Recently, my insurer drastically increased my rates without informing me why and the only way to address this was to work with Brian. I got in touch with the office and expressed my interest in getting this corrected or having other options before my policy renewed and managed to get Brian on the phone to discuss. He promised I would receive options or a solution by the next business day. I never heard back. I ended up switching to a different insurer (not through avail) and it took multiple attempts to get Avail to cancel my old policy. I think of the whole point of working with an agent is to get better service than dealing directly with an insurer -- with Avail that was certainly not the case.

Through my first decade with State Farm under Tracy and Alan's care, my service satisfaction has always been high while my premiums dropped due to my being a good customer (not having any incidents). I spoke with the agent on the phone, I believe his name was Clifton, and told him that I would not…read morerenew my policy because I was not satisfied with the service. He did not tell me that I needed to take any additional steps for the cancellation, so I understood that I had completed everything necessary. After that, I received the email, what I found particularly disappointing was the tone of the email. I felt that I was being unnecessarily pressured to sign a release form, and the wording of the email made it sound as though I was causing difficulties for them. It came across as if I were the problem, when I was simply following through on my decision not to renew the policy. I believe the agency should review how its staff communicate with customers and ensure that they have the proper knowledge and training. The agent I spoke with on the phone was not professional and seemed inexperienced, and the email I received felt dismissive. My overall experience with the agency, including a previous situation which was unable to assist me with my request or provide a solution, has been disappointing. That is the reason I chose not to continue with this agency. I was not satisfied with the communication, professionalism, or customer service I experienced. At this point, I do not wish to receive any further calls or emails. Please respect my request and do not contact me again.
