My truck was blowing hot, and I assumed I had a ac line leak. They told me there wasn't a leak, just the control panel needing replaced. They charged $350 to do this, and when I got the truck back it didn't blow at all. They continued by putting 3 or 4 new control panels in, and in the end said they finally fixed it, but now there was a leak and needed another $530 to fix it. I ONLY agreed to continue because they confirmed the truck was blowing properly now. I took it home and it's not blowing at all again. I went in today and they now say it's likely not the control panel at all, but they only agreed to refund $335 dollars or leave the truck with them again after being argumentative and treating me like an idiot. My issue is simply the fact they tried the control panel multiple times, never fixed the blowing issue, lied and said they did so I'd spend another $530 to fix the leak, and now they say it's not the control panel at all. Such a scam. Stay away!!!

On my way home returning from the buffet at Prairie Band Casino my son and his wife stopped for gas and food at the Petro Deli a few miles south of Prairie Band. As I sat in the car awaiting my daughter to get chicken and my son to refuel the vehicle, I watched from beginning to end, a AAA Serviceman prepare a car for tow, and mount it on a large tow truck. I, have been described as a type-A OCD person. In this regard I adamantly prescribe to precision and efficiency. With a high dose of both precision and efficiency I watched this professional young man with care and concern position the car for placement on the lift. He took his time and double checked his work as he skillfully moved through the tedious process. Once the car was atop the tow truck, the man went back and checked his work, again. How impressive to know that AAA Servicemen operate in such a stellar fashion. This man whose name badge read, "Alex", made me proud to be a AAA member. What a tremendous asset Alex is to the AAA franchise. I felt like telling the world what a great job he did in behalf of AAA. So, today, I say, "Rock on, Alex! You, indeed, are a "Rock Star"; and, you are appreciated."

The Lawrence store seems to take it to a different level. They are fair, keep you informed of progress and as we say in the service industry, under promise and over deliver. Now, a new service... they will also perform a 4-wheel alignment at a very reasonable price. Always in your best interest to get an alignment with new tires, to help protect your investment. I worked in the automotive industry as a service manager for many years, and can say without a doubt, their prices and service equal or exceed their competition. I have traded with Discount Tire professionally, as an auto shop manager, and as a client. In both cases, they get the job done, and go the extra mile for their patrons. I had a blowout last night, heading home to Olathe. Today, when I came back to Lawrence for work, I was told the tires I preferred, would not be available until the following day. Zack got with their supplier, got them ordered, and delivered, same day. Much to my surprise, they got me worked in, replaced my aging TPMS sensors, replace the tires, and performed an alignment. All in less than one hour! Lawrence has several options for tire service, and many good options at that. But consistency with each visit, and knowledge and empathy from the front staff can make all the difference when making a decision. Zack, Cody and Dioni all worked as a team along with their tire techs, to ensure I was completely satisfied and got me on my way.

We waited a long time for AAA when their guy came up to us unsolicited. It only took him minutes to change the tire. Then, he waited patiently for us to contact a tire dealer. After that, he gave us protection to pull back onto the turnpike with our space saver tire on the car.

I had to watch out for a biker, a pedestrian, and another car simultaneously, and the lack of safety and confusion almost led to an accident. This is the second time I have seen something like this. All in all, I have had good service with my car there.
