Great shop and likely going to make this my go to for most repairs and servicing. Make sure to call and set up a time as it's a busy shop. My most recent service was for a coolant system flush, and a brake flush. It was at least half the price of what the dealership quoted. All the technicians at AAA car care plus are ASE-certified which is awesome (and expected) so you are in good hands. I have also bought our car batteries from AAA over the past two years and am a big fan of the warranty. In addition to batteries, oil changes, and car repairs, we got our passport photos here as well. They even offer all types of travel services. As a AAA member I was also able to save an additional 10% and use an email coupon for additional savings. Great shop and fair pricing!

First off these people had my car for 2 days! They messaged me towards the end of day 1 saying they were dealing with many tow ins and couldn't get to my car and would be finished the next day. I call around 3pm day 2 and they hadn't even touched it yet and had no idea why it was even there. Miscommunication, but never attempted to contact me to ask.... But they would now get on it and it'd be ready for me at closing. Free oil change next time for inconvenience.. When I finally went to get in my car I was repulsed to find grease and whatever else smeared all over the inside of my light grey interior. Absolutely disgusted with their service I complained to the one person left there for the day but she only offered that I bring it back for them to clean the next day... Never brought me any paper towels to sit on, nothing. I was was still trying to clean up what I could when she left. She wouldn't even look at me on her way out as she pulled out of the parking spot next to me. And pretty sure they didn't fix my brakes. Charged me for the job but didn't do a thing with them... I basically paid them $400 to destroy the inside of my car.

Luckily my drive home was less than 5 miles because my car soon lost power when I tried to accelerate and was blowing white smoke out of the exhaust. It turns out Valvoline did not drain the old oil out or change the oil filter. They just added more oil to what was already in the car. I drained all of the oil from the pan myself after coming home on May 31 but I didn't bother taking the filter off because I didn't expect to drain very much oil off after taking the filter off, and measured out the 5.7 quarts that my car should take. What remains in the square container in the photo is just what was left in the oil pan I went to the ford dealership today for an oil change less than 100 miles after leaving Valvoline - and even after I drained some off, there was still over 8 quarts of oil in my car. Valvoline just did nothing regarding the old oil or old oil filter. They simply added more oil to the engine.

The first time, I was on the phone in tears because I had to get to class and go to work. Keith patiently explained why the tire isn't a quick fix and assured me that everything was going to be okay. Lo and behold, the tire was fixed about 4 hours later and I went on my merry way without pain, anxiety, or hefty bill. It was an amazing experience. Yesterday, the same thing happened and in a panic, I called again at around 4:30 knowing that they were going to close at 5. I talked to Keith again (my hero) and he calmed me down and explained that he didn't have my tire in stock and it might take until Friday (note: the other places I called didn't even share the time it would take to ship from a warehouse). I wanted to drive home to Cleveland on Thursday, but I trusted them and said that it was okay. I towed my car there and couldn't find the key drop slot. Even though they were closed for an hour or so by that time, Keith (again, my hero) came out to get the key. I went to work Thursday morning annoyed with my $10 morning uber ride and my delayed-to-Friday departure home. However, Tuffy called around 3pm and said they had my car done. I'm excited to say that I will be driving home after class tonight and will be reunited with my family at my originally planned time! I'm so thankful to Keith and his team for really prioritizing the customer experience and getting me back on the road ahead of schedule! TL;DR: Tuffy is a wonderful auto center that really cares about their customers. Keith is a superhero. If you want quick, quality work, I recommend this place over every other!

If I could put 0 stars I would…read more My experience with Tuffy has been absolutely unacceptable, and I am honestly disgusted with the way my vehicle and this entire situation were handled. The biggest issue throughout this entire process was the complete lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism. My 2019 Kia Forte needed an engine replacement. My warranty company approved the claim, the replacement engine was sent to Tuffy, and I waited while they completed the repair. After everything I had already gone through with my car being down, I was finally told my vehicle was ready and picked it up believing the problem had been properly repaired and that my vehicle was safe and ready to drive. Less than 24 hours later, my car was having problems AGAIN. It was making a clanking noise, and I ended up having to get the vehicle TOWED right back to Tuffy. Considering they had just replaced my engine, of course I was concerned that something was wrong with the engine or the work that had just been completed. Having to tow a vehicle back to a repair shop less than 24 hours after getting it back from an ENGINE REPLACEMENT is ridiculous in itself. Then came the battery situation, which made this experience even worse. Tuffy put a new battery in my vehicle without properly communicating with me beforehand about the price or making sure I understood and agreed to that additional expense. I should not be finding out AFTER work is done what something is going to cost me. Customers deserve the opportunity to know the price and make a decision before additional parts are installed in their vehicle. When I made it clear that I did not want to pay for a battery that I was not properly informed about beforehand, I was told they could simply remove their new battery, put MY original battery back in my car, and I would not have to pay for theirs. Okay, fine. Except when I came back, I was then told that MY ORIGINAL BATTERY WAS GONE. The employee explained that my old battery had already been given away/returned, meaning they could no longer put MY battery back in my vehicle like they originally told me they would. How do you tell a customer that you can put their original property back into their vehicle and then get rid of that property before the situation is even resolved? Then, to make the situation even more frustrating, the lady with the piercings was struggling to remove Tuffy's battery from my vehicle and acting as though she did not know how to take it out. At that point, I was beyond irritated. This is an AUTO REPAIR SHOP. After everything I had already dealt with, watching an employee struggle with removing a battery from my vehicle while acting like she did not know how to do it was the final straw for me. There was already poor communication surrounding a MAJOR engine replacement. I received my car back only to have to get it towed back less than 24 hours later. Then a battery was installed without the cost being properly communicated to me beforehand. I was told my old battery could be put back in, only to arrive and find out they had already gotten rid of it. Then I had to stand there while an employee struggled to remove the battery they installed. That is not how you handle someone's vehicle, especially after they have trusted your business with something as major as an engine replacement. What bothered me the most was the lack of communication throughout this entire experience. When someone leaves their vehicle with a repair shop, especially for a major repair, they should not have to constantly wonder what is going on with their car, what is being done to it, or what they are going to be charged for. Communication should be BASIC customer service. I gave Tuffy multiple opportunities throughout this process to simply communicate with me and handle things professionally. Instead, one issue seemed to turn into another. I would NOT recommend this location based on my experience. I expected professionalism, transparency, proper communication, and care for my vehicle. Instead, this entire situation left me frustrated, inconvenienced, and completely disappointed with how this business operates. If you decide to bring your vehicle here, I strongly recommend getting EVERYTHING explained to you beforehand, including every repair, every additional part, and every charge, and making sure you know exactly what is happening with any parts being removed from your vehicle.

Not only do I have a foreign car, I have a solid affection for MINI Coopers and all of the quirks that come with owning a German made British roller skate with a motor. I had come here for routine oil changes prior to the pandemic, but the shop got a little full during shut down and it was hard to get a time that worked for me. Anyway.... when my panoramic sunroof got stuck, open, naturally, this week, I called the dealer and they couldn't offer a loaner car until May (!!) and couldn't make any guarantees as to when they could even get the car into the garage after I dropped it off. So, next option - Tom Hatem. RIck also said I'd have to drop the car off, but it was "because I've got a couple of cars in the shop and I don't want you to have to wait around all day," plus, he was confident that if they couldn't fix the sunroof, they could at least render my vehicle water tight before the rain, so off we went. His best guess was 30 minutes of work, but they ended up needing an hour. Rick did the usual great job of explaining what the problem was and how they fixed it. He had the car ready by the following morning, by disconnecting the motor to the sunroof after he had to take the roof off to reset it manually. Either way, I was pleased not to be rained on. Paid for the labor and he gave me a nice write up on what they did, in case I want to have the roof repaired in the future. and off we went. I had a serious problem with my AC: it blasted hot air when the car was in motion. My regular mechanic refilled the freon, tried to fix it, and found it was over his head. No charge for the labor, since he couldn't fix it, but $70 for the freon. He recommended I try the Toyota dealership. I went to the dealership, paid for the inspection, $300, which goes towards any work done. Was told I had two problems with the AC: the freon was over-filled, and the motherboard was bad. They guessed that the overfilled freon was the core problem, and the motherboard was causing a minor, unrelated issue. I expressed doubt, because the freon had just been refilled, and the problem had started before refilling it. The rep insisted that this was the most likely explanation, and that they had to refill the freon anyway. $350 for freon, of which $300 was already covered by the exam fee. Meanwhile $1.5k for the motherboard, which they didn't recommend replacing. So I pay for the freon, my rep says the problem's fixed. I drive away and as I do so I am blasted with 105 F air; the problem was not fixed at all, the freon was a red herring. I didn't want to spend $1.5k with a team that had already made one bad call so I decided to get a second opinion and chose Luke's based on their Yelp reviews. Luke's did an exam, $200 or $250, found that the freon was again overfilled, and thought the problem was with the HVAC actuator and quoted 2.3k. Ouch! (It's a lot of labor as they need to take out the entire dashboard.) I talked to both Luke's and the Toyota guys about their different opinions. Luke's was able to give me the error codes from their exam, while Toyota hadn't retained any paperwork at all. Moreover Luke's was willing to do a second exam, for free, to make sure they were right, while Toyota was not. Toyota agreed that if the actuator needed to be replaced, 2.3k was reasonable. I went back to Luke's for the second exam. They stood by their conclusions. So I bit the bullet and asked them to replace the actuator. They gave me a free car to drive while mine was in the shop. Turned out I didn't need it for long: they were able to replace the actuator quickly by going through a vent, rather than taking out the whole dash. This knocked about $1k off the job in labor. And when I got back in the car, lo and behold, it was fixed! I cannot overemphasis my elation. Luke's did better than the dealership, by a lot. They were accurate while the dealership was incorrect. They were scrupulous and offered a second exam for free. They figured out a way to save me money. And best of all they actually did the job. Highest possible recommendation.
