I cannot recommend the Schrock Road location. On January 10, 2026, we had an oil change before a 125-mile trip. Within 24 hours, we noticed oil leaking from the vehicle. A follow-up inspection found pieces of a shop rag protruding from the oil filter area--clear evidence of improper installation. This could have caused serious engine damage. (I have photos and full documentation.) When I returned to the shop, the manager acknowledged the situation and dismissed it as "just a shop rag" and that "it should be OK." I requested a refund, which was supposedly submitted, but I have received no response after multiple follow-ups with both the location and corporate. read more

This is in a residential area and I hear bass alllllll the time from customers sitting in line there. This is coming from someone with a sub who loves bass too, but it's just constant and I'm over it. There is an etiquette to having a sub and knowing when to turn it down or off depending on surroundings. Tell your customers to turn it off, please. It is a residential area with homes all around it. I tried getting through to the shop via phone, but it's a call center. She tried to transfer me directly to the shop and it automatically was sent to a voicemail that is full that I can't leave messages for. Went in for a simple oil change. Still sitting in the garage and it's been over an hour. Both mechanics are a box of rocks and have no clue what they're doing. Do not come here even if it's your last option. I highly regret giving them my business. I'm almost positive something wasn't done correctly and I'll be making a trip to the dealership soon. I went in for an oil change. They told me that they didn't have the right part for my vehicle (a ford transit connect). I drove away as they were unable to complete the service. A week later I went to Oxford Mechanics to get my oil changed. Apparently these guys left my dipstick out- oil was covering the area beneath the hood of my car. I did not have the best experience here. I will give it to them - they are efficient. But it comes at the cost of quality. While the tech was unscrewing a bolt, i heard "oh shit" as the bolt fell to the floor. I'm almost positive they didn't pick it up and put it back on. The employees are so friendly - I was asked when I first pulled up if my oil change indicator had turned on to make sure I wasn't wasting money by getting an oil change too soon. They were friendly, the online coupon saved me $10 on their oil change service (comparable pricing to Jiffy Lube). They were able to correct the overfill on a tire too when I asked. I waited in line for thirty minutes for them to scan my vehicle and tell me their computer wasn't working for Dodges so they didn't know what oil to put in my car. Just left Osu after giving birth, newborn in the back crying. Came to get a oil change because my car was making a loud clicking sound when I started it and I was afraid my car would break down. I was told I needed a flush. I was hesitant at first because I just gave birth and that was all the money I had left. The guy explained that the flush and the oil change would cost $140. Once the service was completed the total came up to $240 and I couldn't get a refund because service was already complete. One service some how turned into two once he was finished. Yeah I'm never going to a Take 5 again. I've been getting my oil changed here for years and have never had a problem. Most recently, one of the mechanics was drunk and high and broke a part on my car. Of course they tried to avoid making it right, but I stood firm and it turned into a whole inconvenient repair situation. I filed a report with corporate, so I'm hoping they take action before this happens to anyone else. How do I know he was intoxicated? Because the manager straight up told me the following day that the mechanic had an attitude all day and was sitting in his car drinking and smoking weed. I chose this location for an oil change because of its Yelp rating and the 5 stars are spot on! When I pulled into the lot, there were a couple of cars ahead of me. One of the employees brought me a cold bottle of water and assured me that they would be with me shortly. I didn't have to wait long before I was in the bay, getting my oil changed. The attendants were helpful in explaining the differences in the products offered and they were not pushy or trying to make me purchase "extras." Everyone was very friendly and the service was efficient. I liked that I was able to wait in my car and next time I will bring my dog with me since he likes to get out for the occasional adventure. My mid-'20's daughter needed an oil change so, after some checking and reading reviews for this location, I suggested she go here. SEEMINGLY, A BIG MISTAKE ON MY PART!!! They up sold her on the need for full synthetic oil when a synthetic blend would've done the trick. THEN, they said the oil filter didn't need to be changed (ISN'T A NEW OIL FILTER INCLUDED IN THE PRICE BEING CHARGED (BTW, there was no credit on the invoice for not changing the filter!!)???!!! Finally, she was advised that her cabin filter was "packed" and needed to be replaced--thankfully, my daughter did not take them up on this "offer"--I checked the cabin filter shortly thereafter and it was FINE!!!!! Finally, the technician didn't even bother to put the glove compartment back together correctly (you need to remove it to access the cabin filter). With this kind of shady service, I would avoid this place! VERY DISAPPOINTING!!! read more

This was my second time coming into Take 5 for the oil change and it was just as good as the first time. As soon as I arrived, Eric greeted me asking me what type of service I would like. Once I proceeded with the oil change, Tyree and Eric immediately got to work and finished up in less than 10 minutes, overall spending about 11 minutes total. They both displayed my air filters and suggested they weren't up for renewal, instead of trying to sell me on one. Being a single woman living in the city, I've found it to be pretty common that mechanics or other body shops of that nature tend to talk down to me, be inappropriate with me or try to make me feel stupid. All because I'm a woman that doesn't know anything about cars. Needless to say, I always let my car mantience go longer than it should out of sheer anxiety about going to get my oil changed and what I'll have to deal with. I was VERY happy with the service I received from John today. He was soft-spoken, but he was very kind and honest to me about my car's needs. He explained everything he was doing to make sure that I knew what was going on and even helped me a with the price by taking $13 dollars off of my already upgraded service. He really didn't have to do that! I was willing to pay whatever I needed to so that my car would be in good shape, but that was such a kind gesture. He didn't push me into getting anything I didn't plan on getting--he just made very kind and helpful suggestions. I will be going here everytime I get my oil changed from now on and I really hope John will be the one doing it! Shady and untrustworthy. Their technicians try to take advantage of uninformed or unattentive customers. When I asked the tech to reset my dashboard indicator, he told me I shouldn't follow my vehicle's maintenance minder. Instead, he said I should come in for an oil change at the mileage and date on the sticker he put on my windshield. The sticker had my CURRENT mileage and the date listed was just 30 days in the future. He then told me if I wanted to go by the maintenance minder built in to my dashboard that I should come in for service when the remaining oil life gets down to 95%. The same tech serviced my vehicle for my last oil change 6 months or so ago, so this is not a new employee mistake. If you're a savvy customer and know what you want, it might be fine, but they will not hesitate to prey on you if they think they can get away with it. I will never send my wife here for fear they would talk her into a $300 coolant flush or some other such nonsense. read more

I am utterly disgusted with how I was just treated. I pulled up to the closed door, because that's what most places have you do and then they open the door to let you in. There was already another car in the other bay so I sat and waited for around three minutes. I'm patient, I was just chillin' there waiting. The mechanic comes out and starts berating me. How the other door is closed and I should have known to go to the other bay with the car in it. Looking at the door and sign lining how it was closed. Then walked away uttering obscenities flailing his arms around like a toddler who lost his favorite toy. I will never go again due to the lack of professionalism, respect, and decency this mechanic has shown. No wonder they can't keep staff... get control of your toddlers and teach them some manners. read more
