I went in yesterday for an appointment to discuss plane tickets, hotels, and attractions for an upcoming trip. I scheduled my appointment with Carly, but she was busy when I arrived, so a woman who said she was her manager took me instead. This manager was one of the most unpleasant people I have ever dealt with in customer service. She was rude, dismissive, patronizing, and the whole interaction felt more like a confrontation rather than getting travel advice. She talked down to me the entire time, looking at me like I was stupid anytime I answered her questions. Carly was wonderful, exactly what you'd expect; she was kind and very helpful. But her manager had an abhorrent attitude and should not be working customer service in my opinion. As a manager, you are the face of your location, you set the tone for your environment. Whoever this woman was, was not that. Her position should certainly be reevaluated and she should be retrained at the least. Props to Carly for being great. read more

Have been a long-time AAA member. The Hamilton branch has good customer service. Typical stop for me is to get a map and whatever brochures available for the region we are traveling to. Stopped in recently to request information on the Finger Lakes region and was greeted promptly. Along with requested items received a few tips on a couple of attractions in that region. read more

I bought a Delsey bag from AAA in Oxford Ohio a couple years ago. I've used Delsey bags for 30 years and they have always been great. This bag suffered from 2 manufacturing defects. I went to the AAA West Chester office for help. I only expected them to try to did up my original receipt so I could go after Delsey which has a ten year warranty. Cindy the manager ended up helping me. She not only found my receipt but she also allowed me to do a no cost exchange with a identical bag that they had in stock. When I got home I saw that she had also emailed me the receipt. I never expected to receive such amazing customer service! Cindy is a rock star! read more

I despise giving negative reviews. The people at this location seemed nice. They provided a lot of good information, but I would recommend keeping your interaction just to information. I would not recommend that you book through AAA. As I was sitting there, the travel agent was giving me room rates at hotels with exorbitant rates. i began looking up the same hotels she was looking at on my cell phone and was finding rates half the price. I politely said that I will get back to here and left. I then decided to plan on my own. It took a few hours, but I literally save thousands of dollars rather than letting the travel agent handle things. Thousands of dollars on a week long vacation allows me to take another vacation. Take my advice, and do it yourself. read more

This was my first visit to this location. So disappointed. I was meet immediately at the door and when I said what I was interested in information on Gettysburg & Frankenmuth I had to add the states for each city. The person seemed to have never heard of either place. She took off around the corner with no indication of whether I should follow. I did & found her at a back corner wall. After searching she found a 2018 travel planner for Gettysburg and a little more searching she found nothing for Frankenmuth (possibly because she was looking for Frankenbooth or Frankenmurth, as she kept calling it). She did find a TourBook Guide for Michigan & Wisconsin but had nothing else. I asked if she had a travel planner on Michigan & she took off to another area. She searched this area but could only find a travel planner for Branson, Michigan. She did check on line & printed out a single piece of paper on Frankenmuth. She also offered to go to the on line visitor bureau to have them mail something to me but I just said I would do that. Is there a reason why the paying customer can't just look at the pamphlets/travel planners? That's just one visit. The 2 previous visits I obtained a trip-tik and both of those gave wrong directions for my destinations. read more

So very disappointed - renewed my membership after 7 years last week - sitting on 75s and was put on hold 3x - 20 minutes due to membership issues - hung up called again - said they ordered a tow truck - on hold 39 minutes - called 3rd time was told I was between two AAA offices and put on hold again as cars speeding past me. 2 hours later still here - could have called my own tow truck (eagle towing - they are fantastic) and paid my own tow bill! I've been a member for 51 years and especially rely on the emergency road service. However my most recent experience involved traveling. Had a trip planned to Florida and of course was going to use the phone for directions but two days before we're ready to leave I thought it might be a good idea to have some state maps just in case something happened on the highway So I called my local AAA and asked if I could pick up some state maps the next day. When I went in not only did I have state maps and an area map I also had a triptic, tour book of my destination, and visitors guide for the states I would be going through. It was all waiting at the counter. read more

Very nice staff. I have been a member of AAA for many years. It is the best membership I have ever bought. The AAA in Hamilton staff is very helpful and pleasant to talk with. Upon entering their establishment I was greeted cheerfully and the lady helped me in picking out books for our trips. read more
