the side of the car. Grrr... There was no reason why someone should park right next to me. There were plenty of parking spots up closer to the enterance. I went home and immediately called AAA in Modesto. I explained that I needed to open a claim. I was then connected to a service agent who was not in the Modesto office. All I can say is WOW! He provided me with the best customer service. He opened the claim, made a referral to a repair shop in Modesto and arranged for me to have a rental car while my car is under repair. He was so personable and very reassuring. He made a difficult and upsetting situation so much more bearable. I felt so much better after talking to him. Now how often can you say that about an insurance company? read more

I had an appointment for getting new auto insurance and when I arrived I was greeted very nicely by the door monitor.My Agent Angel had all my paperwork waiting for me as I discussed the car purchase earlier with him , He explained the policy & cost and the discount I'd receive since I had my homeowners insurance with them also . Bad experience with AAA roadside assistance whatever you do don't purchase it it's way too expensive and they don't help you they leave you hanging. We were stranded in a parking lot at the Wyndham hotel in San Jose California when we came back from a trip;to get back to Modesto our tires on the left side of the car were slashed. Both my husband and my son-in-law called AAA for help and could not get any help. They said we were too far to get home they couldn't take us in their flatbed. We had too many people in our party there was four of us; my son-in-law also got a case #. The whole experience cost us over $1000 to get home . We had to pay for a flatbed truck we had to buy used tires we had to buy new tires after I got home and no assistance roadside assistance. My husband called them the next morning and he told them to cancel our roadside assistance. because of what happened to us they didn't even want to know why he was canceling it they just said OK. I did a follow up with AAA roadside assistance and told them what happened and they said they check into it. After three weeks of waiting for a response I was called by AAA roadside assistance of Modesto and they said oh we have good news we're going to reinstate your cards and pay for it for a full year. I said well what about all the costs incurred because you're not helping us they said I'm sorry you'll have to take care of that yourself. I was contacted from some lady called Melissa at AAA just yesterday and told me to email her my phone number in case number and she never called me back either. They write this on my review so people can see it like they're going to help me and they don't call us back they're liars. read more

I visited my AAA branch to renew the registration on both of my vehicles. There was very little waiting and the staff was friendly, and I achieved what I had come in for in a timely manner. I would recommend AAA to everyone. I am however amazed that not many people are aware that AAA offers DMV services and they can avoid going to DMV and the long waits. read more
